I think you have the idea that candwich is a sandwich sitting in a can. Actually, its a piece of bread in plastic wrap, and the accessory foods (PB, jelly, "BBQ chicken") are in squeeze packages, sort of like ketchup packs. You must assemble the sandwich and eat it. Good day to you
dude... just did some research on this... it doesn't seem that bad... the peanut butter and jelly come in packets (the same as McDonald's)... the bread is just a hot dog bun... doesn't seem that bad... i would try it at least once.... seems better than most of the crap in vending machines... do some research first next time... I will admit the chicken one sounds awful...
If I could eat refined carbohydrates I definitely would try it...eat it on a regular basis? Probably no but its no more unhealthy then pancake mix or spam/tuna. You cant stop america lol
Don't hate this product! I'm certain the person who thought of this was thinking of it being the last chance to eat a sandwich in the future where nuclear war ravaged the world and we're all stuck in bunkers, craving for sandwiches!!!
The ingrents, idk how to spell that, are in the can. Theres like peanutbutter in a package and jelly in a package. Idk what they do for the ckicken though. But, also the bread is in a can. Because if u were on a camp trip and u wanted sandwitches, it would be 2 hard to carry around a bag of bread, a container of peanutbutter and jelly, when u can just pop open a can and e make it easy peasy lemon squisy.
@thomasca I can't show you the actual product because A) it isn't being released in my country and B) its release has been delayed pending fraud charges on one of the company's executives.
Clearly not that worthless, I got you to watch AND comment.
@comoxgirl It's not a review, it's a video blog about a new product. And I can't show you the actual product because A) it isn't being released in my country and B) its release has been delayed pending fraud charges on one of the company's executives.
Dude, it's just *packaging*. It's no weirder than putting a sandwich in a plastic bag. In fact, it's less likely to go bad, rot, mold or what not in a can than in a plastic bag. I'd say it's a brilliant idea. If you want to gross out over packaging, do so over the plastic bag where all sorts of pathogens can get to it.
I'm not sure if you guys know how they come, but the cans are much bigger than they appear... the bread is packaged separate, and the pb/jelly is in a ketchup like package, all sealed in a can. Not nearly as gross as people think. Very convenient, imo. :)
I would try the BBQ chicken one. Mainly because I will try just about anything once and I could drown it in BBQ sauce, ketchup, or hot sauce if it is nasty.

Id eat a Candwich - id eat the peanut butter and strawberry jam.
It could end up being a complete sucess.
HOWEVER, people could just make these sandwich(s) at home (Or at Subway if your lazy for the chicken one - Chicken Teriakki.)
It may be a sucess, we will wait and see, ill taste them all (If they come to Australia) and ill make a video on my channel to hear my opinion to see if its a hit and what canwich tasted better.
Or haw about a can of pressurized pasteurized Mountain air. Guaranteed free of pollutants, collected on a crisp winter morning in the hart of the Appalachian Mountains… Our deluxe autumn version comes with a hint of wet leaves, a hint of drying hay, as well as with an after tone of musky cow dung. For an extra 10 cents we can also supersize you.
I'd probably try the BBQ chicken one because it's the one that most closely resembles shit. And that's what a desire in a food product. In other words... DONT MAKE ME EAT IT

@fezan84 lol, looks like the guy that funded the candwich project has some lawsuits on his hand. He took real estate investment money and used it for canned sandwiches. The candwich release will be on hold until the lawsuit clears up hahah!
This is either ingenious or really stupid I can't tell lol oh America you've stumped us again.

meh, it's a genius idea.. but like 5-20 years too late to be of use..
i mean, it's a sandwich kit made to work w/ conventional soda vending machines...
but... we already have all kinds of food vending machines out there.. so i don't...
think there'd be much of a point.. except maybe for the owner to save a few bucks...
eh, make mine pb&j i guess, lol...
