I have a 27in Core Duo and it has the problem also. Going for a replacement tomorrow.

Let Apple know. I am sure they will do the right thing. The update you are waiting for did not fix the problem.

yeah i returned it so i didnt have a chance to do the software update but i did hear that people did the new 10.6.2 update and it didnt fix this problem, so i wouldnt hold onto it if i were you

Hi, the exactly the same thing happened to mine. I hope apple will bring a software update so this problem is solved.

The nearest apple store to me is like 70 miles away. It is a hassle, i tried calling apple but all they are saying is troubleshooting stuff.
That is a shame, I wouldn't be happy
