viola is a little bigger than violin and its pitch is much thicker!

the violin has a E string which is very thin and has a very high sound. A viola has a C string which makes a deeper sound than a violin

@AndyN A viola is supposed to be more gentle(more notes on a lower range) from what I've heard. Normally it plays background music and there are normally fewer pieces with viola then violin. I'm pretty sure the guy in back is playing the viola and the one in front is the violin. The instrument in back looks slightly bigger.

The viola needs to quiet down when the violin's carrying the tune. Also practice moar; the viola's totally lagging half the time, taking cues from the lead instead of both playing together. Er, I don't want to be mean, you guys are great, but I know you could do better. :x

Well I guess you are just the expert on all things music. For one thing, we were both site reading this piece. I arranged it by ear using finale, and I didn't look at the part before we recorded. Second, the viola part is actually pretty difficult, tons of ridiculous shifts and crazy string crossings all the time. And I meant for my part to take cues from the violin part because duh, that's where the melody is, and my part is strictly accompanying. Please, feel free to do a better job than me.
