Thanks for the gorgeous pictures of Paul. Loved him since I was seven and saw him on Ed Sulivan the first time. When I was little and he'd sing "close your eyes and I'll kiss you," I'd aways close my eyes. Still waiting for that kiss.  He is beautiful and I hope he is very happy with his new wife.

There cannot be enough ways to say "genius" when talking about Paul McCartney. This simple, haunting song exemplifies several sides of his talent - a simple and memorable melody, clear and simple harmonies, smooth keys changes and a lovely little musical bridge (with the two twanging guitars). Also it is the perfect length -3 1/2 mins. Superb.

This pure little song contrasts with his other masterpieces, for example, "Back seat of my car" ("We believe that we that we CAN't be wrong!"

@JMTBW that is so deep. Paul was pretty much the reason for teaching myself guitar and ever since I was a little girl (about 5 or 6 years old I think), Paul had always been my hero. The whole album is quite hit and miss. there are some really bad ones, and some hits. Let Em In can be embarrasing but it's fun. So is Silly Love Songs.

Beware My Love is excellent, and Warm & beautiful is the greatest ballad of the album.

But songs like Cook Of The House and other ruin it.

I've been a huge Beatles fan for some 45 years, and although John Lennon was my personal favorite, I don't think ANYONE - ever - had the talent to write a beautiful and simple love song as Sir Paul. Nearly every lp contained at least one gorgeous, tender love song. On this song, just listen to the strings on the last verse. Such an incredible talent!
