Tokyo !!! the best place in the world if you have 25 years and some money in the pocket. Also you need some months to get a japanese girl friend. Beatifuls and very very nice girls. I like Tokyo and the japanese girls !!!!
I'm quite grateful that these videos of Japan were posted, lol, you always know that it's 'big' but when you see videos like these you really get a reality check on just how large it really is. It still inspires me to go but to be more realistic in what I expect. Great videos by the way :)
What's the name of the song in the first scenes? It sounds so "Japanese" and it seems that it comes from the train lol
I wanna study japanese and live in Tokyo, it's my biggest dream since i was 8 years old. Keep believing! Thx with this video i have have a bit of hope, those streets are amazing!! Very nice job!
Yeah, that's the 1981 hit song "Sukiyaki" by Taste of Honey. With that she rewrote the 1963 hit song of the same title by Kyu Sakamoto. Which is also a good song, but totally different IMHO. This version is really an original. Taste of Honey rocks. Then there was also a 1995 cover of it by 4 P.M. which I considered using for this video, but it sucks. So I didn't.
Great video. I really want to go to Tokyo. Great city. BTW, I know that Tokyo is the most expensive capital in the world, how many days did you stay and how much money did you spend? (if it is ok with you)
You know, I want to know the prices of everything; food, hotels, taxi, etc.
Tokyo is not much more expensive, then most other major world cities. I spent over four months in Tokyo. Including the two roundtrip air fairs, my total cost was about US $8,000, or $9,000. Click on View All Comments for this video. There was a short thread here about 3 months ago talking about the cast of visiting Tokyo.
"Do you have the address of the hotel you stayed at in this video?"
No unfortunately its been too long. I'm not even sure the hotel still exists.
You can find a similar hotels though, the same way I found this one. Just Google for "japan business hotels". The first five or so results will be websites, that let you search for room and rates in what ever location you want. Thats the way I did it. Hope it helps.
this is so cool! I plan on living there for a few years after college, and I'm learning the language. Thank you for posting this video, it was really interesting!
"If you can work..." what do you mean with work? work in tokyo? I thought you just go there to spend your trip :)...but how do you want to work there as a tourist? O.o (sorry for my bad english xD)
This is sick.. I so wan't to go there, but I'm only 14 atm. My parents will never bring me there. :'( I have to wait till I'm 25+. Ofcourse, because I need to go to job to get some money to live there till I find job.
Its not really that big a deal. I spent over four months in Tokyo. I never did work there.
Including two roundtrip air fairs, my total cost was probably about US $8000, or $9000.
You could probably do it a lot cheaper then that.If you can work and save money while you are still living with your parents. It shouldn't take that long. Just go for it.
Just work and save a bit of money. I'm 22. Since i was 18, i've bought 3 trips to japan and 2 trips to europe. Stay in youth hostels if you have no cash.
Yeah I thought it was a pretty good deal. Thats why I stayed at that Hotel for all most all of my six months in Japan. The other room they had me stay in part of the time, was a bit more on the claustrophobic side though. Still not bad though.
Tokyo looks awsome i wanna move their once i finish College but i'll have to take classes in Japaneese Speaking here in the UK but oh well i like learning new things, Cool video enjoyed watching it

Wow. 9000$ for over four months...! Did you rent a car? Or take a taxi for the places you went?

That seems like a much better room than what you would get in the US for the same price.

For $45, it looks way more comfortable than those small boxes that people sleep in. What's it called again? the one that looks like a morgue.

I'd say if you don't speak at least a little bit of Japanese, or have someone there who can help you. It would be difficult for you.

I lived in Tokyo 3 times.
When I was a student, I usually used Shinjuku station.
"東京の到着" is wrong. "東京に到着" is right.
SloppyJoeMontana 4 years ago 2
Thanks man. I corrected the title. My Japanese sucks:(
Yea after I had learned how to find my way around that area. I really enjoyed walking around Shinjuku at night.
