I never gave this song any thought, always passed over it...... until now. I hope this makes it onto an album eventually. Would make a great hidden track or B-side.
There's rumors out there on fan sites of a possible EP coming out sometime in the next year. For the most part, its all speculation. There was a certain fan who was told of an eventual EP who was right on a lot of information about Big Whiskey (prior to anyone knowing things) but was also wrong on a bunch of stuff. So who knows. Only time will tell.
In Road To Big Whiskey, Dave is in Vegas before a show that night (he talks about getting to soundcheck to Rob). He has a copy of the Super Deluxe package, so we know the album and Little Red Bird were finished. Then he proceeds to record some guitar work for Sugar Will. That strongly points to some sort of release of songs that may be released on an EP.
Strange...Seem's kinda quiet at this concert for SPAC..being that SPAC attracts more high school sluts and frat boys then any other venue...They must be passed out because Crash Into Me wasn't being played.
I have been listening to his music every single say since 2001 and when I say every day, I mean every single day, like sickly every day....And I haven't got tired of a single song. I love every single song as much as the next one, the only one I have a tough time liking is Stand up. Other then that, every single DMB song is the best song I've ever heard. =) Love the band..RIP LeRoi. Thanks for video.
Oh Boy! These guys make an AWESOME team. Tim's solo is 'from a higher consciousness'. Thank you Tim for that. I wish this to be on the new album. Please, please please... Little things like this keeps ME going.
I'm floored. I love it when Dave sings solo jazz pieces. It speaks of a talent that is 'Godsend'. And I'm glad to see Fonzi on the upright. He's stated in the past that at one time it was his fav.
"It's little things that keeps me going"... well said, Dave. More of us than you know can relate to that.
Secret: The reason the dream seem so real is because we're actually there. Thanks birderdj for posting this. It's placed as one of my favorites.
Saw a documentary or something about the band that almost each of all the members play at least a couple of different instruments each. Good to see that they use their skills on stage. The song wasn't half bad either;)
yes it is very true! dave started playing piano at a young age, he said it himself..but he started playing guitar at age 9...but if you watch the stand disc/dvd side you see all the guys all playing different instruments...dave's always been able to play the piano, he just didn't start to write songs on it until he made Stand Up(album)
Reminds of that new Paul McCartney song, "Valentine". Or at least the feel of it.

To see LeRoi come in on his sax late in the song, it is hard not to get choked up. This song is gorgeous.

I believe Dave started playing piano when he was a kid but then started guitar, anyone know if this is true or not?
hupbla87 3 years ago
i think piano is new to him altogether. i mean he is very limited to what he can do

Just when I think I can't love this man anymore than I already do, he fills my heart even fuller. How do I not burst out of my skin.
This is beautiful, poignant. I love seeing Fonz on the cello and Dave on the piano. Keep surprising me guys and changing things up.

just the words i was looking for...he always makes my heart smile

Im pretty sure thats an upright bass... you play the cello with a bow... could be wrong, either way, Fonz can rock it!
