For the average "neighborhood troll" I sure seemed very pleasant and kind. Thanks for the open-minded invite for discussion. Seems everyone has the response covered. And I am, like yourself, an omnivore. Rawr! ;)
It depends on the branch of vegetarianism you are examining. The lacto-ovo vegetarians are statistically the healthiest people on the planet with the least associated diseases (afaik). Omnivores have considerably higher risks of heart disease, high blood/cholesterol etc, while the vegans (ie. pure vegetarianism) have higher-than-normal risks of b12 deficiency and anaemia and just general nutrient deficiency. Although the vegan diet is for the most part complete, there are debates regarding b12.
Apparently B12 is important for your brain...the sources that I have found as a vegetarian is nutritional yeast...its a yellow flaky substance that has a cheesy taste..u can add it to about anything..it's good. Another is some soy, almond, and multigrain milks are supplimented with B12..in case u were planning to stop consuming dairy. Hope this helps..JJ
Actually as a vegetarian there is no vitamin or mineral you can´t get satisfactionary amounts of from you´re diet.
Vegans are however recommended to supplement with B12.I however don´t know how important that is since I know many vegans, and even raw vegans, who don´t and are still perfectly healthy, many are even professional athletes.
Scientists now believe there are vegan b12-sources, but the general consensus is that that b12 isn´t biologyically available.
That's because alot of people who go veg don´t know enough about nutrition to do it in a healthy way.
By the way acne and greasy hair have nothing to do with being vegetarian/vegan.The paleness however comes from them being defficiant in something, again not directly from being veg but from not having enough knowledge about nutrition to know how to get everything they need.

Thank you for the information. Sorry I didn't respond immediately. Anyway, I appreciate it and I'll personally investigate it when I can.

Funny however vitamin supplement filled vegan that I have ever come across looks about healthy as someone who has the plague....
Skin pocked with acne, and white as bleach, greasy nasty hair, and can't even go in the sun for more that 5 minutes without contracting psoriasis.
Sounds like a healthy diet to me -_-
