you know...I was very pleasently surprised that they gave a vauge reference to the origin of their names in the DS version. Rubicante says "The frozen winds of hells 9th circle could not penetrate this cloak of flame I wear" the four fiends names are from Dantes Inferno and the 9th circle of hell is indeed frozen over.
