@danielkrieger1 What do you mean by the Colombian? Don't refer to the FARC as the Colombians. That is offensive to the majority of Colombians who are good people. and They got rescue by the Colombian Army.
'Stansell, 44, [former marine of Florida] told the Associated Press:
"I watched her [Bentancourt] try to take over the camp with an arrogance that was out of control. Some of the [FARC] guards treated us better than she did."
its pretty sad how they brain wash people in this country with the foreign american policies and people believe it with out a doubt. Only the ones that trouble outside of the U.S begin to educate themselves on what the real world is and not the hollywood world they know.
I'm a Colombian citizen who lives outside COLOMBIA. I am full of joy that the 3 North Americans and the group of Colombians rescued are back home with their families, carrying on a new life. But lets please understand that the drug trafficking problem is not only Colombia's concern, but also the U.S concern as it is the main consumer in the world. If only all that money that is spent in Colombia to buy guns and kill innocents is invested internally in the US to combat the mafias and the corrupts
bravo David, finally someone with something smart to say. yo tambien soy Colombiano viviendo fuera de nuestro pais--por ahora. creo que 2009 será un año muy exitoso para el pueblo colombiano..... que se cuide
We must keep on showing the world the facts about nowadays terrorism, abuse and hatred.Nobody deserves this.Colombia needs to get rid of the farce. They have been abusing our country for almost 50 years.
How humiliating was it when they forced the hostages to "say something to the camera" and they didn't act like dogs for the cookie...well done guys...farce was not in control that time even when carrying weapons!!!I love your attitude...same as mine under pressure!!! welcome home!!!
if you want to say or state something about the farc or the release of the hostages you might want to consider thats its spelt Colombia not columbia. Shows how credibile your statement is .
Marc was in Columbia as a civilian contractor gathering counter narcotics intelligence. BTW, My husband knew Marc when they were both in the Air Force in Florida. Marc and his wife took care of my husband for awhile after his first wife left him. My husband was so happy when he heard they were rescued. He shook and cried. He had been waiting so long for this.
A tip: combat drug trafficking in his country ... you are the first drug-users in the world, should combat corruption in his country and stop interfering in our countries. Gonsalves is a mercenary... open your eyes.
You are right, the consumers of drugs are making it a profitable business. The problem though needs to be adressed at its roots, and the problem is the terrorist group FARC that has been there since the 1950s. When they became a terrorist group, they lost public support and started with trafficking and kidnapping as a way to finance their activities. US, Europe and other countries need to help Uribe to win the war on these terrorists.
I do not agree with what you say. U.S. and Europe must combat drug trafficking on its territory, tackle corruption of their politicians and border police. U.S. uses the excuse of combating drug trafficking only to intervene Colombia and dominate the resourses of South America.

Un consejo: combatan el narcotráfico en su país... ustedes son los primeros consumidores de droga en el mundo, deben combatir la corrupcion de su país y dejar de interferir en nuestros paises. Gonsalves es un mercenario... abra los ojos.
what is YOUR job!defending these terrorists....don't you understand we elected a president who is leading us to get rid of losers that support the farce? And he's going to third election because we are going to vote for him AGAIN?So we displaced, and good Colombian citizens can go back home and work and live like we were supposed to do since we were born?

no, you're a joke & a coward to boot. but whatever, lemme know if you want to do something. otherwise i won't play these games with you. you're not to be taken seriously
no you didn't jeff. who are you trying to show off for dude? you give me a hotel address but no room or last name. i give the number to call your bluff & you dont even call it. if you're going to be a coward that's fine. but don't incorporate me into your lie
again, LOOK IT UP instead of being a moron. i understand that being wrong is not something that you want to do. cowards usually problem solve like that. but go ahead, keep making a fool of yourself jeff. keep thinking that because people are historical figures, they don't have more than 1 dimension. it's only you who looks stupid at that rate. cheers!
absolutely, he had very strong feelings about capitalism & was even known to call la migra on illegals. a big part of the GOP ethos is about capitalism. look it up before you comment back. there's nothing worse than looking stupid when you don't have to
it's funny i haven't seen ANYTHINg from the AP about how America is sexually torturing prisoners by WIPING MENSTRUAL BLOOD on prisoners, making them stick objects up their rectums making them masturbate. remember RUPERT MURDOCH, THE FOX NEWS MAN, IS ON THE BOARD OF THE AP.
atleast the Colombians were nice enough let them alive in one piece even though they were probably treated like shit

As a Colombian, who's been living in Colombia my whole life, what I can say is that everything Marc Gonsalves said about the FARC is absolutely true.
I'm glad these three guys, Ingrid and the other 11 Colombians are back home with their families.
