I love the murder mystery theme of the game...reminds me of those old black and white films of a killer on the loose and the hero must clear his (on in this case, HER) name. lara Croft still rocks as video games top gal
AoD is incredible, in my opinion; you really had to use your head, rather than shoot at any thing that moved and avoid random death traps. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the older games as well [the new ones not so much.. I liked Anniversary, Legend some what, but Underworld was a big disappointment.] but this was different; I found it stunning, sneaky, interesting. There's a murder, a big new city, a hidden tomb, crazed monsters, a creepy old man, and a hot guy; what a lovely mystery to solve. <3
@neylakinz I agree with you on whole said. The game was scary as hell. Particularly the asylum, the way enemies moved. Plus that red ghost. I always felt they've decided to give a whole new level to the game.

This game was a fail. I do love Tomb Raider though. I mean Angel Of Darkness, had melee and amazing maps, but the storyline was whacko. There is like 4 things happening at once and it's hard to keep up. And you don't eve start raiding tombs until the last portion of the game. It's very depressing that all these amazing features were wasted on a horrible storyline.
@JumbaJohn I bet you loved Underworld, didn't you. Traitour. AoD was stunning and incredible; I think the craziness of how many things were going on at once made it truly special, especially since you were allowed to go whichever way and order you pleased.
@JumbaJohn I'm actually not that concerned with attacking plants; they seemed like a fine idea, either way. It's some thing new, isn't it? I thought the storyline was amazing. The controls are a bit iffy, but not too incredibly difficult to overcome. You just have to deal with it and that's it. :| I think trying to make her more realistic isn't a bad thing.

What I still don't understand is why there was/is so much hate on this game. YES it was different from the games before andmaybe they should've left a little bit more of this old magic in it but all in all Idon't think it sucked that bad. Ugh... yea I've kinda had Angel of Darkness on Playstation2 since it came out and Core Design has a PS2 trailer just for this game. O yea and I have Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3 on PS2.
Technically Anniversary wasn't number 8 that was Underworld. since anniversary was a remake they didn't count it in the count of Tomb raider's so the next game will be 9 and not 10 though your right it should be 10 in the count Anniversary wasn't counted.
that dont make crystal dynamics and eidos proud because tomb raider 1 was the first tomb raider and it was the best seller...i think that they were bored when they were doing traod...it needed more atention thats all
i really liked legend coz u can change her outfits and the levels were pretty fun(japan is my fav=]) but it was way too easy. at least with this game it was actually challenging. in fact i havent finished it yet, still stuck on boaz.
