  • It's still there. My parents have a house along the road from it. Complete waste of money and now an eyesore in a beautiful place. The current owner has no money left to do anything with it. Best thing for it is to flatten it and let nature take over.

  • are u sure its not cumbernauld town centre lol

  • My late father was the Project Manager for the construction of this establishment in the seventies.

I worked up there as a member of the Jetty Crew in the summer of 1975.

I am glad that they have now built a marina next door

  • Thanks for sharing your vid. I worked there in the 70's putting roofs on buildings when it was being constructed.

  • What a great place to film, post-apocalyptic feel. And they're gonna knock it down, great. The world needs more abandoned interesting places with no real purpose if you ask me. I mean at one point someone must have said, look we're not really using that castle.

  • It's amazing. To think it's been there your whole life, ready to be lived in. There's a reception area with many of the flat keys still on their hooks.

Unless it's been knocked down by now. It was supposed to be done by the end of 2009.

  • Great and I had the perfect thing to film there lol.

  • It might still be there. It's a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Glasgow.

  • I recognise that old tune there.

    :-)

Not see this vid before. Was looking for that Blare witch type one you chaps did.

  • Nice video. Good work C - you're looking well!

  • Cheers Mrs. B.

The grey hairs are starting to sprout at the temples though.
