  • i found the mirror at the dollarama store

  • Hey you have power mirrors, use them so you can see. Then G.O.A.L!

  • BEAST!

  • Ok, this is just plain stupid. Looks like there's plenty of room here to get turned around and do it sight side.

  • Sometimes blindside backing is neccesary. He should have gotten out and checked where he was at more often.

  • always backup on ur driver side not ur blind side dummy

  • @Romans909

it is amazing how many truck drivers can write, but can't read. How do they do that?

  • Rookie

  • Where do you get this mirror? @_@

  • The best way to get into a spot like that...Find the yard jockey and give him $20. Let him back the trailer in.

  • Why are you just sitting there? Just because you are backing up blindside does not mean you have to sit during the maneuver. Stand up so you can look out the passenger window and steer until you are into the hole to where you can do a pull up and then you can sit and steer! I did it more than I can count! Like steering a boat!

Yeah I hear you all! I have 32 years OTR! I am Rollover the Original in The Truckers Report dot com! Or AKA as RolloverRiderPGR!

  • sometimes you have to blind side reverse and the driver checked his angle numerous times during the reverse this is a professional driver however the use of a extra mirror does save time & money on waiting and repairs to damaged trucks thus making a safer reverse

  • @dieselanddymond That's a Volvo. motorized mirrors are damn near a standard on them! A little more use of them would help but still with all the room in that dock area he should have just turned around, come back along the front of the trailers and then done a right in front of his dock and then backed up easier and safer. We all know blind side is only done when there is no other option. It's a last ditch effort and makes a better video! LOL

  • I wille keep this in mind when the time will come. These aren't expensive and are time saving.

  • the bubble mirror on the front fender workd very well for blind side.

  • What's with the porno music?

  • Thanks for a good tip.

  • use the other side not the blind one

  • using your side mirrors help and you can keep backing up slowly and you don't have to get up and down every time.

  • Backing is the hardest part of trucking !!!!!!!!

  • He did the right thing first. GOAL Get Out And Look.

  • just come in from the other way, douchebag

  • I guess this is okay for new drivers but being with my dad for a shit load of miles on the road he would laugh at this. I never saw his ass get off the seat to back in (blind side or drivers side). I watch guys now and they are hanging out the door and climbing across the seat to back in and if my dad saw that he would probably right hook them and tell them to find another job that better suites them, Sorry but old school driving is where it is.

  • @19347265 i know old school driving you just keep backing till you hear metal crashing then you pull up and try again but this time a little faster

  • @allanshawn I love it

  • there are a camera they sell in Target . it coasts like $ 100 . its meant for 4 wheelers to put small magnetic camera in rear and it transmits video wirelessly to small GPS type of screen . I thought it could be handy but always forgetting about that . I have no problem with backing but this could be just handy in some tight situations .

  • 40.00 bucks on ebay. Nice idea, but I think I can make one cheaper than $40.00

  • actually i tried this one time before 4 years back i bought 2 mirror's from walmart put them together and i did couple blind spot and helped me a lot u have to try it to believe it

  • Doesn't the small mirror on the right do side the same job?? I mean, why else is that used for! :O

  • @ismannen567 ...are you serious ?!....if you dont know what that mirror does...go ask a driving teacher

by the way next time move the mirror position instad of youre self ^^

  • @Carnatics Rite on---you know what your talking about. Read my post-we are both on the same page.

  • @rubberball lol take it you must be a truck driver ?. As you have it spot on lol.

  • Pretty good invention, but seldom use. Who's that kind of a hole, first to cancel the dark side? In fact I always do in such a cancellation that I go somewhere to turn the truck around and cancel my HAND so I see all of the window. So then I madejo15 years and has seen its best way.Easy best, fastest and safest way. In addition, we have the trailers usually 2-3 feet tail overhang so I have to always remember to take into account also.

  • on a blindside back i just come on back till i hear something go BUMB the pull up and try it again lol

  • After viewing videos from backing posted by others, it is clear to me I made the right choice not pursuing OTR. I will NEVER have the patience for this.

  • @Mysterio2276 Hey man I'm not a over the road trucker, but I drive part time for my uncle. I have been a athlete my whole life and never was around farms, etc... I grew up in a small town. Anyways my point is practice makes perfect you would get to the point where you would back it in and never even think about it. Somedays you just cant get it backed in though. Just like sports some days you cant miss some days you cant make it know matter what you do.

  • Great job man, that's what it's all about; GOOD SAFE DRIVING; two thumbs up, keep em rollin brother.

  • Love the Idea. but from another CDL driver to another how come a 2.40 the view in that mirror went from the right side ( blind) to the left side drivers) ?

  • his ponytail got in the way.

  • I would never try to back up from the blind side.

  • That's a damn smart idea I'm going to get me one of those

  • That is Fuckin SMART!!!!!!!!! Dude In a pinch that would be awesome to have. Thumbs Way Up

  • @locnes76

Join a club of smart asses who can't f.. read the video description

  • @aviad1947

Lol aviad1947. True dat! Last laughs on them.

  • Sometimes you can't awoid blindside backing but in this case by swinging to right before your assigned dock, will at least point trailer in the right direction to your dock. Then you only need small corrections to line up to the dock. Any good truck driver knows that,I think this is just an ad for "lipstick mirror". HA-HA

  • once again always try to avoid blind side backing

  • do you have a link to buy the mirror?

  • Great idea!! sometimes you have no choice but to blindside. gonna get me one!

  • @Teejoker1

My GOD. So many people just just can't read. People READ THE DESCRIPTION before posting.

  • Since watching this video, I use this system to back up blind & it works GREAT. Thanks for the tip partner...;)

  • why not turn around and hit it from the other direction

  • WTF! That dock area has too much room for him to blind side that dock. He is just asking for trouble.

  • nice idea

  • he was trying to show off,he could have turned around so it didnt have to be a blindside backing.

  • I wish I had one of those mirrors when I was driving. It still is always a good idea to get out and look even with the mirror.

  • Clyde Inman.Overnite Transportation for over 30 years.Simply the best truck driver I ever saw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • half these vids make me smile as several have wrote ya just spin round that way only watching one side not rocket science lol

  • WHEN.... I need to put my truck on the ramp from the blindside...... I use the electric motor on my mirrors to see the trailer..... This is just another gag for companies to make money!

  • Well, 100,000 views. Wow. Never thought it is going to be popular.

Anyways..Thanks for looking and PLEASE read the description above.

    Be safe.

  • @immobile2 I've been trucking nearly twenty years and I never thought of putting a mirror on the passenger visor. Damned good idea. Well done... Desperado

  • firt thing he needs to learn is how to get out of his truck

  • ever thought of bringing her round???jezus...

  • Volvos are the easiest trucks to drive, try doing that in a pete. Where I work we have to blindside off a 2 lane street into the parking lot do a 90 the other way and finish up blindside between another trailer and a container.

  • When in Doubt , Get out & Look , another thing is Go with instinct , When in doubt Don't

  • your makin it look sooooo difficult! just spin it round!!!!

  • it would of been easy to back up on the driver side there he weas trying on hes blind side

  • damn that what electric mirrors are for .... lolll move ur mirrors man

  • Nice three point stand coming out the truck

  • hey i spoted trailers in a yard worse than than that get a power mirrors and use the convex this guy wouldnt make if he had to park 30 like that a night and parrlalle park the trailer as well and leave no space between the trailers for the truck

  • what do you think the convexed mirrors are for they are not just to spot cars passing you on your blind side.a propper driver could do it no problem

  • times like this make a driver miss the old cab overs but i think the guy maken the video made this seem a lil more of a big deal than it is not sayin its not a pain in the ass sometimes but their maken a big deal out of it

  • cheater!!!

  • Wow I never knew about this mirror. Thanks for posting this.

  • That is an awesome idea! I usually just use the convex on the hood during the daytime, but not every truck has that, and it's obviously not always daytime. A couple times I've put her in gear and jumped in the passenger to steer so I can get a better look. Works, but certainly not the safest idea.

  • I'd try sight side if possible but that does look like a great idea

  • just handbrake and slide it in :)

  • I've used this method & guess what - it WORKS!!!

  • I used to watch the angle of the trailer from the drivers side window. Then picture the trailer going into the dock. Worked like a champ in Miami all the time.

  • @RUSSSELLLLL ~ Exactly the method I used when I was picking up bulk milk and like you said..."worked like a champ every time."

  • Im so glad i drive a daycab Blindside backing is no problem. just look out the rear window

  • blindside is easy, just watch the trailer angle in the mirrow.. nail it everytime.

  • what a dumb retard can't even back up

  • easy does it, that's all there is to it. Little by little and ya make it. I like that Volvo but I love Peterbuilt

  • I always blindside back !!!

  • For all those idiots stating that there is no need to blind side this truck please do yourselfs a favor and read the damm description. It clearly states that it is only done to demonstrate the use of the mirror.

  • @eaglelifeomar You know some drivers can't read !

  • It sounds like some 80's porn music....I like it.

  • Looks to me like you can Land a Jumbo jet in that parking lot.. Hang the keys up now..

  • where ever do a blindside back?? I try not to do one unless it can't be helped. When in doubt, get out and look, or use a ground guide......

  • Nice ponytail dude. It's not 1982 anymore.

  • @the18wheelman ...lmao...i thought steven segal jumped out of that rig

  • @maidenrulz73 A good way to get hurt

  • there's no reason to blindside back in this situation. rule two in trucking is never back up unless you have to. rule three, never blindside unless you absolutely have to. oh, rule one in trucking, don't start driving a truck.

  • man i wish in the oil patch we had pavement to blind side on try that in 2 feet of mud that you cant turn in, its a blast

  • Yeah, blind side backing is tough, especially in a sleeper. While there are a few situations where you have no choice, they are few and far between.

  • There is no excuse to blind side into that hole.

  • 16 years of OTR driving. I've gotten pretty good at blind side backing. At some docks ... it's the only way due to the layout of the parking lot. Many a time I've just whipped it into a dock in no time. The people in the dock say it usually takes other drives much longer to dock than I do.

    =]

  • Why bother. Go around the block and do it normal.

  • good ol blind side what a bitch

  • that explains those rips you see in all those company trailers

  • If it works that a pretty good idea

  • poke and hope

  • I work for this shity ass company and i blind side at least 4 times a week

  • Blind side backing. Fun

  • alex19324533"well you just whatch youre visible corner and hope for the best XD :P"

thats the dummest thing ive ever heard u dont hope when you back you make sure

  • @simcove1978 it was ironic dummy d´oooh.of course u make sure

  • That was a good idea taping a mirror to passenger side visor.

  • lets see, youre truck wont shrink or grow and if you take a look around before beginning backinup as long if you see one corner you will know were is the other corner of the truck .

  • @alex10324533

try it and see if that works, blind side backing is a lot harder than it looks I have had to do it 2 times in my 1 year of trucking.

  • @hammakes2003 i did it and yes i know it is very hard but once u make it one time you will that as long as you see one corner of the truck you have to know were is the other logical before beginning bakcing up you get offf the truck and see if you have the space you need ..but if you want to make sure just ask sombody to guide you .recently i seen a video about backing it up on YT

  • i just slide the 5th wheel all the way back for a tighter...sometimes 5 point U-turn so i can turn around and back regular, or i get a flagger for blindside, fuck all that stopping and looking BS, if it comes down to that at a yard, ill just drop it and tell a goat to do it lol.

  • are you that stupidd wtf do you have the outside mirrors dumb ass learn how to drive

  • @alex10324533 i don't know if you have ever tried backing up a semi its hard enough as it is but the right side of the truck is called the blind side and when backing up on that side you see nothing so before you criticise try it yourself.

  • @alexandrecouillard2 i driven a truck a semi an yes i backed it up .its just that you have to put the semi ligned up and then back it in and if you dont have enough space well you just whatch youre visible corner and hope for the best XD :P

  • It don't get better than that driver!

  • No matter how you put it, I positively HATE blindside back-up!

... And, of course, being the stoopid newbie that I am, I'm very slow at normal back-up anyways, so I always try to find the "right" angle... Not always easy, though!

  • there is nothing wrong with slow-back up, the main goal is not to hit anything!!

  • All drivers that dont know how to back up say that!

  • And if you know how to drive you should say that too, are you going to tell me that you were born with skills? you may be expert but remember when you just started? Nobody is perfect and you may think you know it all, but I'm sure we will not know when you mess up because you won't tell, just to keep your reputation clean

  • very good...please what name music?

  • isnt it said in the cdl manual to back up on the driver side almost always so your not strugling and worrying where the trailer is going any way

  • its not always possible to back up on the driver side. some of the costumers and even truck stops set the spots up were you can only blind side back. I curse them out the entire time I am backing into 1 of those spots

  • clever! Thumbs up! =)

  • encore une cochonnerie a vendre! Un ou l'autre les chauffeur bruce & smith vont juste dans un sens, de l'avant il ne savent pas reculer meme dans un champs il arracherais la cloture a vache

  • nice hair!

  • This reminds me of driver that needs a haircut!... Then... What OTR carrier doesn't have a passenger side power mirror? And regardless, there is almost always a way to not back blindside. If a customer doesn't like it... TOUGH SHIT! Do they want their freight?

  • @normynoless : There are many places, designed by pencil pushers and penny pinchers, that have no idea what a trucker's needs are when accessing docks. Many docks are designed to access blindside. No one ever said that the architect ever drove a truck...

  • @OntarioTrucker I agree whole-heartedly. I drove for about a dozen years. Half of them LTL in the city... pups to 53''s in town. My point was he made it look harder than it is... And he probably had a power passenger mirror to help backing blindside. Once you've done it a couple times, it's not that bad! Anyway, been there- done that. I almost miss when consignees complain that you can't get a 53' trailer straight into their dock when they have 50' between their fence and dock! LOL

  • @OntarioTrucker Not to mention those old buildings built in the early 1900's that were designed for 20' long trucks. that you somehow have to get an 80' truck shoehorned into.

  • @OntarioTrucker hahaha exactly well put, that is how it is for the docks at work and i'm a yard driver, to access the last two doors you have to blind side them and they just extended the building as well so now it is even more difficult but at least it makes me a better driver =D

  • I GIVE IT A GRADE _A_ 1 MILLION PLUS

  • ingegnoso

  • All you need is an electric mirrror.. then it's easy to back on your blind side.... done it loads o times..

  • well id spin round in the yard and go in on the right side

  • @capsman69 I agree, I hate blindsiding

  • @bigdnelyria yea me too

  • @capsman69

Lol indeed. He does a nice job of bringing it back but yeh xD

  • @capsman69 ......lol! exactly!... hell I did that last nite on a ice/snow cover lot and I didn't need some lil mirror thing...some got it and some work for swift i guess

  • that is standard i Denmark, not on the sunschearm but a real miror ind the cabine

  • i hate blindsiding, all the tractors we have shake so fuckin bad its almost impossible to blindside, you look in that mirror and all you see is a blur, especially the yard hostler trucks

  • I agree..just turn around or get further from the dock to start with. With all the room on the drivers side of the cab I would have started the backing at a better angle.

  • I might have to try that some time.

  • kool got to get me 1 of those

  • that truckers in United States

pēdējo are to manage and Reversi.

Here in Mexico we are the aces

    reversi that till the rebersiamos

double trailer ball not like you

    of truckers failed ...................

    Pure Mexican truckers ......................

  • do you have power mirrors??????

  • I do this just relying on spot mirror, I aint kidding. He has to look over. Still he is good tho.

  • Very cool I drive for pepsi and some of the store docks I have to blind side, but I have a smaller cab no sleeper and it's got a window, but i am definatly getting a strap on mirror.

  • well done on getting it in but with such a big yard why not go turn round ,,, cool mirror though if u haft to blindside it in

  • it's good idea have that kind of mirror. But do u have hard time there? if yes , what r u doing or how u backing in Bronx Market?

  • yo no veo ninguna dificultad, tiene muchos metros de espacio xd.

  • hahahah i can do is less time with my 379 pete n my truck wheelbase is 329

  • yes but can you back up a 10 axle? just as easy.

  • that mullet is hard to take in all at once

  • bet he cant do it with a long nose pete

  • It's hard with shit like that!!!

  • that might have looked easy to some of you and all i say to that s**t is that u obviously have never been to a f**ken railyard or port. while blind side backing isnt a first choice, if you are gonna drive a truck, you better know how to do it. most of the older facilities were designed for cabovers and if you know what im talking about, they are shorter, smaller turning radius, nice work though.

  • wow! thats a cool solution. want one for my truck

  • beautifully done!

  • LoL retard there's 40 fuckin acres, flip it around and sight side it in.Dumbass tryin to show off.Thats how shit gets fucked up.

  • That was my first thought; why the fuck are you blindsiding it with all that space.

    Moron.

  • because hes showing the usefullness of a mirror. so the best way ,if ur going to take risk like that, is to choose a spot with room that ur familiar with.. right?

  • damn good driving

  • Gezz mate you have an electric mirror why not use it?

  • thats neat.. I got an idea thats worked for me for over 7 years now, use the electric controller for the right mirror and push the mirror out as needed. I used to blind side back ( with a sleeper truck) 5 times a day 6 days a week and I had no problems after i started using my mirror

  • Nice one

  • nice trick since you cant always turn around.

  • HA!!! Yeah! Thanks for tha info.

  • Yeah, if you blind side back into a dock it doesn't hurt to check. If you do it the other way on the good side of the trailer of course it's much easier

  • Hey man, really good idea you got there! Is this something that you bought or is it your creation? And don't listen to the idiot comments,if your criticizing this YOU don't know what the fuck your talking about.

  • Thought this looked over done...should have guessed it would be an ad for some stupid gadget. best bet is doing it the correct way.
