i completely respect what shepard has done for the game, but perry is clueless, i dont think his drug abused brain really comprehends shepard or banksy's work the way he thinks it does. he's on the right track though.

no. Perry helped mold the cultural zietgeist that bansky and spepard reflected off of durring the development of their styles. Plus he's funny and seems to be pretty happy with life, while shepard is still stuck in the "passive agressive" stage.

wow! i also enjoyed every video. i just stumbled onto the videos by accident. when i was in the graf game (retired), an old friend (JEST IBD) put me onto this cat...liked his art ever since. i also liked perry's interview style. the episodes were definitely a 10 out of 10!!!

Have you guys never heard of Marcel DuChamp? Fairey even mentions him in the piece, talks about reindexing works. "Hey, it's a urinal in a museum, and it's a sculpture." Check out some of the other "great" artists of the century, theft is a world class talent they posses. Specifically, look at DuChamp's work "L.H.O.O.Q." That's thievery in it's finest form, yet at the same time a beautifully crafted statement.

Fairey is the ultimate "po$ter boy" for the underground - at least as far as mainstream Kulture is concerned. Sure, he's done some good work (back in the day), but come on, workin' for the big corporate money is not subversive; And yes, We've all heard the "destroying the system from within excuse" - it's bullsheeeeit. The funny thing is, everyone kisses his ass and follows him blindly...a Shepherd indeed.
