Mario Kart 7 - 40+ Basic Shortcuts!

The maka wuhu one is where before you go into the cave you stop by the fence and fall into the water and youll go to the other side of the map you will be on your 2nd lap its realy realy cool trust me

Did you know that you don't need the mushrooms fo the Coconut Mall shortcut? You can just drive as fast as normal in the shops.

Is the Gorge Gap shortcut also possible without an Air-Handling-inducing Glider (aka Ghastly Glider), where I would have Air handling 1.5?

I wouldn't mind to lose a little Weight and Drift, but reducing my Air Speed to only 2 seems kind of awkward.

The combo I'd use is Lightweight + Soda Jet + Red Monster.

@OrkTv Any glider is possible to do the shortcut. Apparently Ghastly Glider doesn't give Air-Handling bonus :( (mario wiki)

On the SNES Mario Circuit 2 glider short-cut, you can trick-boost off the yellow booster you know.

It's probably the most well hidden, deliberate shortcut in the game.

I have had some really good times but in most cases I am 20secs off the fastest time; I guess I am not exploiting all the short cuts well enough. I prefer the courses without all the short cuts because I think it makes for a fairer race.

@cosmic25sheep There are a few more cheats to this game then what they stated. Such as the Wuhu Loop cheat right. Right before u enter the cave part. turn to the left and go straight into the water. You should end up on the other side of the course if you have completed it right. Other cheats are listed on mario kart wiki. I will make a video explaining a few later.

@Krazyknux Why would they have any place here? They're not shortcuts. They're exploits. Plus, if someone really wants to know how to do them, they can see videos of them ANYWHERE else. I'd wager there's about a hundred videos of the Maka Wuhu glitch on YouTube. It'd be redundant. This video shows you how to catch up on courses where you don't have an exploit to rely on, which is all of them save one or two. So unless you're a Maka Wuhu spammer, they aren't the "most important ones."
