AFAIK, all you need is to get the internet to your game system for XLink.

I used to get my ass kicked on Halo 2 and didn't want to pay for XBL to do so, lol.

I'd say XLink is basically a program that fakes a LAN-style network of consoles so your psp thinks you're just hangin out with a bud in your living room but in reality he's in Cardiff!
