Well, I'll admit that the cavalier almost cruel attitude towards marriage & mate grated against the humorous tone the movie tried to set. It's hard to regard an adultress as adorable, while your heart is breaking for the husband. I like this movie as a tragedy. The ending is more like a fantasy.

I have to see how it ends. So far the wife has only herself to blame. Husband loves her--both are in need of a romantic adventure together.

Also, their life is secular. That will always result in emptiness, sooner or later.

@Lunawhynot I think she needs to realise that she had a great romantic beginning to the relationship, but marriage is not like that every day. I say this is as someone looking forward to celebrating her ninth anniversary tomorrow with the most wonderful man. I can tell you every day is not a meet cute-whirlwind Paris romance, but the romance in the small events of day-to-day life is sooooo much better.
