@letshavelunch77 no he didnt bend the pipes, they are connected to the engine (obviously) which moves when accelerating hard or just revving the engine past a certain point, as a result, the exhaust moves with the engine... you will see the same thing on a lot of other performance cars, especially porsches
Why are people on a vette video talking about surpas? This vette would destroy 99% of all cars including the Bugatti. Excluding a more modded car. Just can't stand supra hype. I used to keep up with my friends non turbo with my v6 mustang lmfao. If I built my gt fully, id have the same power as this vette. Just saying surpas aren't the shit, you can make anything fast with enough money.
@nickk707 rear wheel drive cars have better traction making you and your front wheel drive piece of shit import suck a waste is hondas and toyotas thinking there hot shit spinning there tires at 80 mph(top speed) because they have no traction
@5gen67to10camaro fuck up you degenerate not once did I say fwd cars have more traction you fucking moron or are you going to tell me that awd cars have less traction you piece of shit, watch every single awd car with the same hp absolutely trash this corvette off the line and beyond, I would like to meet you in real life i will fuck you up, people like you only last on the internet fucking troll.
A proper setup on a high horsepower RWD is at no loss of traction. It has less rotating mass, less overall weight, and has plenty of traction. AWD is a band aid for multiple things- lack of driving skill, poor setup, or people who just don't want to learn how to set a car. Why do you think that AWD drag cars aren't more prevalent? They're unnecessary. You'd be hard pressed to find an AWD car with anything more than a slight jump from a dig on this car.
@Tboninator only going off stock cars that have that much hp like the
Veyron and probably I am only taking into consideration 0-100 times, and just assuming that four tyres pulling would be better than two, but what would win in a drag race this corvette against a Veyron or twin turbo Lambo awd over 1 mile.
A Veyron which costs well over a million dollars, and a Lambo that costs over twice this Corvette... The top 100 fastest cars in the Texas Mile 2010 (the most recent one) are ALL RWD cars, including one Gallardo LP560-4 which was converted to RWD. The fastest 'Vette in the 2010 Texas Mile was Mike Howard's which had about 1300 hp and had a faster mile time, and higher speed than any Veyron has.
AWD is a bandaid for those who can't drive. Only thing it's good for is rally.
@Tupples1 True, but that's with a monster turbo with major boost. It's not how many turbos there are, its really about what they are doing. Smaller twin turbos can make the same amount of boost and air flow as a big turbo, without the excessive spooling required. Also the Toyota's turbo isn't hidden in the back like this sneaky setup is.
Before you get snobby and say "2 less cylinders" I have two words for you:
@Tupples1 On race gas, can't forget that part... Single turbo can make plenty of power, twin turbo is just better when it comes to a V8 making big power.
@samsonl7 It ranges from 91 (California) up to 95 I believe in certain states. You can get 100 octane at the pump at select stations that carry race gas. They usually also have up to 116 octane but it's leaded.
@stangnick brother the info about the vid says they were using neither during THIS dyno pull. sure its geared for nitrous and meth, but they had it off during this pull. Strait pump gas. It is possible.
just curious on what turbos were used and if so was the motor fully built with low compression pistons? maybe 8:1 or 8.5:1??????? Im thinking maybe the 3076 turbos?
OK Before I get a beating for asking this question I gotta ask,why are the turbos on the back of the car?? Am I missing something here?? PS I am not a proffesional car person so no need to abuse me if its something very simple. :)
@cessnaclub i thought they were the turbo's too, they probs couldn't fit 2 turbos under the bonnet so they had to put them in the back xD i bet there's huge turbo lag if that's the case.
@effonefifty i get your point and im not trying to argue hear, but a twin turbo evo wasnt producing boost until almost at red line and it was making 1014 whp, ill include the video if you want to see? just saying something making a lot of hp as well and the turbos are pretty close to the eninge and it has that amount of lag. Im no engineer im just saying what I see.
@willnesssgt Turbo experts will tell you that having the turbo closer to the engine is going to be much more efficient. That far away from the engine means more load. IMHO rear mount turbos are a waste of engineering. Keep in close to the engine to you wont have such a narrow power band..
@iPROFITDON Pretty much having the turbo next to the engine helps it spool faster due to the exhaust heat. Having the exhaust travel to the back of the vehicle to get to the turbo requires more exhaust pressure to get the turbos to spool. Also, the additional plumbing means having to run a high boost setting just to get the turbos to spool at the line..
@BLKHAWK91483 Makes sense that it would spool faster with less piping, less distance for the pressure to travel. Maybe given the size of the engines that would be minute? I don't see any problem spooling even on low boost here.
Like custoeG35 said NOS is a brand you idiots learn real life not what you see in the movies.

@hightechcorvette im no expert in corvettes, but was all that equipment in the rear where the trunk should be a rear mounted turbo kit? thx 4reply in advance.
@bradoakley0214 actually you're the dumbass. that IS meth, (or methanol), in the clear tank in the back. the NITROUS is in the 2 white bottles behind the seats. and N.O.S. does NOT mean nitrous, it stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems, it's a brand of nitrous. get your shit straight before you go around calling people dumbasses.
Dynojet or Mustang dyno? Dynojet is great for figuring how much HP you make in space with zero G and zero mass b/c it has no load cell. Impressive if it is a Mustang dyno, less so if you were on a Dynojet...
white smoke doesn't automatically indicate he's running nitrous... when you mess with timing you'll get that when the exhaust valves open too early and let out unburned gas..
Guys if he said they didn't spray kindly stfu and quit hating. These guys have more than 3 times the size of.stock fuel injectors and they're running these motors with rich as hell...this beast probably has a stand alone management system for the fuel delivery so that smoke is nothing but rich air and fuel.
@1badgsr650 No nitrous, I know all about this car and the nitrous system was not hooked up on the new motor, in fact they took the bottles completely out of the car.
@whysosolo Yea, the bottles were in the car but that was just for looks, they were never hooked up to the new engine, they finally took them completely out.
@hightechcorvette bull shit. "just for looks". wtf thats a ricer thing to do and say. no turbos come into boost that hard, as when the car surged forward @ 0:36. that was all nitrous.
just watch some other youtubers vids of dyno pulls for non juiced cars/trucks and you will see that same white smoke after throttle lift from red-line rpm.....oil suctioned past the vavle guides fromatmospheric pressure inside the engine itself...do we need to go into engineering to explain?.or would you just take 5-10 minutes to explore for yourself....then of course you may return to appologize..no harm no foul, unless of course your too hard headed to admit you just learned something new.^5
First they dont show the graph. Second it is obvious they Nitrous sprayed the shit out of it. Third they were spraying methanol on top of that.. How exactly can you call that "On pump gas"
While it may be an impressive number, and great looking build, if your gonna make a claim be truthfull at the very least.
Its no different than saying its a "Stock Block" when in reality it has an ERL Superdeck II in it.. LOL. Not saying it really does, only using it as an example
@1320smackdown I was the one shooting video and I know for a fact they weren't using nitrous, that kit was not even hooked up. You might not want to make that kind of power for very long on pump gas but the video is legit.
@Marshmallowrex bitch boy? thats a good one? and you obviously dont know your shit if you didnt understand what i just said, i made it pretty damn simple to understand
@Marshmallowrex no need to curse at me you little bitch... some supras came TT and some came N/A any supras that are single turbo were swapped from twin or none, ok?
@Marshmallowrex Please put aside your hate for v8s and show me the video. I'd love to see it. I see no 1200 bhp supra on pump gas. Also, do note this is rwhp.
Not to mention this Vette is making that power ON PUMP GAS. I love Supras and anything else fast im not just Domestic biased but you dont see a 2JZ making power like that on pump gas. Mad props to the guys who put this car together.
It would be a lot less lag then a 3.0liter inline six. Bigger the motor the less boost it needs to make more power. Also wity bigger motors you get greater volumes of exhaust flow therefor the ability to spool one big turbo up or two smaller ones quicker then a 4 or 6 cylinder period.
@Marshmallowrex wow your showing your ignorance its all about the setup and how the owner prefers his power delivery to be. You can make the same power by using one big turbo or two smaller ones it doesn't matter. But with a TT setup you get quicker spool and a less peaky powerband that comes on smoother instead of hitting all at once and its more streetable. He could easily just go throw a 101mm turbo on and produce the same amount as any Supra with less boost this is just his preference.
Looks like the exhaust pressure in the hotsides cause the pipes to angle down some on that run. It looked more like the moved out of place rather then actually bent. Nice build and really nice run guys.
thats crazy

@hightechcorvette lol who in the right mind of a tuner hooks up 2 nitrous for looks?? only ricers dude only ricers..
I3lackl3ear 4 months ago
@hightechcorvette bull shit. "just for looks". wtf thats a ricer thing to do and say. no turbos come into boost that hard, as when the car surged forward @ 0:36. that was all nitrous.

just watch some other youtubers vids of dyno pulls for non juiced cars/trucks and you will see that same white smoke after throttle lift from red-line rpm.....oil suctioned past the vavle guides fromatmospheric pressure inside the engine itself...do we need to go into engineering to explain?.or would you just take 5-10 minutes to explore for yourself....then of course you may return to appologize..no harm no foul, unless of course your too hard headed to admit you just learned something new.^5

that thing just shortened the day by 0.00198457372821824 seconds with that pull

Gotta love B.S marketing..

You might not want to make that kind of power for very long on pump gas but the video is legit.
hightechcorvette 7 months ago
@1320smackdown Go look up nelson racing engines. They have pulled well over 1244hp on pump gas.

@Marshmallowrex bitch boy? thats a good one? and you obviously dont know your shit if you didnt understand what i just said, i made it pretty damn simple to understand
TheRiseagainstfan 7 months ago
@Marshmallowrex no need to curse at me you little bitch... some supras came TT and some came N/A any supras that are single turbo were swapped from twin or none, ok?
TheRiseagainstfan 7 months ago
@Marshmallowrex actually supras came stock twin turbo.. and whether twin or single dosent matter.. a twin turbo dosent make more power than a single
TheRiseagainstfan 7 months ago
@Marshmallowrex Please put aside your hate for v8s and show me the video. I'd love to see it. I see no 1200 bhp supra on pump gas. Also, do note this is rwhp.
iPROFITDON 7 months ago
@Marshmallowrex Lame v8? Show me a Supra putting down 1200rwhp on pump gas kid.
iPROFITDON 7 months ago
Not to mention this Vette is making that power ON PUMP GAS. I love Supras and anything else fast im not just Domestic biased but you dont see a 2JZ making power like that on pump gas. Mad props to the guys who put this car together.

It would be a lot less lag then a 3.0liter inline six. Bigger the motor the less boost it needs to make more power. Also wity bigger motors you get greater volumes of exhaust flow therefor the ability to spool one big turbo up or two smaller ones quicker then a 4 or 6 cylinder period.
ArchAngel2911 7 months ago
