Those school board members should be removed from their positions and face criminal charges along with the bullies. Two male high school seniors were convicted of statutory rape meaning that she willingly slept with them. It is no wonder the other girls were calling her a "slut". Suicide is bad, but people should stop being blindly compassionate and try to look at what really happened.

This is what happens when you ignore something for too long. Eventually people rise up and make you take notice. Those school board members should be removed from their positions and face criminal charges along with the bullies. By continually ignoring the pleas to deal with the bullying issue, they actually contributed to Phoebe's death. They could have done something, but they CHOSE to do nothing and I believe firmly that the enemy of good is not evil. It's indifference.

I know what it;s like to be bullied all too well. It wasnt until I got to Middle School, and High School that the bullying started.
Pretty much all through high school I didnt have any friends. I ate lunch by myself to avoid the public. Didnt go to any school events. Also court cases are dictated by stari decisis, rule by precedence, this case will influence how future cases are carried out in Massachusetts and possibly nationally. Anyone who has attended American high school will agree that Phoebe's harassment was legitimate. Two male high school seniors were convicted of statutory rape meaning that she willingly slept with them. It is no wonder the other girls were calling her a "slut". And if you remember, the mother even had warned the school for previous bullying suggesting her to have a aggressive personality .
