OMG This looks like SO much fun. And I was just doing something like this in my very 1st Junk journal..which is not even me at all. I don't do art, untill recently. But there is so much to do and so many videos to watch and so much junk to collect. LOL.
I first started watching your videos around last year, and honestly you inspired me to try and paint, and I found out that it was a so called "hidden talent" of mine and now is my favorite past ti. I love your works, and the passion you have for what you do. I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me.
Super idea, but remove any big brand names. I have been trying to write a book and you would not believe the copyright, trademark issues I've run into! I almost thought I would not be able to finish the thing! I've had to be very creative about the images I use.
OH I dig this! Love the torn paper idea, all the colors and tones, the colors you have going on with the cat(s). So, So glad you're back. Looks like your trip loaded you up with creativity . Love it that you paralleled painting with friendship and trust-- what a great way to explain it. I agree!
i love to collage a painting with various things. i did the paper money but I had some from the toy store yours are way cooler I have to pick up some the next time I go downtown. oh yeah I miss you but I know your glad to be home.
The fake money are for religious purposes in Chinese Folk Religion. In Aug. every year for a month it's "Ghost Month" when the gates of Hell are opened and ghosts roam free on our plane. The money is burned so that the ghosts can spend it in the afterlife. Not only money is burned,,,,elaborate paper houses and even cars are burned. What ever is burned manifest as material objects on the ghostly plane.
man i love al your "paint and crap and sh#t!!!" lol its my favourite kind....the paper money is cool as would love some of that for my collage work....awesome as ever :)
I love to use old books that the library gives away. I found a 90 yr old Russian school book.I tore strips to make old tree branches with caged ravens.I also printed images on some of the pages and framed to give as teachers gift.It so cool to think 90 yrs ago a teacher used it .I have 6yr old triplets and a 4yr old ....they are growing up with brushes in hand.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.I always get the best ideas from you.
Cool technique.. I have these local maps that I have collected during my travels around the world - you know the kind available free in hotel lobbies. I think I might use them for this technique. Btw, I can guess how much fun you'all had at A&S, but I'm GLad you are back!! :)
@daligoddess2006 LOL nope not trad Gaz Colours! I thought you would like this technique..good way to recycle ;) If Rauschenburg can do it so can we lol
did you make your stencils? if not where do you suggest getting them.
