  • Love it! <3

  • Just to let people know, the members of Switchfoot don't call themselves a Christian band. They're a band that anyone can listen to and relate to. They are Christians, and a lot of the time things from their religion end up in their songs because God is a big influence. They do not want to put themselves in a box by labeling themselves as a Christian band.

  • @Crosscountry618 They are Christians and ALOT of their music is about the Christian faith or refers to scripture.

  • So... they're a band with Christian members, and Christian lyrics to Christian songs, but they're not a Christian band?

  • @MrKokirian Can I ask an honest question? Which of the lyrics in this song are "Christian lyrics?"

  • good song

  • switchfoot is frickin amazing!!!!!!!

  • Are they a christian band?

    I'm so confused!! =P

  • yes thier cristian

  • their a christian band but their record company decided if they took the "christian rock" lable off themself they would reach more people and they were right. alot of people dont realize they are christian

  • They are a band of Christians, but they don't necessarily work under the "Christian" genre of music.

  • @Crosscountry618

    Yes indeed. :-)

  • @Crosscountry618 They are not a "christian" band, even though individually they are christian, their songs are about reality, as they see. Of course what they have learned as christians influences their lyrics. in my opinion it just makes them better lyrics, becuase they talk about deeper things than just liking girls or getting laid.

  • @Crosscountry618

Yes, this songs pretty much on being stuck on the empty and depressing world "used to bad news" and think of how most songs are negative and drags people down. "On Fire" is like feeling a powerful presence from God full of love and compassion, and "Gone" is kind of like Dust in the Wind by Kansas, no hope in materials that will basically decay.

  • @Crosscountry618 They're "Christians in a band." They talk about things relevant to their lives, and they always talk about their perspective, philosophical and spiritual. They don't preach or anything. They share encouragement, they share their hopeful perspective, and they rock out. They've said many times that they're not a "Christian band," but rather Christians in a band. They're cool like that. By the way, I accidently Thumbs Downed your comment trying to click "Reply." Sorry. ^^'

  • @Crosscountry618 Yeah, a Cristian rock band I think. =)

  • @Crosscountry618 Yessum, but Christian bands don't always sing songs about Christ.

  • @Crosscountry618 they are not a christian band. they are four pronounced christians that started a rock band and allude to scripture in their songs

  • @Crosscountry618 They are Christians......They are a band.... But they think Christian is not a genre, so they are just some Christians that make great music :)

  • @Crosscountry618 The four band members are Christian but don't like to "label" themselves as a Christian band. They want everyone to enjoy their music and spread a good message through their songs, no matter what your religion is. They often allude to the Bible, scripture, and Christian-related things because it's what they're thinking about & going through at the time.

  • @Crosscountry618
