I was extremely curious about the RUNAWAYS, coz it had a good concept, but seems like in this review, it ain't that good.

It's strange, I could never actually really get into Runaways. I'm not sure why, that world never completely captured my imagination. The artwork is brilliant though, and it can be entertaining.

Just not one of my favorites.

The Umbrella Academy is becoming one of the best I've read, it can be so light hearted and just all around enjoyable. The kids looking similar thing is at the back of mind and I never really acknowledge it so it doesn't matter.

But yeah, thats all I got...

I read the first two issues and yeah...wasnt feeling it. It just is not a great story. Its pretty boring,the characters pretty much whine a lot, and the shove the whole "feel bad for the character" vibe wasnt cool at all. And dont assume it only makes you an Ass!

I dont think you can judge it by its first two issues, they were trying to explain the plot, not to mention, it was a funeral. And, it was showing how their lives have changed after the team broke up...

Some people forget that Gerard Way went to art school, specifically for comic books. If anything, MCR was his side project until he could get a chance to make a comic or cartoon.

Umbrella Academy reminds me of the innocence and simplicity of comics in the past, where the action is focused upon and logic is let go. Just good fun!

The Exterminators may seem adult and weird, but that's fine. Sounds like the stuff I eat for breakfast. :D But bugs tend to creep me out. EEEK!

Runaways looks fun, but that's apparent the moment you see it's a teen comic. Teens have all the fun! Give a few years and they'll be as boring as all the other geezers. :P

I don't really like My Chemical Romance, but the review has me intrigued for Umbrella Academy...maybe I will check it out.

Runaways used to be one of my favorite books, but when Whedon picked up the writing I thought it went down hill fast. I don't think he has a firm grip on these characters. The book just isn't the same without Vaughan.
