I wanted to make my own beat when i heared that sample !

  • What was the song on the first record?

  • nice "Finsished Beat"

  • kool you make it seem too easy,i know how difficult it can be sometimes

  • Hey Puhl117 you made it welcome to were we have all been standing in our brains since 1993 i sincerely hope your 15.. TheBeatheadMusicShow its funny how great synths sound when you tweak them, you can make a synth fart or pray.... i mean synths are limitless.... leave it to top40 to suck forever btw

  • i love records. just bought some mf doom XD

  • I figured out that the radio isnt for showing the rawest hip hop. Cause it's not. There's so much censorship on the radio it's not even funny. rappers cant keep it real on the radio cause they dont want them to. Thats why underground hip hop will ALWAYS be better.

  • heyy i just started making beats with an mpd 26 but i dont know how to sample songs with fl studio. could you please teach me how to get a song from itunes to fl studio, then how to slice and whatever and sample, and then get all that to a pad.... pleasee much appreciated <3

  • can u tell me how you edit your records in fl studio?

  • what program are you using?

  • @EricErotic77 it looked as though he were using fl studio

  • What kind of Keyboard is that?

  • Hahaha, I just got that record a few weeks ago! But I haven't really looked for anything to take from it yet.

  • The Tavares one, I mean.

  • damn you got some serious latency or your audio in the video isnt lined up

  • what keyboard did you use for the bassline

  • what keyboard is that your using

  • dont forget 2 melt the wax

  • very good beat. i like it a lot.

well now i have to make a beat , ciao!

  • is that a usb turn table

  • :{:{:{please click my video to see me make some hot beats}:}:}: thanks every body

    PS: nice video

  • That crackling is loud as hell! Sounds like someone's getting executed or chicken is frying or something!

  • @ThaRealERAQ lol

  • How do you record from your turntable directly into the computer?

  • Buy New Vinyls MAN!

  • this is dope, how do you get your mpd linked up with your turntable?

  • @AlexCrossleyTV You don't the MPD is just a controller. He inputs the turntable into the computers soundcard records the sample and chops it up in his DAW of choice. The MPD inputs no audio just MIDI signals.

  • so whats the difference between an mpc and an mpd ?

  • @mw2727 mpc is standalone beat machine and mpd is just midi controler hooked to pc or sth.

  • respect!!

  • The Best Man =)

  • What was that song you played on the intro of the video?

  • first song = "feeling alright" by grand funk railroad

second sond = "home" by travis blaque

  • shit's bananas!, keep up the good work

  • your the man

  • nice beat man great ;)

  • finsished. haha dope beat man

  • yeah keep diggin! i gotta get me an mpd its good to see a dude thats gettin dusty fingers

  • can u plz tell me what kind of turntable ur using?

  • it's definitely a numark of some description possibly the tt-usb

  • this shit is hot

  • What is that Tavares song called

  • let the record play

  • I remember this song from somewhere. What is it called? a friend of mind loved this song but i've never gotten the name

  • Can the MPD toggle a loop (so that the sample from one trigger is playing all over again till you stop it trough another hit)??

  • all it does is control the software you are using it with...

if your software can do that

and if you can reassign the parameters then yes.

    it can control any parameter.

  • yes, but the clean sound comes from good monitors and careful eq

  • how does the storage work on this thing? can you upload your own samples into it?

  • No. It is just a trigger like a MIDI keyboard. The sounds stay on your computer and are triggered when to play, how loud etc. by the MPD. You would usually use this with a software DAW such as protools or cubase and a software sampler like gurupads.

  • Hey Idiot .....KILLER BEAT but you can't spell FINISH !!!!

  • smooth beat mayn!

  • nice clean sound .. software is this ?

  • nice beat...I think you should turn the metronome off though, you're better of just using your ear for timing...

  • sumtimes it hard tho when u use a midi controller

    get a little off sumtimes

  • hey man....sorry if i use strange language but i am italian, well i want say you

in this video the time of your metronome is 92?

  • Are you from Sac? looks like the kings logo

  • Yeah viynal deff. sounds better, quality and just in general

  • does anyone know how to turn modern day songs into samples

  • nice work yo, what software ru using?

  • a vinyl has a way greater sound, its sound is more orginal and unique

thats why alot of peeps sample from vinyls other then that

good job on this beat, and good collection of vinyls!

  • could you sample songs straight from your comp or do you have to have a turntable

  • you can use mp3s on your computer...but some prefer the sound AND CRAFT OF DIGGING AND VINYL

  • So Sour

  • loving the beat my bro a hella alot. mad soulful its what we are missing in this game take a look at my stuff if u can

  • 1:44 What's the name of that percussion he's using?

  • thats a snare drum :)

  • Thanks! I'll keep that in mind.

  • lolz at the shots of grabbing the records. good stuff mang, how do you live loop with it?

  • sick!

im debating buying my friends mpd...is it very hard to learn and use?

  • uh...no

  • If only this track was on an mp3 right now!

  • Dope! You make it looks so easy!

  • what kind of turntable is that?

  • is that sum kinda mpc?

  • MPD 24.

  • I just got my Mpd 32 like last week>>Im selling it..

Holla at me any one who wants to by it..Im letting it go for just $200..You save $100..

    Jay Dinari

  • Lovely beat, man...tight!! but can we have a spellcheck please?? LOL!!

  • tip m8

    CLEAN YOUR RECORDS

SOUND LIKE A BOWL OF RICE CRISPIES

  • snap crackle pop

  • it sounds good.

  • @syrett65 tip m8

    REMOVE CAPS LOCK

  • @syrett65 i see you don't know shyt about music, especially VINLY!!! thats what gives it the ORIGINAL and GRITTY sound!!!

  • @syrett65 LMAO you stupid for that, but some people like that crackling sound. I say to each his own, I think it fits well with this particular beat. But you still get cool points for the Rice Crispies joke. . .that was funny.

  • oh dude you screwed me i have to get a setup now son of a .......

  • "finsished" beat????? at the end credits wtf is that?

  • of course you can, what the hell was i asking.

  • the record sound make it sound like hip hop....do you think back in the day they was cleaning the record up to get that sound....na, thats what hip hop is about dirty......people these days ad the record sound in they recordings just to get that pop....tyhis track is sweet, more producer these day need to keep it real, and i mean with the music not this watered down wack ass shit on the radio today

  • @TheBeatheadMusicShow Its also because the needle could be dirty also.

  • @TheBeatheadMusicShow I hate the factory clean boring synths that modern producers make R&B and hip hop with. Sampling is were it's at, and where it should stay IMHO. It just feels so much more real and enjoyable. Plus it's very creative.

  • @TheBeatheadMusicShow I know you posted this awhile ago, but producers back in the day did the same thing. Beatminerz admitted that they made their beats as clean as possible before adding that clicking record sound. So this is nothing new, and all that talk about the magic from "back in the day" is not as true as we might think.

  • I like your beat, except the kick - it sounds a lil bit electronic. A deeper one, which reminds on the classic New York sounds, would sound great.

  • what little drum pad is that called??????

  • its the akai mpd 24. very nice and useful.

  • so is that like a midi controller

  • yea

  • what computer music program are you using?

  • he is using fruity looops.

  • damn dude! sick beat right b4 ur eyes!! that shit is ill

  • nice beat man, my sorta style!

  • tu invece si nu scem brugo

  • nice beat

check mine out when u get a chance

  • La TErcera Crips

  • did u use the FPC?

  • soo good :D

  • mpd it is good too?

  • i like it without the quantize it gives it that real drum feel nothing can be perfect

  • VIVE LA REVOLUTION!!!

  • open your attac ,you sampled it wrong!mad delay bruva!ive noticed yo opend the release function of your sample, thats dope, not many know that, the beat is dope though!but please hpmieee, put up a groove in your drum, ever heard of the groove presets fl has?try it out,no disrespect,,just misses the live feeling,if it would have, nas could spit this

  • Word, it needs more swing. Quantize to a heavily swinged 16th note or 16th-note triplets. Peace.

  • u got soul!

  • is the delay between when you hit the pads and the sound comes because of the video or is it just the midi

  • duuuuuuuude! nice vid!! now what im going to need you to do is tell me how i get the "chopped" sample all on the same pad w/ or w/o using the FPC ...i cant get that shit right for nothing and im a fruity master! lol or at least i feel that way. but thanks in advance! and my apology for coming off a lil cocky! thats just me!

  • first video i saw with the MPD24

  • i like what you did man that's sweet!

  • wow what does this have to do with anything?

  • can i sample with out that turntable or do i need that sampler

  • u can sample with fl studio man

just open up edison in a mixer channel on fl 7

  • yo just got a mpd how would i do something like that

    ps any help would do

  • beats cool but id change that ugly ass kit up with the quickness

  • lsien to the final version on his page

the drums in this video are mad booty crack

but on myspace he thickens it up better

and he doesn't take any preventative measure to keep you from jacking his beats.

    Hmm not smart.

You getting what I'm saying Sour beats?

    Someone's gonna rob your beats.

    R-O-B

  • I have cubase SE and have no idea how to assign my samples to the pads like you have here. How did you spread the sound out like you did? thanks

  • what bassline sound was that i really need that shit

  • thanks for the video man.. very inspirational.. i have little to no equipment.. i use my psp (psp kick), and cakewalk sonar 7 PE.. on a gateway shitty ass computer to make beats.. im thinking of getting an m-audio axom25.. saving up for it.. its under $200.. affordable to me.. i just have to save up for 2 months.. again thanks for the video.. gives me ideas.. keep doing ya thing..

  • I really wish the imageline team could work out a better way to handle the midi latency problems on older machines. Reason runs routines controlled by external midi fine, and if fl studio could master this, i wouldn't have to go back and forth. I like getting it all in one cut, and hate using quantize.

  • nice beat

  • u runnin the mpd with fl???

    Big Upz, LaFondZ

  • its a midi controller duh!!!lol

  • ummmmm really its a midi controller, r u kiddin me..... not shit you dumb fuck, but their are other programs such as reason , native battery, etc

  • I guess you just aren't that intelligent to make the connection and not sound so shocked lol

  • Anyone knows how to use MPD with Cubase-sx??

I mean there are some steps to do or not.....

  • i think MPC's are ncier but i have no clue. what the hell is the difference anyways?

  • the difference is the sampling engine inside the MPCs and the tight sequencing... The older ones sound the thickest/warmest in my opinion (60, 60II, 3000). So if you use the MPD, which is only a midi controller (doesn't sample), that means whatever software/plugins/interface configuration you have will determine the sound.
