Great sound for such a relative small organ, the percussian part makes the difference, sounds very well, just 4 manuals, foot manual and percussion added. Great impact on sound. This time organ and manuals together in picture, great!

I really do have a disdain for the English (Britons shall always be slaves, even if only in blissful ignorance) but I do confess they wrote a great anthem.. and that aside, I think you play beautifully.. Are you a signed musician?? you really should be! I'd love to see a more climactic version at the chorus parts, but that's just me, you still do it excellent..
And we think no better of your people either, considering your not even a race but a mix bred people made up of European blood, just remember who your Mother Country is.
Scars, we cultured the land we took and then gave it back to you tenfold. If it were your country that had the Empire you'd have been proud of it aswell, but since it wasn't you automatically see the bad side. If it wasn't for us places like the US, Iraq, India wouldn't be anywhere near as advanced as they are now. As we like to say to foreigners, if you live there we've likely built it up for you.
British Mandates and Laws are some of the most sophisticated in the world, if you notice on the decline of the British Empire from most of these countries, 3 or 4 years later they've all gone downhill, what does that tell you?
I am a Yank, through and through, but this makes me want to stand up and salute the Union Jack. I do not care what anyone says, the farther we stray from the ideals and customs brought to the forefront by western Europe during the time of the Empire, the further we have strayed from where we should be.
I know I commented this great video a month ago.... but a day hasn't gone by yet.. and I haven't watched it. It's a blessing to have computers these days. William from USA.
This organ must be a hybrid--part digital part "pipe". Too many voices for what is apparently a largish-medium sized organ with orchestral voices. I add that all pipe organs heard over the internet are effectively "digital".
Ok. I believe you. But from where did the percussion come from and the orchestral sounds? If it's not a theatre organ I'm really mystified....and curious. Please explain.
@Handel81 Is the percussion for real? Is it somehow controlled by the organ? Maybe it is digitally controlled, but are the percussion sounds for real? I have no idea how it works.
Fantastic playing, Luca. It is a lust to see and hear you perform!
@gondolacrescent5 Here: ?v=HfmFpycqOKI you can see the "other" part of the organ. In this setting it's behind the player. It's MUCH larger, than what you see here. It's essentialy two pipe organs controled from one console.
Words can't even describe how great that was! You did a MAGNIFICENT JOB on the organ. I just started playing the Organ last year. You've just made me want to learn to play even better. I've never heard the opening performance before God Save The Queen. I'd like to learn it. I've also never heard of cymbals/drums from an organ! Sounds like a FULL ORCHESTRA! Thanks for this great performance.
PS. and this regard has only increased since Fabio Capello took over the running of the England football team. God Bless Fabio Capello, Roberto Chellini and Roberta Prandi ;0).
What a difference between the glorious empire which flourished when this song was written, and the sad land of today, that has abandoned its heritage and bows before the tyranny of Islam. I hope the true soul of the British Empire returns!
If Britons would just stop apologising for being, well, BRITISH, that would be a start. The British Empire was the greatest source of good and progress the world has known since Christianity and yet it been taught to two generations of British children as something to be ashamed of. I bet most don't even know the words to "Rule Britannia" or "Land of Hope & Glory" let alone be able to sing it in school.
I'm glad to say I come from the generation immediately after the End of Empire so I still learnt Rule Britannia and had a more balanced view of the Empire. And on balance - and despite the Boer War and the Opium Wars (fancy addicting all China to Indian opium just to make money) - the balance was definitely positive.
As the Spanish-American philosopher George Santayana observed of the Englishman, Never since the heroic days of Greece has the world had such a sweet, just, boyish master. It will be a black day for the human race when scientific blackguards, conspirators, churls and fanatics manage to supplant him. It was a black day.
@ataramprat I share your hopes, for the sake of our English friends. I hope that one day, all the people of Europe will be restored in their former glory and that they will work together for a better world.
Imagine a day when English is wiped fron the mind, as just another obscure foreign language... 30-40 years it may be so. No more Nelson @ Trafalgar, Cornwallace @ Yorktown, no more Waterloo, no more Cook's South Pacific, no Shakespear, no Gettysburg Address. We face that reality soon. Not for us, but for our kids. We must do something about it... Spanish and Arabic will soon be the 2 main languages with Chineese being a close 3rd. Stand for something or fall for anything! Stand up and fight it!
Will English potentially disappear? Yes. That soon? No. Give it a couple of centuries. As long as we have a larger e-peen than everybody else English will still maintain a very, very strong presence.
What a great sounding Italian organ. And yes, even in the 19th century one could often find percussions such as these on Italian organs. Great playing.

No, it is not. The organ pedals do not produced the drum. There are few other players whcih are not filed in this video. If you ahve time adn can visit a church orgam, try to test the organ and step on the pedals - the pedals produce the bass and the beats manily.
Just brilliant! I have to admit I listen to this at least once a day. This is the best arrangement and rendition of The National Anthem I've ever heard, bar none. Handel81 doesn indeed need to professionally record his works and put out a proper cd!
The world needs the Brits to get their Scottish warriors out of the pub , locate the remains of the empire in Canada and Australia and Nepal and live up once again to the spirit of the glorious music they possess. Grandissimo!!! Sono l'allievo di Bonoldi!!! Abbiamo guardato a casa sua il tuo video con il tuo superorgano restaurato con le percussioni!!! Forse al concerto in maggio vengo anch'io. Davvero bravo!!!
"feemeister" if you watch this vidio full screen in the middle at the far right you can make out the drum in action. Also watch the organ builders site at "alleorg" and watch his vidos "crazy organ" and "imnprovisation of percussion" you will see him hard at work installig the percussion instrumets - drums, cymbals, bell etc. Truly Alessandro has crafted a magnificent organ and who better to show it off than Luca!! Thanks to you both for sharing your wonderful artistic talent!!

You on the mighty organ in the Royal Abert Hall reducing the crowd of Hooray Henries to quivering submission!
If the organ has no percussion there's usually a good orchestra for accompaniment...

I guess it can be sung by protestants too ?
