  • Bravo! Encore! I wish some American Organists can play with this much enthusiasm! Very very good job!

  • The organist really got ecstatic about this. I can imagine his wife asking him "Do you feel better now, Henry?" afterwards.

Very impressive - thanks for uploading!

  • Bravo! Encore! Listening to this just before an exam really is encouraging. Has a certain ring to it!

  • Impressive! Quite a set of trumpetey stops on that organ, does anyone know where it is?

    e complimenti per l'organo!!

  • 7 pakis dislikes this video

  • Most unusual to have percussion in a church organ.

  • @kiqw Yea, I was like: is this a church organ or....

haha, this is still awesome regardless.

  • the Britons and the former British Empire are so majestic... God save Queen Elizabeth II., by the Grace Queen of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.... Rule Britannia

  • wow Fantastic!

  • Wish to hear this masterpiece life! Very good work!

  • Why am I thinking 'Last Night of the Proms' here?

You on the mighty organ in the Royal Abert Hall reducing the crowd of Hooray Henries to quivering submission!

If the organ has no percussion there's usually a good orchestra for accompaniment...

The finale of this peice is the audio equivalent of a canonade.

  • Dude, you're absolutely Awesome!!!

    I suscribed!!

  • wow, great work

  • really enjoyed this! :)

  • By Jove, old boy, good job indeed! Need a good organist like you for my wedding, just let me know where I can catch you up!

  • Great sound for such a relative small organ, the percussian part makes the difference, sounds very well, just 4 manuals, foot manual and percussion added. Great impact on sound. This time organ and manuals together in picture, great!

  • An impressive panoply of noble and memorable tunes played with marvelous virtuosity. There is enough majesty here to entertain Sir Colin Davis at the Last Night of the Proms. *****

    Glenn

  • Very well played

  • Luca, its always so much fun to see you play so virtously. Keep on posting videos of your play.

  • Un tributo al Regno Unito che anche noi italiani non possiamo non apprezzare!!

  • Don't want to take it back to the colonies. VaD3rTM! But we all, British and American alike, could learn from our pshared pasts and realize thatwe have both strayed a bit too far from our dignified roots.

  • not american, only pure brtitsh

  • We have strayed too far. While the Mother Country is far from blameless, the example set for us was unprecidented. Thanks for setting us on the right path; maybe we will find our way back. Did some mention secession?

  • Well hopefully the Americas will find themselves back under the English Monarch once again in the future, You never can tell.

  • absolutely, for definate

  • good eye

  • And we think no better of your people either, considering your not even a race but a mix bred people made up of European blood, just remember who your Mother Country is.

  • actually i'm middle eastern :P I say what I do because of the scars their empire left on much of the world including mine. thats why I live here

  • Scars, we cultured the land we took and then gave it back to you tenfold. If it were your country that had the Empire you'd have been proud of it aswell, but since it wasn't you automatically see the bad side. If it wasn't for us places like the US, Iraq, India wouldn't be anywhere near as advanced as they are now. As we like to say to foreigners, if you live there we've likely built it up for you.

  • British Mandates and Laws are some of the most sophisticated in the world, if you notice on the decline of the British Empire from most of these countries, 3 or 4 years later they've all gone downhill, what does that tell you?

  • incredibile!!!

  • I am a Yank, through and through, but this makes me want to stand up and salute the Union Jack. I do not care what anyone says, the farther we stray from the ideals and customs brought to the forefront by western Europe during the time of the Empire, the further we have strayed from where we should be.

  • At last someone from the US that has some sense of where they should be, good on you for feeling the glory for the Mother Country!

  • OMG YOU ARE AMAZING :D from Sweden

  • Handel81 please to give back your video of "the British Grenadiers" on organ I enjoyed very much but you take away. Sorry my english is not so good,

  • Bravo Luca. Saluti da Venaria Reale (Turin, ITALY)

  • Wooooooow :) You`re the Best :)

    I am in huge fascinate.

    Greetings from Poland :)

  • a beautiful medley of three of the most majestic national airs any country could wish to have.

    Eric, US

  • I know I commented this great video a month ago.... but a day hasn't gone by yet.. and I haven't watched it. It's a blessing to have computers these days. William from USA.

  • When I closed my eyes I could imagine the whole orchestra. Love it!

  • Excellent, I love the percussion lol. Thanks for posting :0) .

  • RULE EUROPE!

  • This organ must be a hybrid--part digital part "pipe". Too many voices for what is apparently a largish-medium sized organ with orchestral voices. I add that all pipe organs heard over the internet are effectively "digital".

    Excellent performance btw. Thanks.

  • No No my dear friend....This is a very pipe organ!!! Not a digital is really! the percussion is really!

  • Ok. I believe you. But from where did the percussion come from and the orchestral sounds? If it's not a theatre organ I'm really mystified....and curious. Please explain.

    Sincerely.

  • @Handel81 Is the percussion for real? Is it somehow controlled by the organ? Maybe it is digitally controlled, but are the percussion sounds for real? I have no idea how it works.

Fantastic playing, Luca. It is a lust to see and hear you perform!

  • This organ consists of two parts. The other, the bigger part cannot be seen on this video. It's in the back of the camera.

  • @gondolacrescent5 Here: ?v=HfmFpycqOKI you can see the "other" part of the organ. In this setting it's behind the player. It's MUCH larger, than what you see here. It's essentialy two pipe organs controled from one console.

  • @gondolacrescent5 You can see the percussion move in the little box under the pipes.

  • grazie!

  • Words can't even describe how great that was! You did a MAGNIFICENT JOB on the organ. I just started playing the Organ last year. You've just made me want to learn to play even better. I've never heard the opening performance before God Save The Queen. I'd like to learn it. I've also never heard of cymbals/drums from an organ! Sounds like a FULL ORCHESTRA! Thanks for this great performance.

    ~William

  • Bravissimo...

  • BRAVO!!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • Wunderbar! Beifallsrufe!

  • @kohl57

  • Oooooh my!!

An incredible demonstration of the power of the organ! The King of Instruments!

    Luca, tu sei un maestro!

  • wow that's really amazing! ;)

  • Superb! Splendid!! Outstanding!!!!

    Professional!!!! all the way!!!

    Who is this organist?

  • Cherio, pip, pip.

  • As a Canadian, this performance just blows me away with the sheer force of it all! Well done

  • Buon lavoro con l'organo, vorrei poter giocare come te!

  • PS. and this regard has only increased since Fabio Capello took over the running of the England football team. God Bless Fabio Capello, Roberto Chellini and Roberta Prandi ;0).

  • I have always held Italians in high regard but can only say thank you to the Italian who came up with this! Grazie!

  • What a difference between the glorious empire which flourished when this song was written, and the sad land of today, that has abandoned its heritage and bows before the tyranny of Islam. I hope the true soul of the British Empire returns!

  • Hear! hear1

  • If Britons would just stop apologising for being, well, BRITISH, that would be a start. The British Empire was the greatest source of good and progress the world has known since Christianity and yet it been taught to two generations of British children as something to be ashamed of. I bet most don't even know the words to "Rule Britannia" or "Land of Hope & Glory" let alone be able to sing it in school.

  • I'm glad to say I come from the generation immediately after the End of Empire so I still learnt Rule Britannia and had a more balanced view of the Empire. And on balance - and despite the Boer War and the Opium Wars (fancy addicting all China to Indian opium just to make money) - the balance was definitely positive.

  • Immerhin hat Richard Löwenherz dem deutschen Kaiser Heinrich den Vasalleneid geschworen.

Also schön auf dem Teppich bleiben.

  • As the Spanish-American philosopher George Santayana observed of the Englishman, Never since the heroic days of Greece has the world had such a sweet, just, boyish master. It will be a black day for the human race when scientific blackguards, conspirators, churls and fanatics manage to supplant him. It was a black day.

  • @ataramprat: well said indeed, fight for britain and the british people, down with islam in the uk!

  • @ataramprat methinks thou art right....in my humble opinion Britain is following the rest of Europe...alas!

  • @ataramprat I share your hopes, for the sake of our English friends. I hope that one day, all the people of Europe will be restored in their former glory and that they will work together for a better world.

    Greetings from the Netherlands.

  • @ataramprat - I am giving this a thumbs up because you are right - although it is so sad.

  • Entusiasmante!!!

  • And England Shall be free, if England means as much to you as england means to me....

  • Stirrs the blood!

  • I doubt English language will ever vanish.

  • Imagine a day when English is wiped fron the mind, as just another obscure foreign language... 30-40 years it may be so. No more Nelson @ Trafalgar, Cornwallace @ Yorktown, no more Waterloo, no more Cook's South Pacific, no Shakespear, no Gettysburg Address. We face that reality soon. Not for us, but for our kids. We must do something about it... Spanish and Arabic will soon be the 2 main languages with Chineese being a close 3rd. Stand for something or fall for anything! Stand up and fight it!

  • Right. I think you need worry less about English and more about your vanishing intelligence.

  • Will English potentially disappear? Yes. That soon? No. Give it a couple of centuries. As long as we have a larger e-peen than everybody else English will still maintain a very, very strong presence.

  • Also anybody who thinks organs don't have percussion divisions hasn't done any homework.

  • I love your performance!!!Great!!!

  • What a great sounding Italian organ. And yes, even in the 19th century one could often find percussions such as these on Italian organs. Great playing.

  • Very clever organist!

  • Very beautiful!Where is this organ?

  • Is this the greatest organist on the world? in my opinion - YES

  • Is the drum coming from the pedal?

  • watch his right foot in beginning, this pianist has talent...

  • ??

The Rule Britannia Aria.. I am not sure, but its remind an Overture of Giuseppe Verdi, this is really the same?

But I don't remember which opening it was, if someone has an idea..

  • It's very uplifting to listen to. Before I listened to it I was quite down, but after, I felt great! Good job Handel81.

  • God save our gracious Queen! Rule Britannia!

  • Just brilliant! I have to admit I listen to this at least once a day. This is the best arrangement and rendition of The National Anthem I've ever heard, bar none. Handel81 doesn indeed need to professionally record his works and put out a proper cd!

  • you are right for the cd!

    I want my cd too!

  • amazing ! WOW

  • Wonderful to listen to :)

  • This is really nice stuff...you ought to put out some CDs, you can play a lot better than most of the professionals I see over in the US.

  • Epic

  • Fantastic!

  • The world needs the Brits to get their Scottish warriors out of the pub , locate the remains of the empire in Canada and Australia and Nepal and live up once again to the spirit of the glorious music they possess. The world needs your moral certitude and willingness to see things through. Get on with it. I hope Obama will be smart enough to listen to the PM rather than Jeremiah Wright and William Ayres.

  • Thanks :)

  • Riguardandolo, è in assoluto il più bel video che possiedi! :) Saluti.

  • spooky lol

  • I really liked this! Thanks for uploading.

  • hahaha, yes it does move :)

  • Stupendo

  • :-O this is good!

    Adding to favorites :D

  • Bravo! Bravo! Bravissimo!!!!!! Greeting from Japan

  • Fantastic medley of Rule Britannia and God Save the Queen. You've made a homesick Brit living in Montevideo (Uruguay) even more homesick ;-)

    Great video. Cheers, JG

  • eccellente, brillante! Che dire... Complimenti!

  • Wow... just incredible. Very talented indeed! *****

  • Sei un grande!!! Regali sempre grandi emozioni coi tuoi arrangiamenti!!! Con questo stupendo organo provvisto di percussioni potresti registrare qualcosa dei maestri dell'organo operistico come Padre Davide da Bergamo o Giovanni Morandi!

  • GREAT

  • Support the Commonwealth, the British Union and the Monarchy. God save the Queen!!! No republic!!

  • wow, what a trompets

  • Una grande intelligenza musicale unita ad una macchina orchestrale prodigiosa. Mi sono divertito!!!

  • This instrument rivals many of our Theatre Organs

  • I'm from spain and I like very much this british clasic!

  • Here in holland it's a catholic song :P

  • Which catholic song in Holland?

  • I doen't know the title... I heard it a time ago, ofcourse I knew that it was a British song. The chorus goes like:

God bewaar ons, bewaar ons in Uw hand. Leid ons als een Vader naar Uw land.

    Which is something like.

God protect(save) us, protect us in Thy hand. Lead us like a Father to Thy land(country/kingdom)...

I guess it can be sung by protestants too ?

  • Found a clip on youtube with the melody of Rule Brittania with the title "Ga nu heen in Vrede" (Go now in peace). Clip nr is "lYESgL9YOtQ" (could not post the entire link....). It is a part of the TV show "Nederland zingt" (The Netherlands are singing).

    Regards, Frankievee (Spijkenisse)

  • Kun je de link dmv een bericht sturen?

    Bedankt!

Ja Nederland zingt kennen we. Het is een superprogramma... Maar volgens mij is het van de buis gehaald?

  • Laat maar, ik heb het gevonden. Het is van uit de RK Sint Bavo hè?

  • If you are a Brit you should be standing to attention while watching this, probably with tears in your eyes too!

  • oh settle down!

  • fantastic, an excellent performance of good old fashioned British classics! :-)

  • I'm sure you have touched every Brit who has heard this wonderful piece. 5 stars!

  • I liebe es!

  • Grandissimo!!! Sono l'allievo di Bonoldi!!! Abbiamo guardato a casa sua il tuo video con il tuo superorgano restaurato con le percussioni!!! Forse al concerto in maggio vengo anch'io. Davvero bravo!!!

  • complimenti...potrei ascoltarti per ore!

  • Molto Buono!!! Very good!!! Love your medley and performance!

  • Ideale per una cerimonia d'incoronazione...

  • "feemeister" if you watch this vidio full screen in the middle at the far right you can make out the drum in action. Also watch the organ builders site at "alleorg" and watch his vidos "crazy organ" and "imnprovisation of percussion" you will see him hard at work installig the percussion instrumets - drums, cymbals, bell etc. Truly Alessandro has crafted a magnificent organ and who better to show it off than Luca!! Thanks to you both for sharing your wonderful artistic talent!!

  • very good, thanks for uploading.
