  • 2:15 listen for wrong note. :)

  • why does it say audio only?

  • @billthewanker Because it's not a video of the band playing the song - it's just the music.

  • I'm not satisfied with 8 people's tastes in music.

  • zajebisty utwór

  • im 15 , i listen to old stuff , u got a problem , mordern high school mates ????!!!!!!

  • The sad number of views hardly testify to the immense greatness of this song. Without this band I doubt my music would be quite the same.

  • I first heard this when I was twelve - ten years after it originally came out - in AIRHEADS.

  • i can dig it

  • Why call it a Paul Westerberg classic when Tommy Stinson, Bob Stinson, and Chris Mars played too.

  • @WarGoatForestWolf666 paul westerberg was the key behind any of these songs that you may have liked

  • @bluewater21456 Yeah, Paul and the rest of the band too. Just sayin.

  • this song hit the sweet spot of the wheelhouse back in the day. Hard to believe its been this long....

  • my dad brought me here. God I'm lucky...

  • such an awesome song, let it be is amazing.

  • adventureland brought me here

  • @TheAbadaniBoy FTW!!!!!

  • this is THE album

  • such a good song

  • This is the greatest song of all time

  • One of the greatest bands ever

  • wow, what a great song for the moment

  • this is the song that launched a thousand transformations

  • Now THIS is what indie should sound like. Not that atmospheric 2000s hipster no brain all brawn indie of today.

  • Airheads

  • Truthfully this is my favourite song ever.

  • God this takes me back, remember when I got this album I would play over and over...I'm now 46 and I still don't tire of it....I don't care what anyone says the 80s had great music unlike the crap on the radio nowadays

  • @Geo69xr Every era has great music and every era has crap.

  • @ana1sninja thats soo true, but I can't help it but I would like to think all great music was made from Mozart's time to 1999. After 2000 it started to go downhill and when 2010 arrived it just completely sucked.

  • @Geo69xr I know you have to dig down deep to find good music. I mean like...really deep most of the time the songs aren't online and no ones ever heard of what you're looking for.

  • @Geo69xr Listen to college radio stations. I almost pissed myself when I heard this on WXCI 91.7 fm

  • @Lilly0Kins I live in Texas and the indie music station is also set on the dial at 91.7. They play this song occasionally and The Replacements often.

  • @yeshua1076 That's a really funny coincidence 91.7 must be a lucky number...

  • @Geo69xr That's a nice story, grandpa.

  • @oddjobify you are young fag

  • @Geo69xr

This wasn't on the radio in the 80s, hair-pop-metal-rock was, which still makes up a good chunk of the radio stations "nowadays". Good music is rarely played on the radio.

  • @weeniebo actually it was if you listened to college radio back then.

  • Early 'Mats up to including a couple of tracks on Let It Be = punk.

Punk encompassed stuff such as Blondie, Talking Heads, the Police, Television, The Cure, U2, Elvis Costello and Pere Ubu, besides just The Ramones, The Buzzcocks & Bad Brains. And nearly all quickly morphed into what became "new wave".

  • I ALWAYS THINK I'M ON DRUG WHEN EVER I LISTEN TO THIS SONG!!

  • there's just no way you could hate this band.

  • too bad stinson took up with that bitch axl .could ve been a cool reunion. the replacements made a landscape for american rock that neither REM or Husker could DU. you think I'm kidding . just listen.

  • This one's for Dave.

  • To this day this song remains a stunning example of punk at its magnificent peak

  • @heliot58 I wouldn't consider the Mats punk. They were just one of the first "alternative" bands. They had punk influences, but they hardly fit the punk mold.

  • @tristhan1181 I disagree "punk" isn't about sound it's about attitude and self destructiveness. I consider the Mats to be more punk than even some of the first bands that come to mind when you hear the word punk.

  • @babsbeau1

I agree. Punk is all about the attitude and not the "sound" whatever the hell that is...

  • @heliot58 you're so right,i just become flooded with emotion every time i listen to this song, isn't music wonderful

  • my fave alltime tune ever!!!!

  • This song satisfies me!

  • God! I so wanna be there, listening to this track.

  • Sort of a perfect wayward song that looks inward instead of outwards like the Rolling Stones Satisfaction. Can you imagine anyone singing it better? Paul's got a heart full of soul.

  • Love the song, and I fucked my big-titted girlfriend last night, which was very...

  • @psychoannalist1 Do you mean big tit or big breasted? just for research purposes only..and please clean up the language.

  • Finding out that some folks still remembered this song made me satisfied....

  • ahhhhhhh The Replacements. I remember one night I was depressed and layed in bed and listened to this song over and over again.

  • I was so satisfied with this song from the first time I heard it!

  • Rollins College and my roommates Sean, Nathan and John and I listened to this album so many times over and over. Replacements came to the VFW and I could not make it. Great friends from those college days and great music....Class of 86 and 88. Great memories this takes me back to...

  • What a great song. How bad is music nowadays when i would prefer a 27 yr old song to the shit that gets played today? Like to hear some of the current douchebags sing a tune like this! It would sound soooo pathetic!

  • @creeg84 there are the same amount of douchebags as there were in the 80s, and the same amount of good bands that, like in the 80s, aren't recognized and remain underground,

  • @shambler92 Maybe, but today the no-talents have a longer career.

  • Best Replacements song.

  • All songs should be audio only, sometimes videos ruin their appeal.

  • the great amerikan angst

  • No party tonight... I'm unsatisfied

  • you ever like been fucking yourself with a dildo but you accident slip and fall on it and it just goes all the way inside, fuckin hurts man

  • @Mattelliott1234 Cool story, bro.

  • I've been listening to this album for the first time, and I think so far this is my favorite tune

  • to the chamber....

  • i have always dug these guys so much ... ever since the days of 120 mins on mtv sunday nights back in the 80´s when that dickhead dave kendall thought he was the cats meow in the eye of all things cool ... NOT ! hehe .... but back to the subject at hand .... LONG LIVE THE ´MENTS !

  • i cannot fathom why ANYONE would dislike this song

  • this song is sick as fuck. I agree with ginnoveffect

  • great song. great scene from Adventureland.

  • @grahamlaur hardly at all, really.

  • @davidmjeong926 Ha, I know, I was being facetious.

  • Comment removed

  • @Southie99 I was only joking. Really, I was. It's not the subject matter that led me to that joke, but the overwrought emotional tone of the song. I am aware that the replacements are not EMO.

  • @grahamlaur fucking idiot

  • @adambombiswaycool ...because I told a joke about the replacements? I love the replacements. I love this song. I don't understand what the problem is. of course when you're dealing with someone with a username like "adambombiswaycool" you have to make allowances for feckless stupidity and witless insults.

  • So surprised to see some Replacements/Paul Westerberg coming out of the wood works and being respected. Song writing genius, some of the 80's went undiscovered, but people like Reed, Westerberg,D. Johansen,Bob Mould. True soulful art/rock and roll!

  • This song is the post-punk "Satisfaction". It expresses all the frustration, desperation, anxiety, and world weariness of being sixteen years old. Still love it 25 years later.

  • @jbsamakis Lol! Cool! Well said!

  • this song always makes me happy

  • What an amazing band. They completely capture the frustration of being young(22 years old).

  • That intro still gives me chills every time I listen to it. So awesome!!!

  • Whats that? a Raging boner.

  • this album cover looks like it was taken straight from new brunswick

  • La good musika, ohh?

    Yes, La perfecta!!!

  • músicas que definem uma vida

  • A perfect motherfrigging song.

  • i could listen to this a thousand times and i still wouldn't be satisfied.

  • Love the angst in this.

  • 6 people are satisfied

  • Replacements > KISS

  • I'm unsatisfied.

  • opening riff is a rip off ...hard luck woman from kiss 76

  • @jenkoEire

same strumming order but different chords, a lot of bands have used that strumming order and continue to do so

  • @jenkoEire

    Similar. But. . . meh.

  • @jenkoEire its not exactly the same. one part is quite similar but the rest is diffrent.

  • ....these guys made the king of the hill theme song?

  • @blakeandcrap That was The Refreshments. A completely different band altogether.

  • @wareagleclay lolk i just saw the credits yeturday and i was like theres no fucking way

  • @blakeandcrap It wasn't The Replacements. It was the Refreshments - Yahoos and Triangles. Took me two minutes to find that out after reading your post. It pays to do a little research before posting.

  • @Zimmerman17 really? what does it pay? :D

  • @amchris66 $5

  • fuck this song is amazinggg!

  • This album and Tim are what made me buy a guitar.

I could listen to this song forever.

  • Great Song Great Album Great Band.

  • thank god for the magazine uncut that turned me on to one of the greatest albums of all time. yes i was satisfied

  • i dig paul's voice big time

  • wow what took you so long to upload this song

  • Great song. If you are not getting that the beginning is great and middle is great and end is perfect then as Arthur Lee sang "then you go back across the street yeah" and watch the movie Adventureland a million times. One doesn't joke about the Replacements. ha.

  • The Artists Lament-One of My Top 3 Anthems of All Time!

  • I loved this song the instant I heard it back in the day. Time has not diminished my passion.

  • The sound of Youth

  • one of those vocal performances that just bleeds sheer, raw emotion

  • I would like to meet Seymour Stein today and say...you weren't wrong signing them. He may not have made a lot of money off the Mats, but what a catch.

  • Look me in the eye and tell me am i satttiiiisssfiiieeedd??

  • Pretty applicable to the current climate. Fits in nicely with how I'm feeling in these times

  • Fuck you Jay Z, Westerberg is forever young

  • @RonaldHyatt i just googled it and whoa you weren't kidding it was in 'Airheads'. lol. but yeah it's a really great song regardless of which cheesy movie it gets placed in. I especially love listening to it when I'm in a sentimental mood and drunken state.

  • bout time somebody put this up.

  • good stuff my brother had the tape

  • good song m8

  • 1984 and it's music. Damn what happened to the music industry? All we get in pissed off music with growls XD.

  • Truly

one of the greatest, saddest song ever written.

  • My favorite Replacements tune.

  • the 80's were soooo good :)

what the fuck is wrong with the music industry today?

  • @szunny91 Yes I agree if Lady Gaga is the best that today's music has to offer, then I'm perfectly happy staying stuck in the past...

  • @shanebrennan0123 Whoever said Lady Gaga is the best music has to offer today? Just because she's played the most doesn't mean everybody likes her or is the "best" musician today. The Replacements were never up to her popularity when they were around, so I guess under your logic that means nobody thought they were the best in music?

  • i listened to this on a walkman. working for the man. not worried. those days of walkmen and working are over. nostalgia. no worries. unless you count the loss of jay oh be. dissatisfaction is a luxury. be a man, put the needle on the record.
