  • I worked in the CSD and had pictures of the Staff Training Centre. I was a Training Officer after passing out in 1985.

  • I was so happy to see all my sweet memories in the Stanley Prison. I lived there, I Block, fr 1964 to 1987 and I also studied on St Teresa School. U might be my classmates.....^_^ I still remember everyday we carried a BIG school backpack, climb up the long slope (beside the Indian Temple) its a loooooong fr the quarter to the Primary school, esp on sunny days.......

  • i used to live in C blk :)

  • Thanks, stone9kung, for another wonderful and poignant video. I well remember the Stanley Prison Bazaar too.

  • 其實我唔鐘意講/寫英文,不過用英文書寫時比較快同方便,用中文會比較慢些。

  • My email is eximco#hotmail.### (# purposely wrong to avoid spam)

  • CSD = Correctional Services Dept formerly Prisons Dept. I would try and see if photos videos of the staff quarters are available and would post if yes. I would also follow our example to post old picture of HK in videos later. I need to obtain them from family members. Thanks.

  • That would be wonderful, cause I would like to capture more memory of the staff quarters. Thanks again.

  • I am not connection with the Correctional Services in Hong Kong but I grew up in HK during that time. Just look at the young people, so healthy, happy, nice, hopeful and full of energy. Well done.

  • Thank you for your comment. Do you reconize any of these places still?

  • Yes, I used to attend the annual fairs organised by the Prisons Dept or CSD although there are new buildings and the gounds are now longer grassland. Certainly HK itself has changed beyong recognition, but those were the days when people and the atmosphere was full of vitality. These video really does bring back pleasnt memories. Thanks once again.

  • Thank you again, would like to know what is CSD stands for? Did you take any pictures around the fair ground or the staff quarters?

  • very enjoy those old pictures. thanks. espically Stanley, I was living in Stanley staff Quarter (red house) between 1972 - 1984. you are around ten years older than me.

My P5 and P6 was studying in St. Teresa. From the Clips, I can not remember any teachers who has taught me. I heard someone mention about 程生 passed away. Is he the one who lived in the village ? (村仔) ?

  • Very excited to have a reply from someone that's been living in Stanley Staff Quarters and also is St.Teresa School class mate...I graduated in 1966. Mr. Ching had did not teach our class, he taught p.m. class only. Yes, he used to live in Stanley Village...the location of his house had became some bars or restaurant, the other teachers that in the clip were all long gone. take care. Please check your inbox.

  • In the chapter about the field trip, the other gentleman was Father Lau, he was the Vice-Principal of the School, his nick name is"牛魔王", I guess he was so straight and tuff towards the students. The teacher that's in the back row - forth from the left, was grade 4 班主任(Miss Tong), for some reasons, she made me repeat in grade 4. The lady next to Miss Tong is Miss Ho, she was the music teacher, the other two were taught the p.m. class.

  • spelling check..tough not tuff, sorry. the group of kids were the altar boys. I appreciate the church had arranged such a nice field trip for us and otehr activities during that time, such as singing contest among the churches in hong kong and bazaars held every year and Summer camps.

  • at 02:48, the boy second from left is Mr. Ching's son, his name is ching tak ming, first from left is one of the Lo's brothers who lived on the B top floor, 2 floors above me. The first from right is Yi mo wai, who lived in block E.

  • At 01:48, the boy at the back, first from right, his dad's name is 梁金有, he was in charge of the uniform dept. I think your dad had heard of his name. He lived in blcok D on the top floor. the boy next to him (2nd from left), his dad's name is 關九, he was the wood work instructor, he lived in block E on the first floor. the boy who's holding the 石九公, is my brother...did you catch a lot of 石九公?

  • At 02:30, the boy at the front, first from the right, is the brother of Miss. Zeto Ling Gee, his name is Zeto Yu Ge,

  • I suggest you add more tags to this clip in order to allow more people to stumble across your post.

  • Thanks for your suggestion and for viewing.

  • who and where are they now? How did it affect you?

    Curious.

  • Thanks for your curiousity...most of the person that appeared in the photos were my neighbours, friends, class mate, teachers...have lost contact with most of them. The reason I post these photos on youtube is, hopefully when they or their descendants go to youtube and see these photos, I might have a chance to contact them again. Have a good day.
