thank god i didn't go with a bigger turbo on my FD cause i have about 3mm between the wheel well and 1mm in between the lower intake manifold ha ha ha i bolted the turbo on first before i had the intake manifold on and had to take off the turbo again and downpipe cause it wouldn't fit on the 2 fixed bolts that are off the rotor housing were just to tight i'm sure i'm not done with the head aches ha ha ha and hopefully i'm not doing 2 steps backwards and 1 forward for the rest of the build
ha ha ha stock engine that's a good one it sounds like its got a brigde port and we both know that the stock fuel system couldn't handle 620whp the stock turbo's would just crack and never put out that much power about the only thing that's stock on that FD is the suspension even the axles couldn't handle that kind of hard lauch if i remember right its got a Gt35R Garrett turbo pushing 27psi i love Rx7's i have a 92 right hand drive that's should have around the same power i got a Gt40R on it

robo I'd stop hating unless you've seen what these FD motors can do stock. A buddy of mine here in NC maxed out a 720hp dyno with his REW and all it had was a streetport, no pinning. If this was a 13b or 12a I'd definitely say BS, but with a good tune that prevents detonation and a little luck this is possible. Stock ports on an FD flow considerable more air than the 12a/13b and also the irons are thicker.

@skeckevo My car went 8.600@156 last year on 26 x 8.5" tires and low boost. I tried higher boost and still only managed a 8.67@167 mph. It's not easy with 8.5" tires..

@Tj1056 huge ass injectors and e85 will boost whp over 91oct . its like running methanol except its 85% ethanol and 15% petroleum so the rednecks wont drink it
@Tj1056 well you would have to understand turbo flow rating and know how to read a compressor map of the turbo. choke line , surge line , efficiency island , turbo speed , pressure ratio , mass flow , etc . then you would have to calculate engine displacement , rpm , ambient conditions , etc . then you have to tune it to a specific air/fuel ratio and specific fuel consuption . also the turbo could have a ported compressor shroud and possible different turbine and compressor wheels .
@Red97Avenger then... it wouldnt be a gt35r anymore I would say... but yes the gt35r is limited to 550hp or so... and you take about 15% or so power off for the rotary because 35r can only spool so much and max is around 450hp... that is why I asked before if he is still using the gt35r...
@Tj1056 actually you have it backwards . the 13b operates using 4 strokes where as for example an inline 4 cylinder engine uses 2 strokes . infact the 13b turbo engine spools its turbo as would a 2.6 liter piston engine .

hey man you really running stock engine with no internal modifications? do you have water injection or stuff like that? cuz my FD has 124 000km on stock engine from 93 and its about to die so i was thinking about getting a brand new rebuilt engine cuz ny block has cracked with the time and i was thinking about a 2jz swap but plz confirm that ur engine is stock and im putting back a 13b jdm in therr :D

@JTthestreetking been running strong for over 2 years now.. multiple 9 sec passes.. over 100 dyno pulls, handful of street races. motor is and was tired with low compression the whole time.. It will not die !!!

@Tj1056 well you would have to understand turbo flow rating and know how to read a compressor map of the turbo. choke line , surge line , efficiency island , turbo speed , pressure ratio , mass flow , etc . then you would have to calculate engine displacement , rpm , ambient conditions , etc . then you have to tune it to a specific air/fuel ratio and specific fuel consuption . also the turbo could have a ported compressor shroud and possible different turbine and compressor wheels .

@Red97Avenger then... it wouldnt be a gt35r anymore I would say... but yes the gt35r is limited to 550hp or so... and you take about 15% or so power off for the rotary because 35r can only spool so much and max is around 450hp... that is why I asked before if he is still using the gt35r...

@Tj1056 actually you have it backwards . the 13b operates using 4 strokes where as for example an inline 4 cylinder engine uses 2 strokes . infact the 13b turbo engine spools its turbo as would a 2.6 liter piston engine .
