  • Fast whisking! Next time, could you show the whole preparation. Thanks!

  • This is a correctly prepared usucha, it has a uniform foam, and I love matcha too.

  • looks like a lot of messing about. I think I'll just put a bit in a cup and mix it with a spoon.

  • @orbital92hotmail Yeah you should! If you like lumps in you tea..

  • beat it! :-D

  • Would you happen to remember how much water she used in each tea bowl?

  • @poopdood321JP

An average cup of matcha is whisked with 4 oz of water, then 4 more can be added to reduce strength.

  • I got to say that this is by far the best Green Tea drink...I felt better, had more energy and stamina...I began to focus more clearly in a more relaxed state. I say to everyone, drink Green Tea everyday...it will help you live longer.

  • omg! how can she do that!? i can't whisk that fast :D it's awsome but....why is the tea green? it doesn't seem very nice

  • @chocorunemellure ...because it's made of matcha... aka GREEN tea.

  • I don't understand.. Is it the foam which is the most important?

  • Wow, that person can whisk very fast! I can't whisk near that fast - there's a video on my channel about how I make Matcha.

  • I haven't yet tried matcha tea. Is it similar to gyokuro or is it completely special tastewise?

  • kakashisan3, I'm moroccan and with all due respect to green tea with mint, I would say that Matcha is much more better. Other teas like Gyokoro, Tamaryokucha, Sencha, Kukicha, Genmaicha ... are also great.

  • @dobracajovna I agree. Moroccan green tea's downfall is sugar!! I'm half Moroccan.

  • It's still the same dark green, that's the froth that forms and covers the surface.

  • Whisking the tea incorporates air into the liquid, becoming foamy and lighter in color.

  • hi, i had a question about the bamboo tea whisk. i have watched videos and all of the tea whisks seem to have some type of middle portion that spirals into a cone shape. when i first got my whisk it was like that but after a single use it basically unravelled so that them middle portion of the whisk is no longer bunched together. is this normal?

  • yeah, it pretty much happens to every whisk. The bamboo gets soaked and the bamboo tries to regain it's original shape. I think it looks better when it is used anyway. I reccomend you get one of those ceramic Chasen reshapers. After you've used the whisk, and the tips are still wet and soaked, use the reshaper so that the tips dry on the reshaper surface. this will help to at least maintain the shape of the outer ring. I use it myself and it works well. (They cost like 6 dollars)

  • ill try that. the wierd thing is that this happened after only the first use. the outer ring was still in its original shape but the inner ring basically was no longer bunched together. but thanks for replying!

  • it wouldn't work very well if it didn't unravel anyway
