I'm trying to view my video shoots from my camcorder to my laptop while on the road and is asking me to plug in my power adapter in order to view my shoots. Do you know how can get to view my video with out the power adapter. I don't want to be taking out my SD card all the time. Thank you.

Amazing. Very sharp, crisp, clear! Absolutely lovely.

I just wonder though, all the test videos I've seen that hf200 owners have uploaded here have retty much beenshort scene shots, although with zooming and so forth. But I wonder how the camera behaves when panning, I mean moving sideways, and also how the stabilizer works. I saw a sequence somewhere where the picture got a bit"chopped up", jumpy, staggering and not as smooth If you know what I mean. Thanks for your view on this.

how do you keep the quality when uploading to the computer... i havew the same camera but when i upload i have to render it and loose tons of quiality

@KawiRacer68 it all depends on what software you use, i know final cut express will drop the quality tremendously but apple has released final cut express HD and its great! i would highly recommend buying that, and also imovie will keep your quality but the editing software kinda sucks.

That's what I'm saying! I watch these videos on here and my HF20, which is basically the same thing DOES NOT look this good!! I have tried using all the different fps, messed with the exposure, the shutter, the aperture, but nothing looks this good. why? Imovie tells me it is uploading the video at it's original size.

I strongly recommend it! I tested some of the other HD camcorders... and if your thinking about getting the hf20 don't waist your money, it is the newer version but honestly the color is about the only difference. hope that clears up some of your questions!

one more thing how is the battery life.. I heard you could get about 1 and a half to 2 hours recording on the highest quality setting, is there a better battery with longer life that you know of that will work with it?

Yes the battery life is around an hour to an hour and a half, you can purchase an extended life battery at most photography stores for approximately 70 dollars. or the same size battery is also available for about 40 dollars, I would extremely recommend buying at least another regular pack just in case your not around a charger.

After watching this, I'm getting this camcorder. The focusing ability on small objects is amazing!!! Nice vid and thanks for helping me figure out what to buy. One question: Can you record things off of a TV? (like TV shows or video games)

glad to know i could help! and the recording from tv can be decent it just takes some adjustments with the settings, it videos good on LCD screens and very good on plasma... but old tube boxes are total junk

oh im sorry, it comes with HD output cords but as far as tv to camcorder i haven't tried it but i am sure that it is somehow possible
