  • by the way ive seen it on other video's of some loco's mainly bulleid pacifics but whats the explanation for the tank engine sliding along at 10 seconds without its wheels moving? cause that really bugs me trying to figure that out lol are the brakes just on full or something while its moving?

  • wow! What a combination!

  • 34028 was later found to have run hot.

  • thats probibly the fastest that M7 has ever been

  • No its been on the mainline before

  • short but sweet

  • 5*****

  • Manston i heard is going to the MHR for a while

  • What?

    Who told you that?

  • the driver of canadian pacific he's from the MHR

  • I'd like to see Manston operating on other railways now that it has been run-in.

  • 5*****!

  • Great Video, 5 Stars! any idea which class 37 and class 33 that was?

  • 37 706 and 33 103 Swordfish

  • Thanks for that, and idea why 34070 is still at Eastleigh?

  • Not entirely sure but there was a small problem with lubrication of the motion at Eastleigh we were informed, but that may not be the reason it has remained!

  • Cool, thanks for that! do you think it could be staying so it can be brought up to main line standards?

  • I doubt it Southern Locomotives wouldn't risk jeopardising their other loco restorations for the sake of getting Manston mainline certified. Nice thought though!

  • That is what i thougth it was doing at Eastleigh

  • Cool, I hope it is!

  • 34070 is staying at eastleigh to be lifted. It says on the swanage railways website

  • Wonder why it needs lifting? Its performed faultlessly so far!

  • Lifted, for what to be done?

  • It must need lifting to cure the lubrication problem I'm assuming...they'll need to gain access to the motion for this.

  • Thanks for the explanation!

  • No the front bogie ran a hot box nothing to do with the motion!

  • to be honest i have no idea it just says on the railways website. to me it looks like a good performer and it don't look like any work needs doing. so i really i dunno

  • ok, dont worry!
