o come on, I just installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview,

and the only thing you will see is an animation of a fish,

no windows logo at all...

also...

the windows start menu will be replaced with a start screen

and it will be tablet/mobile device orientated.

This is most likely not going to happen, because during boot the GPU is not functioning and every driver is not yet started. The animation then should be very simple, like it is now.

when the shiny orb is rotating around the windows logo, there is a blue shadow the other side of the windows logo which is irritating me. however not irritating me as much as the music is haha. other than that, its a pretty cool design :)

It's good, but I'd prefer there was some form of progress bar. Windows Vista and 7 had a nasty habit of removing progress bars, and percentage counters and replacing them with spinning icons that give no real information.

@GeekinsteinTutorials That's just the developers preview so naturally it's going to run faster. It isn't bogged down by all of microsoft's bloatware and system resource hogs. A fresh version of Windows 7 use's 1gb of RAM? Really? Even tweaked you're lucky to get it down to 750mb.
