  • hey a middle class white guy who smoked a joint and thinks he's a genius how original

  • @MissRBFans hey an annonymous ass hole

  • i hate you so much

  • I was gonna say something witty, but PENIS

  • I am the blue hanging shelves in the background

  • DATA STOP DATA STOP

  • what a dork!!

  • Hey Data, say contractions. Sheesh.

  • 3:40 "It's like my brain has learned to activate itself, or activate some of the parts cannibis activates... but without the substance" I know exactly what you mean man.

  • Youre trying to convince everyone 'youre not high' but you have like 6 bongs in the background. Thats awesome, haha

  • haha, You need to read a brief history of time by stephan hawkings. It'll set you straight, lol. No, seriously. THC doesn't act like a key.

  • Wait..............what???????

    I'm confused.

  • you have colapse your particule funtion intu a wave all posibility and none at the same time

  • dude if you have trippy fucking awsome thoughts like that you have to do a video as long as you possibly can to document so that if you forget you can go back to it and rediscover what it is you thought before and see if it makes any sense after like a week. if this makes no sense im sorry but im a little fucked up

  • that happens to me when im playing guitar. i just keep playing one tune without even thinking about it and just think. the entire world just floats away and becomes calm. i just strum and hear nothing but my own thoughts. nothing can phase me. i love it. all the hate and pain in the world just vanish. it helps when i get hurt. i have been rushed to the hospital with a shattered femur and i sent myself into this state and felt nothing no anger no pain as if my mind dove into a pool of knowledge

  • I've been in that exact state on several occasions. Pacing around my apartment with the ideas flooding in, and the dots connecting themselves. My girlfriend thinking I've gone off the deep end. Reality seems so much smaller in those instances. Seems like you could reach out and wrap your hands around it. All of a sudden things seemingly unrelated begin to fit together in ways not previously imagined. I wish I could figure out how to do it at will.

  • awsome! :D self high? you think to hard... you need a break... thats probubly what your brain is teling you >>; sigh lol

  • I have been in this state of mind before.

  • If I understand matters rightly the universe is built around numbers. And the Kabbalah, a mystical system in which numbers are profoundly important, teaches that the human soul is a microcosm of the universe.

  • I've felt this way before also, but I don't remember why and I don't know how to get back there.

  • 3:37-3:57 was EXACTLY what I was thinking about today as I was taking a walk and thinking about this.

  • i love your metaphors....and i feel the exact same

  • i feel exactly the same. we are all one. i swear to... umm.... everything

  • Wow, ditto. It's really interesting how so many of us feel the same.

  • its weird too

  • i no exacly what you are talking about dude

  • i feel the same way

  • i think its funny how agent smith from the matrix is in the related videos because talk just like him :P

  • fascinating

  • someone going through there midlife crises

  • If you have some time you should pick up The Elegant Universe, Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy, and Life After Death.

I think you would find their ideas and questions well aligned to your own.

  • When considering quantum physics, your average everyday sanity goes out the fucking window. ...So to speak....

It happened to me a few times when I got quantum-ranty.

  • i just realized, we can all be dead we just dont know, or this can all be a dream. this changes everything

  • Does it matter? As long as we perceive it as reality

  • That's what I felt like when I was fucking high.

  • Everything is logical, even the illogical. It is logical to be illogical. It's the experience of experimental mentality.

Questioning physics is like questioning authority, they both were defined by man. Formulas are guides to predict accurately.

Also... Wow, from the last viewed video(your latest), this is a huge contrast! First assumption was you were bipolar, but now I get you. I've the same thought spurts. Another good video!

  • Called controlling our sub-conscious mind, the mind actually works like a radio...this has been Scientifically proven, research it.

  • Very interesting thoughts, especially on mathematics and the brain. The idea is intriguing. It gets confusing if looked into deeply. Would mathematics exist without the human brain? All matter might follow the laws of physics but does this explain mathematics? It seems as though mathematics should exist regardless and external of anything physical. Maybe/

  • i get that feeling a lot

  • I felt like that sort of when I converted to deism breifly before going strickly to atheism.

Everything was totally awesome. Girls suddenly found me attractive.

  • I won't go too in depth but when you mentioned your theory on the brain activating itself it sounds like how Buddha supposedly achieved Nirvana. Seems like you're in the same position, Buddha didn't necessarily believe in any gods but did believe there was a greater calling to all of us as a whole. I can't agree more with that statement "We are the universe" you may have activated your sense of being completely one with everything in the universe. We all came from one thing at some point.

  • the universe observing itself through humans is a fucking cool idea. In that regard we could be a sort of physically rendered bridge or midpoint between the subconscious or unconscious mass of the universe and its own awareness.

  • Sorry if you've been asked this before and answered it somewhere else...is that a Fallout 3 bobble-head on your bottom shelf? On the far left?

  • Yes, yes it is.

  • Nice...great vids, btw

  • Spening too long in a thoughtful state can become grating, Sol. I relax with mindless video games, otherewise it can feel like my neural fibers will burn out like old lightbulb filaments.

  • Nothing is illogical. Never put any theory on the sidelines. We know nothing for certain.

I believe you when you say you aren't on drugs. I've never taken drugs, and I think deeply all the time.

  • Welcome to my world, where nothing is certain and I always talk like Agent Smith. Just like you're doing now.

  • Agent Smith's voice was based on Carl Sagan's voice. It works bizarrely well though.

  • The Alan Watts reference below is true.

    Cannibanoids, not THC so much.

  • That happened to me. I don't remember when, but it was fantastic.

  • woahhh dude, im in this state right now. feels werd, but good at the same time. wooooah. am i floating?

  • I felt like I was going to fly up into the sky constantly in that state.

  • hahaha very funny

  • Wow man... Wish I could experience this state. Very interesting video

  • Happened to me a couple of times... Like twice that I can remember.

  • acid flashback alert!

  • dude, this is the state of mind i am always in, you remind me allot of my self, I'm always being critisized by my friends for bringing up these type of discussions, such as string theory, quantum mechanics, Atheism, and so on.. Take some LSD that is the ultimate direction to enlightenment.

  • Well....That is anticlimactic! SHHHHEEESSH

  • I had that for a week, its goes away. I felt like i was asleep for a week, but i was actually still doing everything fine. I did a week of revision without thinking about it.

  • I get that a lot

  • I remember the first years when these type of things started happening to me. I was actually pretty young, around 12. Now 16, I remember those times. I've never done any wierd substances, and I was just thinking about how what we know and why we know it. Just unreal.

    Good video, Sol.

  • I had a similar experience last night. No joke. I was in the shower and suddenly noticed that reality seemed unreal. Then I was online frantically telling my girl that my 'brain was broken' and I kept on wanting to reset everything in my life to 'zero' and I had all of these 'deep thoughts' that I was scribbling down like a madman in my journal. And I wasn't high, nor have I ever been. It was a rush.

What time did your experience start? Not that it means anything. Just curious.

  • Approximately between 7:00 to 8:00 EST.

  • Mine started around 8:45 CST. The rush has worn off, but not the results. I came to a flood of realizations that night about what I need to do and how and what this life and reality could mean.

It's been a fascinating experience for me, and I'll keep watching your videos to learn about your thoughts and revelations. Peace.

  • I get this too sometimes.

  • Your thoughts on reactions with drugs without taking them are certainly possible. What probably happened was you released some dmt into your brain. Self..activated(?) doses can bring you to that state. And you can do it without smoking or eating the drug. It seems to be happening to a lot more people lately. Anyway...

    Peace

    Rob

  • This has been happening to me a lot lately too.

  • This happens to me fairly often.

  • I think maybe ( if you haven't already) look into metaphysics. I find it impossible to accept myself but you might want to have a go at it if in fact you were being sincere in this video. Later!

  • The surreal feeling you are experiencing may be from an accidentally self-induced trance. Could have been triggered by any number of things; repetitive noise, certain motions, deep relaxation, etc. My ancestors (native Hawaiian shamans) used self-induced trance as a way of connecting with what they called a higher universal consciousness. Perhaps this is what you're experiencing... or maybe I'm just not making any sense. :-p

  • I can see why many cultures would consider the experience as supernatural - it is really just so bizarrely different from the normal state of the brain.

Now I'm stuck wondering what in the hell triggered it though.

  • I agree, it's interesting to be in such a state of mind, especially without any drugs involved. I've never taken drugs, but am pretty sure I have experienced states of mind similar to what certain drugs can offer.

I've found that one way to induce that heightened awareness is to open my eyes reeeeeaally wide and keep them there, trying not to blink; not sure if it presures nerves in my head or what. Colors start to become more vibrant, an odd sensation flows through your body and wala.

  • wow! you got a lot of ass hole comments on this video. Ignore them, if they can't see value in this vlog then they have no fucking idea what interesting content looks like.

and i am officially qualified to say that. I have a diploma in film.

  • From the sensation that you describe, it sound to me like you just had a major epiphany. It's like a stillness and a rush at the same time. and then 5 seconds later you feel like your head just explodes. A whole bunch of thing that never made sense before suddenly fit and your world just feels like it got three times bigger. I have had 3 major epiphany in my life and they where so startling that I even remember the exact date and time. I can't usually sleep for at least 48 hours after.

  • I'm envious

  • it's like you think you make sense but you actually don't make any sense.

Reality studying itself though humans? What? Inorder for "reality" to have that motivation it would have to be conscious and if it were conscious it would not need to create a lesser consciousness.

And reality is just a collection of individual things, it makes no sense to ascribe motivations to it. It's like saying "America wants to invade Iraq."

  • "America" is a collection of individuals, it as no capacity to have its own motivation, it only appears from the outside that the collection has its own motivations when in reality the individuals who make up the collective have very different motivations and are cooperating for their own personal benefit, there are no gods dictating it.

Perhaps the reason you uploaded this video was to demonstrate the origins of religion?

  • I never stated that reality has a consciousness, nor that reality wishes to create conscious beings.

I'm stating that the human brain, the seat of consciousness, is the only thing so far that has the ability to study its own nature. Our minds our a part of reality, yet are the only part of reality able to study itself and the rest of reality. There is no suggestion of magical or overarching intent, only an interesting observation on the nature of our reality.

    Sorry for the confusion.

  • Ohhh okay XD

    That makes sense

  • ...

    lolwut

  • when i am sober i cant stop thinking my brain make too many connections and it wont stop...i think so much that it actually gives me a headache so i smoke weed to stop myself from thinking so much when im high and dont worry about your video making me insane cuz i think i already am hahahahaha...great video

  • I enjoyed the expressions of your mind. People are interesting.

  • I stopped listening around 1:00....sorry. lol

  • You should reallly!!!! Really!!! try lsd and it will never stop. LSD will open that key whole of understanding and possiblities and it will never close again, unless you let it. I don't do many drugs. I just smoke marajuana. I do eat lsd about once a year if I get a chance. Because everything everyone told me was a lie. And I know that now. All it took was understanding. And understanding is free. People may not have the same opinions, but where do opinions come from? Don't get the fake stuff.

  • Isn't it wonderful...?

  • I've been in a similar state before, where you feel like you've reached the sort of mental high, where you feel like there are no walls blocking the thought process, but at the same time, you know which thoughts sound too insane to follow.

I'm pretty certain though, that moments like these are sort of like your body repeating a high.

I once read somewhere that people who've abused vicodin, after quitting, experience every so often a sort of flashback high, and I did at one point abuse vicodin..

  • This is the most pretentious video I've seen ever.

  • Sorry if it seemed that way, I was just trying to be genuine.

  • Awesome

  • It's true that when you have experienced drugs, especially with psychedelics, that it becomes easier to get in an other state of mind.

  • Why the hell are people so distracted by the fact that this guy smokes?

Concentrate on the subjectmatter of the video.

  • Comment removed

  • The world is new, and will never get old.

i feel the same shit as you!

i feel like im not suppost to be here

  • Dude...Are you okay?

  • It may be that what you feel (provided it is not the residual influence of smth you've taken before) is the result of some hormones that are racing through you body (not just testosterone), also the electrical firings in your brain may be undergoing some change... I've felt in a similar way but for very short periods of time. I've always thought it was the change in the weather, or not enough light, or the climacterium (I'm using my son's channel). Well, it's not the latter for you, anyway...

  • The most appropriate response to this may be: Good Morning.

  • I wonder why, what you say, makes sense to me!

It does. Weird but true. And I am not stoned or intoxicated in any way.

  • Ha ha I have to comment again, This is the calmest I've seen you

  • That doesn't sound illogical. Quantum physics - not spiritualist nonsense - pretty much shows us that we are all expressions of the same universal consciousness, the idea we are the vehicles for reality to study itself is actually a really interesting concept. You given me a bit of embogglement for today, cheers, you dirty Canadian.

  • what is "universal consciousness"

  • The idea that every living being shares an awareness. Google is your friend here.

  • So you got so high that you forgot you were high.

    I've done that.

  • Dude, you're stoned!

  • last time I felt that way, I'd recently changed my toothpaste.

  • no substance but you put weed in the tags

  • Well, I did discuss THC. I thought it was fitting.

Also, perhaps other cannabis users may enjoy this, I dunno.

  • fair enough

  • Dude you look phased out...Are you really sure you are not on something, like WEED?
