While there are some minor differences between a 'home grown' vagina and a surgically constructed one, it's still similar enough that no one would guess. Also, a lot of trans women don't actually get breast augmentation surgery, they grow them just like any other women, they are exactly like ones grown by cis women.

It is scientifc fact that as hominids evolved the differences between the two sexes became more and more obscure. Aside from chromosomes, what largely makes up the obviouse differences between the two sexes in humans are the combination of hormones that come into affect once a person hits puberty.

Not all people born with a penis have an XY chromosomal makeup and not everyone who lacks a penis has an XX chromosomal makeup. Hence even if you know your genitalia (and I'm assuming you do), unless you've had your genome sequenced, you have no way of knowing your sex if you define it based on genetics.

@YamiSeigy I think that some men are just straight and so they don't want to have sex with anyone other than someone who was born into a female body. A constructed vagina and breasts aren't exactly the same. I'm not saying they are worse but some people are just going to be attracted to natural female bodies. I think love is complex, and I don't think labels should matter, but I also think not finding a transwoman attractive because of her past is OK too, as long as she is treated with respect.

@MachineAmbition No, that's bigoted. I've known transwomen who I wasn't able to tell were trans until they told me. Straight men are attracted to women. Transwomen are WOMEN not men. Ergo, the only men who would want to be with transwomen are men who are attracted to them as women, that includes heterosexual men. In fact, there are transwomen who are pre-op and they are still women. People who have hang ups over that are discriminating against them. It's that simple

While there are some minor differences between a 'home grown' vagina and a surgically constructed one, it's still similar enough that no one would guess. Also, a lot of trans women don't actually get breast augmentation surgery, they grow them just like any other women, they are exactly like ones grown by cis women.

Yes I have, have you heard about freedom to educate yourself and access to educational material to expand your mind? I understand what youre saying but youre not taking into consideration that the outter body is only PART of ones "identity". There is something INSIDE of all of us, hardwired in our BRAIN that tells us whether we are male or female. So while it is good for a potential partner to know, the trans person is not lying at all really.

I'll answer the question :) If any medical expert looked at a human skeleton,there woud be little to identify the sex. It is scientifc fact that as hominids evolved the differences between the two sexes became more and more obscure. Aside from chromosomes, what largely makes up the obviouse differences between the two sexes in humans are the combination of hormones that come into affect once a person hits puberty.

@shanana000 Have you ever had your chromosomes checked? Are you sure that your 'really' the gender you think you are? Intersex conditions are more common than you would think, even physical sexual appearance isn't necessarily related to one's chromosomal makeup.

@shanana000 Hello again! It seems that you've missed the point I was trying to make entirely. My point was that genitalia does not always match up with chromosomes in a one to one manner. Not all people born with a penis have an XY chromosomal makeup and not everyone who lacks a penis has an XX chromosomal makeup. Hence even if you know your genitalia (and I'm assuming you do), unless you've had your genome sequenced, you have no way of knowing your sex if you define it based on genetics.

Your statement completely ignores the (admittedly small) list of men who *have* given birth. Hence, it would seem that you are now defining female as having to do with the ability to bear young. Care to elaborate here? As a trans* person, I'd like to think that I'm helping us out. Decades of evidence have shown that the only, ONLY, effective treatment for gender dysphoria is to transition. Forcing trans folks to suppress and deny our gender identities will only help to promote anxiety, depression and self-hatred, so explain how it is that *I* am the one killing them.
