would you recommend not using oils at all? just go the herbal route? what are your thoughts on the baking soda and apple cider for washing? im trying to find alternatives because i dont really like dr. bronners, it leaves a strong scent in my hair and tends to build up, even if i delude it. love your free forms by the way. peace and blessings
Hey I like u persona u seem chill as can be ... Quick question ... How important is it to wrap your hair up at night for the non free formers? I personally don't like to how it seems like it induces the fizz
So, I knew about the whole sugar intake problem -- I just have craving stints where I desire certain foods such as sweet, salty, etc (bad I know) -- & I've always loved milk (ALWAYS) so it's hard for me to fathom life without it but I'll try cutting down...baby steps lol...
So my question concerns the peppermint oil. What's so bad about it? Just curious since I've heard it's pretty good...
exactly , your da first american i see on youtube talkin some blud clad sense , it nuh matter wa u do on da outside , iz wa u consume inna ya body! I call em fashion rastas , ya see niggaz wit rootz inna ya nearest kfc wonderin y a trailer load ah disease an sickness bestow pon dem. fire bun a hypocrite i like ha u say " Pure nonsens"
I got the Rosemary, and sage but I also got mint leaf is this as go as your peppermint. mix everything as you said smell wonderful. Now what does it do for the hair? First time I'm using this.
I use the black soap to wash. But I gotta wait in the next month till my hair tends to lock. Then I could do the rosemary rinse with the black soap collabo. I heard that if u mix brown sugar natural syrup and apple cider if will work better
@cupidvalentino1 cool, i'm vegetarian, but i don't eat dairy, still eat free range eggs tho.... i'm trying to recover from an eating disorder so as soon as i gain my weight back, no more eggs for me! thanks for all the advice in ur vids! it's like having a dread mentor!
@Jstan85 good look, just monitor your hair , i tend to do a lot more work outside in the summer so u may find at some time u want to wash your hair with an all natural castile soap.
@cupidvalentino1 Great Vid! GO natural I eliminated dairy and gluten as well, Plant oils cure everything! You are right everything has chemicals and pharmaceuticals in it its all BULLSHIT!
those things especially the sugar also feeds yeast. Therefore women who experience or suffer from yeast infections need to back up off the refined carbs.
You ain't said nothing but the truth. It's amazing how addicted we are of these products. I've fallen off so badly the past year with a few of them but I'm really trying to get back to making my stuff again and getting back on a more healthier diet regiment. Great vid.
@wagechi29 Happy SUN-day empress, let me kno how it goes..... I'm not a fan of lavender, but for some reason that comes to mind when i think of you. It will give your locks a deep shine. Maybe leave the Sage out if you do the lavender. Peace
@cupidvalentino1 thanks! will try lavender another time. my house is already smelling nice with all that rosemary and sage! waiting for it to cool down at the moment. will keep you updated.
Great video. My hair is about an inch long so i just started my freeforming but should i wash my hair everyday or shuld i wash every other day and rinse every day with the rosemarry sage rinse?
@TheSuiGenesis its really based off your activities .. i started off washing my hair everyday because the environment i was in produced heavy smells. As my dreads have matured I only rinse them "no product." My only reason for really washing my hair back in the past was because it somewhat help'd with the formation of my locks. I wouldn't change anything but to free form is just to let it go.. this worries many but it is what it is FREE FORM
Wonderful video and it's sooo nice to see a young brother putting something like this out!! You are absolutely correct because since I've cut back on all the things you've mentioned my dandruff and skin has improved tremendously. If you don't have access to fresh, let the dried herb steep in the mixture for a much longer period of time to get the good stuff and of course with hot water.
Hey, man I have 3 inch hair right now and I'm going for Freetown dreadlocks, and I rinse my hair everyday, would it lock faster if I don't rinse it so often?
great vid since i been eatin whole foods no meat and using all natural products my dermitis has eased up to almost the point of none existed. also washing more frequently has helped also. i had what u call crater cap where my whole scalp was white and kanked up. i refuse to use the shampoo and oil the doctor perscribed me. i got diagnosed back in 2006. i been using rosemary, sage wit the grapefruit seed extract also i add the GSE to my shampoo...thanx for ur knowledge n sharing
@Tonisoulful Also I would look into one of the rinses on my channel. I have a video called Rosemary Rinse, and how to rinse aye dread two minute tip. I would ptu those into my regiment also. Peace
first i wanna say i love your vibe, the way you speak,an carry your self . And i love your hair. i wouldn't say i'm a free former because sometimes i do twist. but i'm trying to be as natural as possible, what natural product would you recommend i use for those times that i twist. ;-)
@Tonisoulful I would suggest light oils that don't weigh the hair down and would be easy to possibly wash out. Go for almond oil or hemp seed oil, and wash your hair with the most natural shampoo that you care for . You could also use a castile soap in place of shampoo for a more healthier option. peace
Hotep. Thanks for sharing your love & knowledge with us, it can be taxing, so I am truly grateful. Chamomile (tea) is also good to rinse with. It has anti-inflammatory/spamadic properties that will provide some relief as the diet is being assessed. Thanks again!

YAY SAVING MONEY!!! OHHHHHH && You were R I G H T about the water! I've been drinking nothing but the energized water (excluding my protein shakes) since WED and I'm finally regulating in hair moisture, digestion, energy, and cravings! Thanks for sharing! Tutorial for the rinse pls?
