Knowing men -- you can bet pussy was involved. My guess is -- one brother thought he would get more power pussy and prestige for fighting for the North.
The other thought he would get more power pussy and prestige fighting for the South.
The point is - both were after power, pussy and prestige, like all men. Everything else is an excuse.
The lyrics your missing is '' One was gentle one was kind'' ''One was gentle one was kind'' ''One came home one was left behind'' its in the American Adventure in Walt Disney World in Epcot
I'm the author of the historical fiction "Two Brothers: One North, One South" . . . I remember that song from many, many years ago. It certainly fits the story of the Prentiss brothers of Baltimore . . . they fought on opposite sides and ended up on the same battlefield one week before the end of the war.
there is a song that i have been trying to find, same subject as the vid. i heard it fairly recently in an old recording made in about the 1940's (not on Yt) but i've lost track of it. "two brothers on their way two brothers on their way one wore blue and one wore grey one wore blue and one wore grey as they travelled on their way ..........????? a cannon ball don't pay no mind if you're gentle or you're kind it don't think of the folks left behind all on a beautiful morning

@jagfkb I remember seeing that back in 1994. It made some of the adults cry.
