The end user for the modules isn't always a drupal fanboy who reads the forums and reads the entire documentation of a module. Do they expect everyone to read the module documentation or is it more reasonable to expect them to install it and start using it. Obviously the 2nd option is more realistic. Yet there is much in drupal that has no explanation.
