  • I want to sell bolt cutters in this city.

  • I used a cutting torch on one of those.

  • bad idea if they boot it the car will still be in that spot

  • Bolt cutters, sue me you thieves, my taxes pay for that street.

  • So channel 3 has nothing to do then tell us to pay more money for parking tonight?

Well now i know what tv station to never ever watch. Besides i take the train so HA

  • Don't damage the boot or you will get more fines and penalties. Instead you can get the boot off in three minutes by using your tire jack: Simply wedge the jack sideways between the boot arms and crank until there is just enough room to slip your tire out. If there is no room for the jack then place it under the boot plate that covers the lug nuts, you will probably need a crowbar to help guide it off.

After the boot is off and undamaged, set it safely aside, and leave a thank you note!

  • lol sales on angle grinders and bolt cutters will go up

  • Why is this bitch saying "They failed to collect over $105,000 dollars." The whole point is to increase that amount. No one wants to pay money to the City. Their STEALING MONEY AS IT IS!

  • Cutting off a boot makes about as much sense as grinding off handcuffs... or kicking a police officer in the nuts... Any sensible person would rather avoid a felony charge....

  • Id take that thing off and cut it into little peices and drop it off at their place

  • that's a felony in some states...

  • who gives a fuck they dont own my car

  • Only time I had to put up with parking meters is when I was a contractor working in a down town location. What really annoyed me was the time limits on parking. After two hours and $6 I would have to move my truck, even if I kept the meter fed I could get a ticket. If I tried to feed the meter over the two hours it would eat the change. And if the sensor on the meter hadn't detected a car vacating the space it would eat quarters.

Abandoned cars? They go for $200+ at scrap yards.

  • Its laws like this one that remind us that this country is becoming more and more like communism! For what reason (other than knowing you wont make it back or might forget) wouldnt they let you load that meter up for the whole day? The people in power are a bunch of money hungry pigs but karma will get them in the end.

  • Sawzall and a tungsten blade for great justice.

  • pretty easy to take it off. Cut the luck, get a drill and drill it out. Will take max 5 min to get it off.

  • and how long to get out of the felony charge in court ?

  • @fonetap1 What felony charge? You woke up one morning and you find your car without the boot. You have no idea what happened to it. As long as you leave no fingerprint on the boot they can't charge you with anything.

  • why should they pay up? it's a public street that city government has chosen as a cash cow to make money off of the citizens and they buy it like the slaves they are.

  • @0920197234 So many people in this country are so willing to bend over and pull their ass cheeks wide open for the government.

  • Why boot when you can tow away and make them come to you and pay there and then to have the car back haha!

  • I liked this story. It had everything, conflict, solution, drama... Even though I hope they don't boot my car (although I don't have any tickets, so it's unlikely I gather) I liked the story. But when I tried to rate it... no change? What gives?

  • Use a grappling hook and sling it towards a city bus. This usually gets the boot off in the city where I live. Great story. More people need to speak up about the boot and give it a boot.

  • deflate your tire to about half and you can sometimes slide the boot off the car. or get to the lug nuts and swap the tire for your spare. another way is to hit the 2 pins at the joints (about half in steel pins, they are the weakest points on the boot.) with a hammer and cold chisel. you can simple dismantle the boot from there. BOOTS ARE MORE INTIMIDATING THAN THEY SEEM!!! dont be afraid of them. or just park where you are supposed to =D. good luck.

  • put that piece of shit on my car, i'll get it off

  • how?

  • depends on how it is designed. if i can i'll use my hand tools, but if need be i'll get my buzz saw out and cut it off.

  • walk!

  • HA HA... SERVES THEM RIGHT!!!
