Finally got it! here's the thing if you keep getting caught by the stairs stick to the right of the truck keep going right past weaver and go prone as close to that bush as possible. If done right you should be able to see the bottom of the stairs without alerting that jackass

I completed it, and no you do not have to restart mission once u fail. I failed the first few times and started at the checkpoint on the stairs and still got my trophy. Just kill the dudes in the right order and you should be able to do it.

1. Pacing dude

2. Welding dudes

3. Dudes by the truck on the right

4. Shoveling dudes

5. Dude on catwalk (I zoomed in because for some reason he wasn't dying in one shot)

6. Dude walkin alone on the right

7. Dude in building next to weapon

The first time I tried this I failed! Everyone were dead, exept the guard in the stairs, and when I killed him he got to fire 1 shot. 1 fricking shot! I did not get my achievement, and I got a checkpoint right after I killed him. So I had to go through the entire mission again from the point where you lead the squad from the plane. Whyyy?!! Black Ops should really have a "Restart from last checkpoint" thing! It's so annoying to have to start the whole mission all over. Thumbs up if you agree!

You have to run to the top of the stairs pretty quick to get him.

And i agree about the Restart from the last checkpoint. I don't know why they left that out of the game.

I just did the exact same as you but started from the stairs after i killed myself for being seen, did it again perfect and no trophy. So ether way you would have had to start ALL OVER AGAIN :( like i have to but will finish Veteran off 1st as am not letting that glitch on me for mission selecting.
