Alright fair enough despite the limitations of the Chromehounds single player parts they looked good.

I really can't stand all the unnecessary hate towards Mechassault from the Mechwarrior players. I'm sure It is because it didn't stay 100% true to the Mechwarrior series, and it had a simplified control scheme. The kicker must have been that the Mechassault games were successful.

I think the 'kicker' was that MechAssault was for home console, which even when the Xbox was new, was cheaper than buying a pc.

@JTwinTurbo People hated Mech assault,I rememebr playing part2 two when I was younger,I really didnt know much abotu battletech or crap at the time,but it helped me get into it big time.

Ok, how come you got the Maddog's proper name right but not the Timberwolf's? Also why do people only remember the Battlemechs from fucking Mech Assault? And if you're wondering I hate Mech Assault because it is just a cheap knock off. It's predecessor Mech Warrior and at a stretch, Mech Commander, were far better games with much better stories. Plus they stayed true to the lore unlike MA's use of lava cannons, shields, and fucking plasma PPCs. I pray MW5 lives up to it's past.

Okay, let me shine my light on the subject as to why MechAssault is beter remembered. YOU COULD PLAY ON XBL!! That was just the year online console games were booming. It was back then that Twitter is now, it was the lates fad, the first online capable console mech' game. And that's that. I personally like the more realistic features ChromeHounds offers to MechAssault, but that's where the connection is being made, to types of online capable console mech games.

Vulture is the Inner Sphere name of the Mad Dog, which was made by the Clans. Mad Dog is the original name of the battlemech.

yea, that's something that got me... he's using the clan name for the mad dog (Vulture), but the innersphere name for the timber wolf (Madcat)

personal choices, i guess... or perhaps just name limitations

Ok, I've NEVER PLAYED any of the MechWarior games, just MechAssault. So I have NO IDEA what goes with what or witch Mech' came first. I just like the MADCAT and MAD DOG from MechAssault.

instead of the generator on your madcat mech put a spacer flat side facing the legs and use a smaller generator it will run better and it will look better =D

I saw online co-op, looks really fun, being scared half to death standing next to your friend trying to find the enemy, sometimes the slow pace brings out the suspension, on AC4 everyone just flies to the enemy and starts a firefight, both are good though!
