As a past resident of Belwood (I grew up happily there. Went to school in Fergus. It's my home), I'm very disappointed in my old home and the community members. We live in an age where we're trying to go out of dirty energy and make a positive change. Here Belwood and Fergus have an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and be part of the solution but instead the argument is "They look ugly" or "Not on MY land". Well, it's sad to see. I guess you can't ever go home. :(

Congrats on your efforts. Hope you prevail. From the fight in Puerto Rico, next door to UN designated Biosphere Reserve where developer intends to plant 40 turbines!

I had to read the description about this video, PERFECT, great upload and to hell with those wind turbines manufactured by GE. and the boys. Humans were gifted with a higher more efficient technology called nuclear power, it powers submarines and peoples houses its really the way to go.

It isn't about not wanting to change. I believe in alternative energy, but Wind Turbines don't fit into the definition of "green energy" since it uses fossil fuel to turn the turbines when the wind isn't strong enough, and they wreck the natural surroundings....I'd say it doesn't qualify.

It would be a good idea to research for yourself what happens when these wind turbines go into a town-I can tell you are young, but I'm sure you're also smart! It's your generations that can to the most!

I just have to praise all of you at WCO for your organization, education and mobilization efforts. You have truth on your side - it is an inconvenient truth in that it takes patience to understand and so is difficult to build supporters behind, but you are doing it, and doing it better than most. Congratulations from your friend in Ohio.

@ManversGWTW Those are the faces of the people who fight to protect our land rights-:) And although I'm new to the area, I'm hoping some of them become my friends as well!

U r gonna lose this fight u know right? If the HST couldn't be stopped u think any 1 cares that ur standing out there with signs saying you don't want it? Bigger protests for more important reasons have occurred and failed... what are you or any one else who are concerned over this issue going to do that would actually make an impact? Standing/Shouting doesn't get you anywhere. Want some advice? Pool some cash together amongst you and talk with that, money talks louder then you.

@TheGateTraveller There's a reason these monstrocities are not at a set back of 550 meters in Toronto-over there, it's 5 Ks. There's a reason they target small rural communities-because this is not where the money is. I agree that pooling finances to hire an attorney is what we need....will you be first in line? If you weren't at the protest, then what have you personally done to educate yourself and get involved? It's very easy to stand on the sidelines and judge. But at least we did something!

@shebirths I wont pool $ since this does not affect me, if I found out that via taxes I was contributing I would be angry, but this does not bother me. (right now) In terms of "educating" myself, I admit at first I only watched vids here, but both do nothing to really convince me of anything, x cept it seems more like an anti McGunity campaign which is fine, they happen every other day. At least your doing something? It won't be enough, I respect ur "actions" but your methods need more "action"

@shebirths Also dont say I sit on the sidelines judging, I guess attending protests is one thing but I'm glad I watched these vids since I feel I would've wasted my time by going. If I want to see Anti McGuinty slogans I'll go online 4 that. At least you did something? You presented your issues but did any 1 actually listen, the one's ur trying to convince? Do sumthing serious, sumthing real, otherwise u'll find urself still fighting these things but now they'll be up, and wont be coming down

Question: how do I lose personally? Since your MAIN slogan is "Everyone Loses" how do I personally lose? I live in the area and am not affected. This seems more like an anti McGuinty campaign which is fine I don't like him either. It may be more expensive then "green" but less expensive and as reliable as the normal source.
