The only thing Brittish about BP is its name, adn its history, it's a private company, founded in Britain owned by shareholders all over the world.

When the UK government have regulated BP it only adheres to those regulations when it's at home.

So don't blame britain for BP, we don't like them either.

What we are also ignoring here is that in 2004, a drill owned by BP exploded in Texas, killing 15 people. How come no one has decided to use this as further evidence to BP's stupidity and greed? There are 10 families out there that still are missing there husbands, and 2 families missing wives. Add that to the recent damages by BP, and voila, you have a 26 total death count by BP in the past decade.

BP didn't kill anyone, it was a bubble of methane that escaped from the well. The pressure at the bottom of the ocean will crush you if you went that deep and as the bubble of methane rose to the surface through the drill column, it rapidly expanded, broke a bunch of seals and concrete barriers, and exploded. You can blame a company for a lot of things, but the 11 people that died isn't one of them.
