Could you name a few off the most plasid rats I used to have a bairds and they was cool but I'm looking for some thing different for my kids as a starter snake

I was wondering if you could shed some light on this; I saw a morph of a snake at a pet expo that had pure white skin and I mean white like a brand new pair of white socks (odd comparison, I know) with black patterns on its back in a diamond shape almost...The thing that got me about this snake was that it was literally pencil thin and only about 4 inches long...Do you have any idea what this snake is? I know it had to be a baby

i bought a corn snake and i had it for about 3 months and then i lost it:( i bought it wen it was a few weeks i think but it wasnt very long(not what she said) and after that i read a book which said they were great escape artists... if only i knew...:(
Hey I have a Question. your ball pythons seem to get to about five or six feet. Mine is five maybe six years old and pry 4 and a half feet long. he(possibly she) is a normal and not as fat as yours. lol i work at a radioshack in florida the retirement home of the united states try explaining to a 85 yr old person how to use now-a-day technology its just impossible so at my job i don't deal with the bites but i deal with flying electronics when they get pissed but hey thats how i ended up with my cell phone =) but any who i have been debating on getting a rat snake but i am not sure on which one to get lol to many to choose from .

You guys are so casual about getting bit by snakes. Im not sure I could maintain my composure like that. I love hiking and love finding snakes on the path to photograph them and I always get really close but I am foolish in that I always assume that I can movie fast enough if they decide to strike. However, im not sure I would be able to handle them on a daily basis knowing that I would for 100% sure be bitten sooner or later.
hey brian, i am not saying you dont know your snakes because you certainly do but from my experience black ratsnakes are certainly not docile! i have worked with quite a few and im not saying they are aggressive but they certainly are moody and i would never reccomend one as a pet seeing as they are very unpredictable and one of the few snakes that has ever bitten me and the ones i work with get handled almost every day and are still this way.
Kel and Brian I have a question for you! you may have herd of the Burmese python problem were having here in south Florida? but the state has regulated "hunting" of them. What do you feel about this? I personaly hate it. I wish I could just catch them live and keep them in racks or donate them to zoos. As a reptile lover I Hate to see any reptile killed it just gets me more knowing this is going on an hour away from my house!
what sucks about my job is the all the loude noise. I build air plains so theres always rivet shooting, grinding of metal, and drilling going on we hav to wear plugs and safty glasses. That also anoy me I dont like having obstructions in my direct line of sight.
I work in a restaurant & there always going to be that one customer that you'll never forget about... I guess some people were meant to mess up your day with full of complains... but i got use to it.
Working as an EMT you smell some pretty nasty stuff. Most of the older people crap them self's when you move them to the stretcher, and i have to smell it all the way to the hospital.
I ride horses for a living. The part of my job that sucks but I've gotten used to it has to be getting the horses that try to buck you off. One was successful today but because I'm the trainer I just have to get back on and keep going.
It's funny that's this weeks question! I've been working on the floor, helping customers at Zellers Inc for a year now trying to making money for university. Outta nowhere my boss tells me I'm getting switched to working the cash register! I couldn't stand it at all but I'm kinda getting used to it now... I guess I'm just a student whose thankfull to have a job :)!
I've worked in call centers for over five years now. Now, I work in the places that have nothing to do with telemarketing because I hate that crap too. But even still, you'd be blown away by how many times I get cursed out in an 8 hour time period because someone forgets they ordered or asked for info about something that I call them for. Sometimes it SUCKS, but mostly it's just hilarious.

I work on PC's, registers, printers, software & wireless devices for a major retailer dealing with pissed off people every day of my life for 11 hours a day! I don't get a break either & the people are so pissed they'd rather kill you than talk to you. I'm inside all day without any frickin windows & the nearest door is literally a football field away. I take call after call fixing PC related crap! Ah, I'd rather clean porta-johns for a living!

I currently have 2 white sided black rats and yeah... unfortunately for my wallet I plan on buying and breeding a butt ton of rat snakes.... even though in most cases they're not the most expensive snakes... they're so many of them... anyway.... i work at a tattoo studio as a body piercer...i love my job i have been doing this for 10 years...but the one thing i get tired of is the 1st words that come out of my clients mouth as they are about to get pierced..."IS THIS GOING TO HURT"...you have to relized that when you pierced close to over 20-30 people a day for 10 years...and 80 percent to those people say that you just want to pull your hair out...i just respond by telling them "well see after the piercing"...

I work in a grooming salon, and I get bitten by dogs prettymuch every day. We're all careful but really bad bites still happen from time to time. Couple of days ago some lady found out I work in a salon and asked, "aren't you afraid of getting bit someday?" I couldn't help it, I cracked up laughing and showed her some of my scars.
I keep Ball Pythons, have only been tagged by a BP once, and it didn't hurt nearly as bad as most dog bites I've had.
@SnakeBytesTV Oh absolutely! I love my job, even when I come home bleeding, because no matter how hard it gets or how painful the injuries, it is so worth it when someone hands me a little puppy in for it's first groom, or to see some kind person delighted with how beautiful we made their beloved dog look. :) I bet they'd be shocked to learn their dogs bite more than any of my pythons! XD!!!!
I have a Female jungle Corn snake and when you said that they are aggesive i noticed thats exactly how she slightly is but thing that i find different is that sometimes before i try to pick her up she wiggles her tail and imatates a rattle snakes rattle. Is that normal for the speces?

Wish I could get a black rat snake. Not allowed in my state 'cause they're endangered here. Some states seem to allow albino or leucistic morphs of certain snakes, but not the wild-type colorations. Guess I'll have to look into that. :3 Rat snakes are teh awesome!
Guys, I need some help. I keep a male and a female corn in the same enclosure, and I found eggs yesterday. I got them in a container with some damp moss and in the parents cage, with a temp at about 80-82. I was not planning on breeding them. Any help would be awesome
@mitchbuff You should be fine with that set up, you might want to switch to damp vermiculite or perlite, but other then that you should be good to go. Let me know if I can help in anyway! Brian(Sbtv)

What sucks about my job? I'm the only male bartender at my bar and when all 5 of the girls bartending stand around talking and not making drinks the manager gets on me about customers waiting to long for service at the bar. But I'm the service bartender at a service bar. I make drinks for the waite staff not people at the bar. The only good thing is hot girls to look at and great money, not necessarily in that order.

I have a Green Anaconda that I have had for over a year and she has been the tamest snake I have ever owned, until recently, now all she wants to do is bite me every chance she gets. @SnakeBytesTV hey brian what about a show about when to upgrade your food items for balls , corns, boas , etc ... like what size or weight your snake should have so you can safely introduce them to a larger prey item and what the ideal prey item is when they are adults
I am almost ashamed to say this but I have been keeping snakes for years now mostly ball pythons but for the past year or so I have fallen for boas I have 21 boas at the moment and I have never ever been bit by a snake so watching Chewy get bit always makes me jumpy lol, I know its going to happen and I'm not scared of it but I still hope that my luck doesn't run out soon. I like big snakes but I like them gentle any recommendations?

the thing that sucks about my job is that I am a garbage man and in the hot summer, those bins can be very smelly, full of maggots and flies and worst of all they weigh alot where everyone puts their garden waste in aswell lol

I work in a video rental store and some of my customers can be so stupid, for some reason they seem to forget which side of the door to push when they come in. I have people come to my store every other day but still push on the hinge side - even though there's a huge metal plate that say 'PUSH' on the other side of the door!
the thing that sucks about my job the most has to be the heat and breathing in all he dust from the hay. i spend atleast 6 hours a day up in the mow of my bosses barn stackin hay. it's seasonal, but he's got so many acres of hay. by time we finish the first cutting, the second cutting is ready! and when it's pushin 120F, that's not much fun.
Have you tried breeding the tamest Texas Rats together. It worked with Green anacondas. After breeding the tamest babies for several generations, they tamed down.

Kel question: I work in a hotel that was built in 1891. I keep being asked CONSTANTLY if the place is haunted. Sure...it is...but I just don't want to talk about it anymore!
I cook for a living, and that by its self does not seem to really be a big deal. But we cook with 12000 degree broilers and i burn my self real bad every day. Once when we got brand new ones i put my hand in side of it to flip a steak and when i pulled me hand out, it blew all the blood vessels in my hand and i had to go home because i couldn't get it to stop bleeding. Get used to that ...
I work as a paper boy (Yeah I am only 14) and every time I go past this old dudes house, he always just stares at me with a blank expression. I once waved at him as a laugh and he just stuck his fingers up at me and walked back in his house. He scares me slightly. :(

Jeeze. One of the things that irritates me the most at work is when people come up to the window to get gas, go back to their car, and then come back to the window to tell me that the pump is broken or that I didn't set their money on the pump. 9 times out of 10 it's because they didn't select their grade of fuel. How hard is it to push a button? I mean, obviously the pump doesn't know which grade you want. I've worked there for 2 years and it's always the same. Read the screen people.. READ!!!

I personaly hate it. I wish I could just catch them live and keep them in racks or donate them to zoos. As a reptile lover I Hate to see any reptile killed it just gets me more knowing this is going on an hour away from my house!

what sucks about my job is the all the loude noise. I build air plains so theres always rivet shooting, grinding of metal, and drilling going on we hav to wear plugs and safty glasses. That also anoy me I dont like having obstructions in my direct line of sight.

I've worked in call centers for over five years now. Now, I work in the places that have nothing to do with telemarketing because I hate that crap too. But even still, you'd be blown away by how many times I get cursed out in an 8 hour time period because someone forgets they ordered or asked for info about something that I call them for. Sometimes it SUCKS, but mostly it's just hilarious.

Finally I can answer Kel's question of the week. I work on PC's, registers, printers, software & wireless devices for a major retailer dealing with pissed off people every day of my life for 11 hours a day! I don't get a break either & the people are so pissed they'd rather kill you than talk to you. I'm inside all day without any frickin windows & the nearest door is literally a football field away. I take call after call fixing PC related crap! Ah, I'd rather clean porta-johns for a living!

Thank God!!! Finally a vid on black rats!!! They're my favorite rat snakes of all!!! I currently have 2 white sided black rats and yeah... unfortunately for my wallet I plan on buying and breeding a butt ton of rat snakes.... even though in most cases they're not the most expensive snakes... they're so many of them... anyway.... i work at a tattoo studio as a body piercer...i love my job i have been doing this for 10 years...but the one thing i get tired of is the 1st words that come out of my clients mouth as they are about to get pierced..."IS THIS GOING TO HURT"...you have to relized that when you pierced close to over 20-30 people a day for 10 years...and 80 percent to those people say that you just want to pull your hair out...i just respond by telling them "well see after the piercing"...

I work in a grooming salon, and I get bitten by dogs prettymuch every day. We're all careful but really bad bites still happen from time to time. Couple of days ago some lady found out I work in a salon and asked, "aren't you afraid of getting bit someday?" I couldn't help it, I cracked up laughing and showed her some of my scars.
I keep Ball Pythons, have only been tagged by a BP once, and it didn't hurt nearly as bad as most dog bites I've had.

I love my job, even when I come home bleeding, because no matter how hard it gets or how painful the injuries, it is so worth it when someone hands me a little puppy in for it's first groom, or to see some kind person delighted with how beautiful we made their beloved dog look. :) I bet they'd be shocked to learn their dogs bite more than any of my pythons! XD!!!!

I have a Female jungle Corn snake and when you said that they are aggesive i noticed thats exactly how she slightly is but thing that i find different is that sometimes before i try to pick her up she wiggles her tail and imatates a rattle snakes rattle. Is that normal for the speces?

Wish I could get a black rat snake. Not allowed in my state 'cause they're endangered here. Some states seem to allow albino or leucistic morphs of certain snakes, but not the wild-type colorations. Guess I'll have to look into that. :3 Rat snakes are teh awesome!

Guys, I need some help. I keep a male and a female corn in the same enclosure, and I found eggs yesterday. I got them in a container with some damp moss and in the parents cage, with a temp at about 80-82. I was not planning on breeding them. Any help would be awesome

What sucks about my job? I'm the only male bartender at my bar and when all 5 of the girls bartending stand around talking and not making drinks the manager gets on me about customers waiting to long for service at the bar. But I'm the service bartender at a service bar. I make drinks for the waite staff not people at the bar. The only good thing is hot girls to look at and great money, not necessarily in that order.

Hey Brian, I know your busy and all, I also know you and the guys have a lot of experience and I was wondering. I have a Green Anaconda that I have had for over a year and she has been the tamest snake I have ever owned, until recently, now all she wants to do is bite me every chance she gets. I am almost ashamed to say this but I have been keeping snakes for years now mostly ball pythons but for the past year or so I have fallen for boas I have 21 boas at the moment and I have never ever been bit by a snake so watching Chewy get bit always makes me jumpy lol, I know its going to happen and I'm not scared of it but I still hope that my luck doesn't run out soon. I like big snakes but I like them gentle any recommendations?

Anyways. I dig your channel! I'm a former venomous keeper (can't anymore, insurance won't allow it), but I still do talks in and around the Baton Rouge area. I think if people at large could see snakes in the same light that I do, they'd love them instead of fearing them.

I work in a video rental store and some of my customers can be so stupid, for some reason they seem to forget which side of the door to push when they come in. I have people come to my store every other day but still push on the hinge side - even though there's a huge metal plate that say 'PUSH' on the other side of the door!

the thing that sucks about my job the most has to be the heat and breathing in all he dust from the hay. i spend atleast 6 hours a day up in the mow of my bosses barn stackin hay. it's seasonal, but he's got so many acres of hay. by time we finish the first cutting, the second cutting is ready! and when it's pushin 120F, that's not much fun.

Have you tried breeding the tamest Texas Rats together. It worked with Green anacondas. After breeding the tamest babies for several generations, they tamed down.

I cook for a living, and that by its self does not seem to really be a big deal. But we cook with 12000 degree broilers and i burn my self real bad every day. Once when we got brand new ones i put my hand in side of it to flip a steak and when i pulled me hand out, it blew all the blood vessels in my hand and i had to go home because i couldn't get it to stop bleeding. Jeeze. One of the things that irritates me the most at work is when people come up to the window to get gas, go back to their car, and then come back to the window to tell me that the pump is broken or that I didn't set their money on the pump. 9 times out of 10 it's because they didn't select their grade of fuel. How hard is it to push a button? I mean, obviously the pump doesn't know which grade you want. I've worked there for 2 years and it's always the same. Read the screen people.. READ!!!
