  • JONAH TAKULA.

  • This is EXACTLY how I feel about almost every book I've been forced to read XD

  • - That is true, every single word of what happened

    - Oh, double balls and bollocks!

  • It's cut off quite sudden.. Any chance of putting all of it up? I would consider any excuse complete BALLS!!! :) Just kidding. Thanx for this mate!

  • Jeremy Clarkson goes to the bookshop.

  • 1:47, WHAT IS THAT?! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • fart at 0:00

  • That book is not big enough to be Jane Eyre. I felt like saying this all throughout the book.

  • 0:41 Hugh Laurie visibly trying to contain laughter!

  • I love that the clerk knows the exact year Charlotte Bronte died.

Although I always wondered what "like a Turk" did mean.

  • @IoEstasCedonta i gues turks used to sit cross legged?

  • Should've handed him a copy of Twilight.

  • BALLS!

  • I have various friends who have worked in bookshops and they've all had customers like this.

  • Fry seems to have perfectly captured the personality of your average youtube commentator (said the youtube commentator)

  • fry looks like clarkson in this

  • WHAT'S THIS SHOW CALLED?

  • @MFlorsosa a bit of fry and laurie

  • now i am in year 2045 pm

    hahaha

  • 9 people have already seen a turk mount a window seat

  • cunning Lord Melchett and airhead Prince George.

  • I don't get the joke with the word "balls"...

  • @dontmindmees

There is no joke as such. He's just saying "balls" as in "bollocks" as in "testicles" as in:

    "it's complete rubbish".

  • oh, double balls and bollocks

  • Stephen's face at 1:11 is hilarious.

  • @hellopolly87 TOTALLY!!!! HAHAHA

  • oooooooh baaaaaahhhhaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllzzzzzzz .gota love Fry

    great video mate

  • BALLS in the sense of being BAAALLLLS.

  • I agree with Stephen: Jane Eyre is balls!

  • 02:04 - Best line evah!

  • @LiahUK You have no idea how hard I just laughed xD

  • classic parrot sketch style!

  • 'Double balls and bollacks' llol

  • i yell balls all the time whne im mad !!!!!

  • Whenever Stephen Fry wears a curly wig, he looks like the love child of Jeremy Clarkson and James May.

  • @CF1975 You're right! he has Clarkson's chin and May's eyes!

  • OOOOOOOHHHHHH BAAALLLLLLLLSSSS!!

  • im reading finnegans wake. its balls...

  • Double balls and bollocks!

  • Double balls and bollocks!

  • BALLS in the sense of BALLS!

  • thanks to this video i say BALLS whenever i am frustrated now...

  • I'm gonna start saying Balls to all things crap! :D

  • @LiahUK I'd call it a hate child.

  • "...it's complete balls!"

  • i love stephens hair style... :D

  • double ballbag bollocks! ha ha

  • *double balls and bollocks.

  • This is one of my favorite sketches ever! Balls has become my default curse. oh balls, I'm late. Balls!! where'd my phone go?!

  • "Balls in what sense?"

"Balls in the sense of balls"

  • I think Stephen's trying not to laugh at 0.41.

  • u mean hugh

  • No I meant Stephen, but yes obviously Hugh as well. But you can tell with the camera shot from behind that Stephen was trying to keep a straight face as well. I reckon he ad-libbed the " 5 minutes to 7 " line to try and catch Hugh out.

  • lol i can barely see it, but i guess you are right. still a fucking funny sketch

  • I'm quite sure you mean Hugh

  • @stewux Hugh you mean?

  • Hahaha that is too funny.

  • quite dead!

  • "Oh double balls and bollocks"

    ROFL xD

  • This sort of exchange is eerily familiar to someone working in a bookshop. There may be no greater term of abuse in the English language than 'customer'.

Fry and Laurie very much rule.

  • Interesting how somebody with just one word to use for literary criticism can apply it to absolutely anything you give them.

  • I just love Stephen's hair in this <3

  • Oh Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalls!

  • Charlotte wrote Jane Eyre, Emily wrote Wuthering heights :)

kick your English teacher for me, will you?

  • Kindly get your facts right before attempting snobbishness.

  • Weird...I have read Wuthering Heights. It had Emily Brontë's name on the cover, and my copy of Jane Eyre has Charlotte's name on it. Better write to the publishing houses and tell them they got it wrong...

  • Jane Eyre was by Charlotte Bronte...not Emily...and Wuthering Heights was Emily's first and only novel.

  • BALLLLLLLLSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! LMAO

  • This one always cracks me up =P

  • BAWLS IN THE SENSE OF BAWLS.

  • i never knew Brian May was a Stephen Fry impersonator, not very good is he?

  • "That's five minutes to seven, isn't it?"

  • ah, never a dull moment at Waterstones

  • I hope he is going to give Alan Davies his hair back when he's finished with it!

  • hhaha. now you've said that, the hair is very similar to alans;)

  • @dfarmbrough HAHAHAHAHAHA fantastic!

  • @dfarmbrough

i so thought it was him before i hit play lol

  • Oh Lord. Stephen's facial expressions at 1:12 had me hysterics.

  • Balls in what sense?

  • balls in the sense of balls!

  • BAAALLS!

  • It's complete BAAALLS!

  • Oh double balls and BOLLOCKS!

  • ".....that doesn't have some dead bitch calling you reader all the time!"

    hahahahaha

  • lol the wig

  • Oh my gosh that wig is just priceless. :D

    Great sketch.

  • One of my fave books ever. I love this sketch.

  • I just watched 2.27 - What the hell are you on about? His acting is fantastic.

  • "The whole thing's just BAAALLS from start to finish!" lol

  • Balls in what sense?

  • The curl at the back of hugh's neck is gorgeous!

  • Now that you mentioned it, I can't stop staring at it...and you're right! All of him is just gorgeous.

  • Haha, gorgeous to a point of slight obsession. What about House, are you a fan of the accent?

  • Who's got the obsession...you are me? I am a bit guilty as charged, I admit. I think he does one of best American accents I've heard, and I like how it sounds (he uses it a little when he sings in Band from TV) , but his real voice is just lovely. (I'm an American girl who's got a thing for British guys)

  • Oooohhh you really shouldn't have pointed that out. I spent the entire sketch staring as well....gosh I love Hugh. Handsome handsome man... 'Course, Stephen's awesome as well : )

  • haHA, BIRDMAN! GET IN HERE! This is genius!

  • 2:06!! Oh, Baaaaaaaaaaaaaalls!

  • One of my favourite sketches of a Bit of Fry and Laurie. Have seen it a million times by now, and I'm still laughing with tears.

  • NICE PERM

  • If you say 'OH Balls!' real loud to dismiss someone, you'll be surprised how much impact it has. I started doing that after watching this sketch and I've won a lot of arguments since, lol.

  • " the whole things just baaaaaalls from start to finish"

    XD hilarious!

  • I think it is more "double balls and bollocks" :)

  • "It's just complete balls"

    "Balls in what sense?"

"Balls in the sense of balls"

Classic and hilarious sketch by them. Wonder if Stephen got a record in saying the word "balls" most times in 3 minutes?

  • "--And what Turk!? Have you ever seen a Turk mount a window seat? It's complete BALLS."

"Well ...I-I think you're supposed to imagine it...!"

"Oh! Oh, really? Alright, then wha-wha-wha-- Alright, how-- how about thi-thi-thi-thi-thi-thi-this page here?"

    Bahaha.

    Thank you, Hugh and Stephen.

I'm going to start saying everything is 'balls' from here on out.

  • Hahahah

    "Reader--pff-pff-pff-pff-pff-READER!"

  • Ballsy ballsy balls balls! Double balls!

  • I LOVE the "pff, pff, pff" noise Stephen makes before the "reader, I married him" comment.

  • For som reason Stephen Fry reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson in this.

  • Yeah, the perm is one of those looks that makes everyone look like a 90's Jeremy Clarkson.

  • 'and doesn't have some dead bitch calling me "reader" all the time'. bahaha.

  • double balls and bollocks lmao

  • "its baaaaalls, thats why"... lol

  • And to think, people my age now actually use that term

  • Fry in that wig! Lol

  • one of my faves,

  • WINDOW SEAT

  • i love fry e laurie!!they re the best!!

  • roflz!1

  • Another flawless interpretation of an intellectual ignoramous who is aspiring to be cultured but failing miserably by trying to read books he doesn't understand so calls it all complete BALLS!! out of sheer frustration.Classic
