I know being gay I hate living up to the stereotype of gays, but in many ways gay boys act gay. even the most str8est acting have there gay side. look for the gay factor. i wouldn't put myself out on the limb, without having some clue as to if he's gay or not. get out into the gay districts near u
I would make him feel that you like him first - you know there're a lot of "guylove" jokes nowadays (just like in scrubs), so if he finds that funny and even gets that you like him more than a friend though you didn't directly tell him, he can get used to the thought.
Dunno, but in the end you have to tell him if it's really serious :)
But what I'd never do - same for boys and girls - acting like you have nooo feelings at all and then suddenly tell all at once and expect the other to say "yes"
@AlbinoCracka Yeah he is sorry for your mental illness hopefully in the future we can decrease this flu by finding a cure for gay men rather then letting them take their own life LOL! Last time i checked trying to commit suicide should need help.
