when you live in the city you walk past famous people all the time. Part of the charm of nyc is that people don't stop. People notice but only tourists and fools make a big deal of it. For locals it is just the way it is, who cares. Sort of like movie sets, to a local they are annoying because they close off streets, tourists get excited.
