  • @mjhalas20 Stealing*

  • Thank you for sharing I am going to cook it for dinner this week.

  • I am cracking up! I have recipes taped inside my cabinet doors too!

  • The cat and the food were the best parts

  • Can't stand listening to the cat!!!!!!

  • @han0115 Then let the cat outside! ; ) LOL Why did you feel compelled to write that as a comment? Silly, just silly.

  • @atticus9799 Just letting you know. You are a good cook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like cats , for one thing, I am allergic to them. Lots of people do though so disregard my comment. Keep cooking though. Bob xo

  • @han0115 Thank you and sorry. Sometimes I let things get to me and today I am a bit on edge. No worries. Keep watching. Somedays I don't like my cats either. : )

  • could i make this with left over xmas turkey ? i always have loads left

  • Hi Noreen! I tryed your recipe an it was wonderful! The only change I made was to replace the mayonnaise with 2 eggs, because I never used mayo in baked dishes before. And because here I can not find cream of chicken soup I had to make it from scratch, just used a recipe from the internet. We never eat before Chicken divan but my husband and I like this recipe really much and it's a keeper. Thank you Noreen for opploading this video! Love you!

  • Look sooo good!! Thank u for sharing the secret. ;)

  • When will human decency make a comeback? Don't these mean people care if people are mean to them? Orrr ... are they sick in the head and just think they want to be mean because the internet is fairly anonymous? Well, with technology being the way it is, lack of anonymity will arrive. Even without that, though, why can't people focus on being good to others instead of being hurtful?

  • I made this today and everyone loved it! Thanks!

  • Looks good i'm making that for dinner tonight :)

  • Can't wait to try this! Thanks for sharing! :]

  • Was gonna watch your video...but after explaining how you stole the recipe and made it your own, i just cant stand people like that. My 2 cents.

  • @s2000julius That's too bad for you. I am assuming you have absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever. My friend knows about this. She doesn't care. I am pretty good at figuring out what is in a recipe without having a recipe. What do you care where the recipe came from? You can't stand people like me? Thats sad too! Cause I'm awesome. I can't stand people who judge others based on superficial crap. Just my 2 cents.

  • @atticus9799 If a good cook like you, can take a recipe, make alterations to make it taste even better, you can claim it to be your signature dish. It is NOT called stealing! Even professional and famous chefs like Bobby Flay learn to prepare a dish from an expert and then makes the dish in their own version. Recipes have been handed down for generations. If someone doesn't want to watch your video, for that reason - their loss!! But thanks for sharing your recipes with us!!

  • @atticus9799 I have my reasons. I just dont have a tolerance for theft of any kind...and while your friend might be aware of it, I on the other hand see it as theft. Here's why, had this been a product or service that you were now making millions of dollars from, you being a good friend might be so kind to break your friend off a few dollars. However, not everyone would be so thoughtful and not every "friend" in said situation might think you're generous offer is generous enough.

  • @s2000julius My we ride a high horse don't we? In your attempt to NOT watch my video, you have returned to make this comment. Thanks for increasing my view count. Take your sanctimonious self and go watch something else please.

  • @DillingerEight Just so you know I only returned because a recent viewer replied to my comment and no, I still did not watch your video, nor did I increase your video count. I'm not gonna be hateful to you, for all I know you may be a wonderful person when not stealing. In case you haven’t figured it out, I’m being a bit reserved and giving you the benefit of the doubt, but don’t push you’re your luck, I have been polite, but have no problem putting you on blast. So quit while you're ahead.

  • @s2000julius If she made some variations then it is not her friend's recipe anymore . and besides does her friend's recipe was patented? I think you just overreacted and look at her she just make it as a joke . Can you not take a joke?

  • Your recipe looks delicious .thank you very much !! . Just one suggestion , Next time, I think it would be better if you cook not heard by your neighbors . you work with lots of sounds . Just a suggestion =;-))

  • i bought everythig for this recipe, but i got a 26 oz can of soup hw much should i use?

  • @TheColon86 The 10oz cans are little over a cup. So use a cup and a couple tablespoons and you should be good to go. Now if you were to double the recipe, I would just go ahead and use the whole large can of soup. But you can save the rest of the soup for another use, or just add some milk or half and half and have a nice lunch. Thanks. Hope you like it. Noreen

  • The people that are talking bad about it apparently don't know how to cook it (they did click on a recipe video for it). This is the only way I have seen it made (by more than one person). If you wanna take out the sour cream, the cheese, and the mayo, do it, but isn't going to be as tasty. :)

Thanks for the recipe! btw Noreen, try it with bread crumbs on top:)

  • So hungry....wish i could just grab it out of the video 0.0~!!

  • This looks absolutely delicious! Thanks for uploading. :)

  • you have some spices besides salt and pepper hmmmm...?

  • Techicalerror. A message to you. Get a life. Don't you realize people

are laughing at you. Learn to be happy in life, and why don't you try

following the instructions. You might like it. Ron

  • Looks great!

  • I think this is funny and a great vid... Are u still friends with the recipe woman?? Now everyone has the recipe..I think your doggie wants to have a taste test for us all.. hahaha he's cute.. looks good I;m trying this one looks fairly easy.. thanx

  • I like your kitchen it's very cute and homey. :D I want to try this. Everytime I make it-- to me, it just doesn't come out right. I didn't realize it was okay to cook sour cream. That's good to know. Great video! :)

  • ok you really need your own cooking show..there's just something about the way you explain things, maybe it's your voice, but with other cooking vids i've watched on here, i either close 'em up before it's even finished or they just are'nt interesting like yours. Thanks for sharing this recipe..and i'll be sure not to tell :)

  • Noreen, Who cares if you eat it once a week or once a year. It's your life and you should be able to eat the way you want. Hoskins can eat couscous if she/he wants but some of of think it taste like crap and being thin or thinner does not make a person a better person. If you like this then cook it and eat it! You only live once.

  • @atticus9799 I dont see what the problem if people have an issue they can just use low fat soup, mayo, sour cream cheese's thats what its for

  • @cowboyboom I totally agree with you! It will make a runnier consistency, but it will still taste great. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen :)

  • Looks great will def try this!

  • Hi Noreen. I really enjoyed your video! I forgot all about how much I loved Chicken Divan til I watched you preparing it here for us. Thanks so much for the cooking lesson. I LOVE HELLMAN'S MAYONNAISE. I stir it with Honey BBQ sauce and use it to make sandwhiches with. It's also great in any chocolate cake base recipe. Thanks again! :-)

  • Noreen: "I can't really remember what happened next". OH, LOL! Hahahaha. Thanks my friend, this was a hard day, but you managed to make me laugh so hard. Sometimes I pull this recipe up just to lift my spirits. PS Im making this times 2 for tomorrow. My daughter is moving. Thanks Noreen, this recipe is so, so good.

  • Hi Noreen, Your casserole was such a hit and very delicious. My gang are all nutty for egg noodles so I knew I needed to make it a bit thinner and saucier...so I diluted mine with 3/4 cup white wine. I also used raw chicken tenders and cooked the dish for about 20 minutes longer. It worked out great. (just in case you ever need to use raw chicken). Thanks for sharing with us!

  • looks great cain't wait to try it :P

  • Too runny when is was served is there a way for it to stay together?

  • nice intro :)

  • Far out,I'm going to make that with some John Denver tunes playing, talk about Rocky Mountain High.

  • I once had a coworker to bring this dish in at a holiday party....it was delish! Never knew how simple it was to make!

  • i wonder whats for dinner!

  • hi honey i did this for a pot luck and also for thanksgiving last year it was a hit thanks for sharing please continue to upload videos

  • This looks great for one of my potlucks. You mentioned you had done a lot of musical theater. Since I was a voice major in college I would love to see you in something. Do you have anything you could post for us? I'm sure all your fans would enjoy it.

  • man that looks fricken awesome! my 5 yr old is looking and saying " oh my gosh, mommy, I want some"!!! lol...i will try and let you know how it turns out! thanks

  • hi, I am Linda, and I also am in the "recipe business". Your looks and personality are very close to mine at your age -- I am enjoying it all; keep them coming!

Would like to see you make more soups and hot dishes!

  • Lordy! You look like me at that age, and you cook like me too!

I do enjoy you fun with cooking and the good, simple meals!

    Linda

  • Imade this last night, with the canned chicken, and everything else. It was sooooo good, I ate half of it before my roomate came home. Absolutly fabulous even with the cannend chicken! Thanks for sharing this lovely dish. I will add this to my menue from now on.

  • left something for the homeless on the can please

  • @Atsume1020

    but we luv mayo dude

  • I just want to tell you that I really enjoy your videos so much, and your just adorable. Keep up the great work. :)

  • fab-u-lous!!!!!!

    suzie

  • I Like this..and yes I'm going to try it here soon..thanxs for posting it...cheers from Barbara in Pennyslvaina

  • looks delicious

  • @Atsume1020 I'm not a big mayo fan so I just used a little less than the recipe called for and added more sour cream which I adore.I used lowfat sour cream.

  • From a new subscriber in Buckeye, Arizona -- thanks for making and posting this video! You're awesome and I'm going to try yours (and Celeste's) recipe this weekend. You and your furry babies are delightful.

  • OMG Why didn't I discover you before??? this looks YUMMMMMMYYYY!!!!!! omg I am so trying this... thank u!!!!!!!!!!! =)

  • I've been wanting to make this!! But I'd need to cut it in half because that can feed an army lol Hopefully I can do it this week! I had a question about the lemon, do you add it in the mayo/soup mixture? Sorry if this has been asked already. Thanks! Oh and you should really have your own show!!!! I love your family home-cooked recipes.

  • You should fix the cat a plate too he or she sounded hungry:) great recipe.

  • i am going to make this tonight for dinner. it my first time makeing a chicken casserole, i hope it comes out good!!

  • Made this its amazing, and you are very witty and warm. thank you :)

  • @Atsume1020 It is one cup of may in a casserole that easily feeds 10 to 12 people. You are not consuming 1 cup yourself. I do not understand the comment. If you don't care for mayo than don't make the recipe.

  • looks delicious yummy i like it.. i will try them soon.thank you

  • Yummy.....I will try this....I will also add cauliflower to mine.....your dogs are so sweet sitting by your feet hoping to get some and looking up on the counter to see what is happening.....the little dog unfortunetly cannot reach that far.....lol

  • Noreen, I subcribed to your channel. Your so cute! Dishes are wonderful too! I decided to go ahead and make your famous brownies with cream cheese on top tonight (you know the one you posted last christmas?) SOO YUMMMY everyone look it up ! Yum Yum! Best brownies I've EVER had! Ok so in my house Chicken Divan tonight, cornbread and for dessert..Noreen's cream cheese brownies!! Talk about a great friday night! Ohhh yea! Thanks Noreen : ) Your the best!

  • Hi Noreen,Your dish is about 2 go in my oven in about 15 minutes.I wanted to put it together soon&wait to put it in the oven, but I thought the broccoli might thaw&get watey so I mixed everything&I'm getting ready 2 put it all together&then cook it.Do you agree the broccoli might have thawed (prepared ahead of time)& then put in the oven?Really I thought it might get watery that way.It was hard, but I waited.I can't wait to eat this!! I was tired after work so I bought a ready made cornbread = )

  • Hi, Hi! Enjoyed the video. Looks great. Nice recipe. Yum.

  • Oh goodness that looks SOOOO GOOD! I can't wait to try that !!! Such goodness!! I love your dishes! I made your brownies with cream cheese on top last christmas and it was WONDERFUL!!! Christmas is almost here so it's time to make those brownies again = )))) I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for this dish !!!

  • I'm making this again next Monday as friends will come over for lunch or dinner. This would be good with rice.

  • Everyone enjoyed this dish and it was very easy to prepare. It's a good thing I also got the french bread to offset all that flavor (was very rich). Next time I make this I will try adding a little more sour cream and it should be perfect! Thanks for not keeping this recipe a secret!!

  • @pavenegas I am so glad that you had success with this dish! I know what you mean about the richness and flavor. This is a sometimes only dish, for sure. But with a loaf of bread and a big salad, you don't need anything else. I often wondered if adding some rice to the bottom would be nice. I am actually tinkering with that right now. Thanks for watching and commenting. Noreen

  • She hasn't posted in awhile.I wanted to tell the recipe was so good!!!!! I did add extra cheese and sour cream tho.

  • greeting from singapore! OMG! Noreen, your chicken divan is devine....! my kids love it. thanks so much for sharing. promise, i wont tell ;) on a side note, can i ask if its ok to substitute sour cream to low fat yogurt and is it ok to mix the cheese with mozarella? thx noreen!!

  • @asuzie1 Thanks for the comment, so glad you enjoyed this. Of course, you can make this by substituting the sour cream for plain yogurt. If you do that, though, I would drain the yogurt first so that it does not make the dish too watery. And go ahead and use the mozarella. Make the dish yours! I won't tell. Noreen

  • Hey, down South, folks wouldn't know what the heck you were feeding them if you didn't call it "die-van"!!! YUM!!!! I cannot wait to try this!!!!

  • Love the recipe and the cook.... very cute video! I'm thinking I might have to make some Chicken Divan tonight. And pretend it's actually autumn here in Richmond VA, even though the high today is 96!!

  • Chicken "Die-Van?"

  • @Dipsydoodled Well, I am not really sure what you mean, but if you are referring to the pronunciation of the dish, down here in the south that is how it is said. If you are attempting to insult the recipe, thats fine, to each his own.

  • I made this a few weeks ago and it was so good!!!I did put more cheese and sour cream in it,esp.the sour cream.

  • You are too cute! Im gonna have to make this for my husband!

  • The casserole was DELICIOUS!!! I added more sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese as didn't want it on the dry side.I tend to have that happen to me with casseroles.Hubby said its ok but had two servings as he liked the chunks of chicken I had baked earlier in the day. There is still enough for another meal.I wlll make it again when my younger daughter is home as she would love it.

  • I am going to finally make this very soon.Since its only two of us,I will half the recipe.

  • I have yet to try this but I will soon!!!! A cup of mayo is too much and I think I would just add more of the sour cream and less of the mayo.

  • @HattieLovesCattie Do the recipe to your liking, but remember, the mayo has the eggs in it that make the dish souffle. Without enough mayo you will not get the consistency that I have gotten, but if you prefer more sour cream and less mayo, go for it. There are as many recipes for this dish as there are cooks who make it. I hope you love it when you cook it for your family.

  • @atticus9799 I was gonna half the mayo and add more of the sour cream which I like better.

  • oh the pudden goes meow

  • i did it today, good way of adding veggies to my diet....i forgot to add the cream of chicken so i had to add it by itself at the end, hopefully it tastes as good :)

  • LOL funny story!

  • this is sooooo bad for you...... oh my god but it looks good, being on alli there is no way i could get away with something like this.

  • looks o good, even the dog wants some, thanks for that recipe look delicious

  • thanxz alot..........i just cook one an its great........im cook another

  • i add rice on the bottom :)

    damn my asianness lol

  • I want that. Now.

  • I see she has a lot of spices. Its not a good idea to keep them above the oven, they need to be in a dry darker place.

  • @HattieLovesCattie Thanks for the concern, BUT, the only spices that are on my stove, are some spice grinders and salt, pepper and cinnamon sugar blends, I keep all my other spices in small jars on the wall, as well as my collection of over 100 spices in my pantry closets. I appreciate the input, but don't worry, I've got it all covered!

  • Wow,100!!!I probably have like 50,on the pantry door.I did see the spices on the wall.:)I may make this recipe soon.If hubby doesn't care for it,too bad.:)My Mom rarely made casseroles and Dad was such a picky eater.

  • this is my favorite dish ever since i was a kid

  • Okay, I made this today!! It tastes WONDERFUL, but my sauce came out runnier than yours (water from the frozen broccoli???). Since I don't like mayo, next time I will decrease it by half and see if that makes the sauce a little thicker. LOVE this recipe. THANK YOU, NOREEN!

  • Hey Noreen, Is that smoked or sweet paprika?

  • This recipe rocks! Well done video too. Looking forward to more of your recipes....

  • Hey Noreen, this is a great recipe but your friendly nature makes it a treat to watch.

  • Tasty comfort food but very high in fat.

  • Single portion?

  • @stevedekorte eat what you want! Save the rest for later. This makes a 9x13 baking pan full about 3 dinner meals worth for my family of 4 with additional leftover for lunches. This was for demonstration purposes.

  • what happens if she sees this video and you get a phone call?

  • Then I may self destruct! Just kidding. This is more of an inside joke than anything else. I was just having a little fun with it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Nicely done !

    Thank you.

  • good recipe you little shedevil...lol....did i hear you right? musical theatre? will we ever see "what's for dinner?" with you singing and dancing the instructions? hmm..."A STREETCAR NAMED NOREEN cassarole", noreen"s "CATS" chicken stew. you gotta do at least one.....hehehehhe...your on the spot now...

  • WELL......maybe I'll just do a vid of me singing. Singing and cooking could be a dangerous combo! Performing on stage has always been a big part of my life. Haven't done anything though in the last few years, but hoping to get involved in the future. Thanks for the comment!

  • Put stovetop stuffing on top of the cream of chicken and mayo mixture and the drizzle melted butter in top of that and enjoy!

  • This is a great recipe. I make it as often as I can. I put stovetop stuffing over the cream and chicken / mayo and drizzle melted butter on top of that. It makes this recipe pop. Try it, you'll want to make it every night!

  • i like this one. i will be taking this to work to share with the weekend crew. thanks, noreen.

  • THANKS,,,LOOKS DELISH !!!!!!

  • Going to try this 1 very soon! Thanks, looks delicious!

  • Another 'liberated' recipe !!

It looks great and I will give it a whirl later this week. Thanks good-lookin' . I've been using 1/2 cream of chicken and 1/2 cream of mushroom in some recipes and it seems to work out great. I'm going to try it that way.

Oh ! And you have a cute pooch!

  • AHH, you have a rotten streak in you that is to funny!!! The universe can be good to us in our time of need!!! I have a feeling this will be a regular in our house. Your doggy is adorable. I have two that help me in the kitchen all the time. Ya gotta love it. Thanks for taking the time to share. And thanks to the camera person.

Do you like it best with the chicken or the mushroom soup?

  • Thanks Cindy and yes, I do have a bit of a rotten side, but it mostly comes out as sarcasm. But to answer your question, I prefer the cream of chicken soup. The cream of mushroom is not a flavorful, but I have used either depending on what is on the shelf and have had success. If you use the mushroom soup, add some chicken boullion granules if you have them, if not, no worries. Thanks for watching and commenting! Noreen

  • Looks fabulous! Im going to try to make it with a cup of the full fat Greek yogurt (its very creamy and thick) instead of the sour cream, and see if low fat mayo is any good plus the 2% cheese.... of course it won't be quite as good as the real stuff... but... my doctor won't be wagging his judgmental finger at me!!!. It looks delicious. THANKS.

  • Thanks! Hope you enjoy it, your way! Like Miss Paula always says.....I'm your cook, I'm not your doctor. Thanks for watching! Noreen
