Kimbo's MAIN problem is his stamina and ground game, Kimbo Slice has to improve his stamina so he can last longer in fights, he also has to improve his jiu-jitsu on the ground, and his striking needs a little more accuracy

@julljulliz You're joking... Have you seen his street fights? They're all essentially boxing matches, and if he can't beat a guy in the UFC than he DEFINITELY can't beat a guy on the street. Kimbo is a decent boxer, but he loses his stamina so quickly. If he went up against a guy who can box better, has better ground game and can outlast him stamina wise... he loses. Which is what happens generally, he's beaten a bunch of cans in some fights that were just to make him look good. Kimbo sucks.

Forgot to respond to the Mike Tyson comment lol. That guy IS and always was a killing and honestly boxers DO NOT have a problem beating MMA fighters in a street fight. That just plays right into my point. What does a boxer do when taken down in the cage? He can't do anything that is instinctive, elbow in the back of the head, knee or kick a downed opponent, choke, low blow or eye gouge, he has to use Jujitsu. Its an incredible disadvantage and Diana White thinks UFC guys kill boxers. I say lol.
That is one of the reasons why American fighters always beat them in UFC pay per views and why they never look impressive when they fight here. That's a really huge advantage if you know much about fighting or was bullied a lot by a big guy when you were a kid lol. There are a lot of killers walking the streets today and would have a lot tougher time cutting weight than destroying someone in a street fight where one elbow to the back of the head or a knee in the face of a kneeling opponent is KO
Why? I think because of all the things I mentioned and more. In that famous fight Royce Gracie was wearing a rob that he was known for using to tie up his opponents hands when they tried to grab it (and all of them did, why wouldn't you?). No robe vs Hughes. Modern fighters also cut huge amounts of weight the day before the fight so when they walk around fight day they are 20 pounds over the weight limit which Hughes does very well. Japanese fighters weight in the day of the fight unlike we do.
You might say its an unfair point but I really don't think it is. The same thing applies in boxing. All those guys in heavyweight have no weight requirement and have to fight guys of any size, much the same way the UFC did back in the early days when they had no rules. I don't think Matt Hughes would last 5 minutes with Kimo if you remember that famous fight he lost to Royce Gracie. Even with UFC rules he would get murdered. Yet Royce Gracie beat him and got murdered by Matt Hughes.
@asesino1 I like your point as Matt Hughes is definitely a genetic beast and I do like him. Though I did mention before all the ways in which it is so easy to stop a guy who's only weapons are take downs, (I love the guy but he just does not have stand up) lets assume his conditioning makes him an exception. Lets remember he is a 170 fighter. People tend to forget watching weight classed UFC matches how impossibly hard fighting a guy 50 pounds larger than you is. He is also a very short guy.
How many times do you see in every single UFC pay per view the refs warning fighters not to hit the back of the head or the spine area of the back or not to grab the trunks or to stop grabbing the fence or that you can't knee or kick a downed opponent because all of those things are against the rules. All those things are game changers and so is having a cage to push guys up against and most people just don't realize how big those differences are. The streets are a totally different world son.
Its apples and oranges to compare old STREET FIGHTER legends like Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbot with UFC guys. The Modern UFC is more like a lab of scientists working on how to make the ultimate soldier. Every fighter has a whole military style training camp where everyone comes together and helps the guy who is about to fight train and get him prepared. They have all kinds of supplements and nutritionists. In a cage with very strict rules sure, but most UFC guys would be dead on the streets.
@promossage you are true in one aspect of your claim, it is true that most professional mma fighters have very good camps which prepare them for every fight, but i doubt that a guy like Matt Hugues would get "killed" on The streets, come on, is like saying that mike tyson would be killed by any "streetfighter" these guys are PROFESIONAL fighters, they have years and years of training behind them, they are not internet warriors like you and me, they are almost superhumans.
They let him in the ufc because of the money everyone wanted to see him professionally fight

@julljulliz You're joking... Have you seen his street fights? They're all essentially boxing matches, and if he can't beat a guy in the UFC than he DEFINITELY can't beat a guy on the street. Kimbo is a decent boxer, but he loses his stamina so quickly. If he went up against a guy who can box better, has better ground game and can outlast him stamina wise... he loses. Which is what happens generally, he's beaten a bunch of cans in some fights that were just to make him look good. Kimbo sucks.

Forgot to respond to the Mike Tyson comment lol. That guy IS and always was a killing and honestly boxers DO NOT have a problem beating MMA fighters in a street fight. That just plays right into my point. What does a boxer do when taken down in the cage? He can't do anything that is instinctive, elbow in the back of the head, knee or kick a downed opponent, choke, low blow or eye gouge, he has to use Jujitsu. Its an incredible disadvantage and Diana White thinks UFC guys kill boxers. I say lol.

That is one of the reasons why American fighters always beat them in UFC pay per views and why they never look impressive when they fight here. That's a really huge advantage if you know much about fighting or was bullied a lot by a big guy when you were a kid lol. There are a lot of killers walking the streets today and would have a lot tougher time cutting weight than destroying someone in a street fight where one elbow to the back of the head or a knee in the face of a kneeling opponent is KO

Why? I think because of all the things I mentioned and more. In that famous fight Royce Gracie was wearing a rob that he was known for using to tie up his opponents hands when they tried to grab it (and all of them did, why wouldn't you?). No robe vs Hughes. Modern fighters also cut huge amounts of weight the day before the fight so when they walk around fight day they are 20 pounds over the weight limit which Hughes does very well. Japanese fighters weight in the day of the fight unlike we do.

You might say its an unfair point but I really don't think it is. The same thing applies in boxing. All those guys in heavyweight have no weight requirement and have to fight guys of any size, much the same way the UFC did back in the early days when they had no rules. I don't think Matt Hughes would last 5 minutes with Kimo if you remember that famous fight he lost to Royce Gracie. Even with UFC rules he would get murdered. Yet Royce Gracie beat him and got murdered by Matt Hughes.

@asesino1 I like your point as Matt Hughes is definitely a genetic beast and I do like him. Though I did mention before all the ways in which it is so easy to stop a guy who's only weapons are take downs, (I love the guy but he just does not have stand up) lets assume his conditioning makes him an exception. Lets remember he is a 170 fighter. People tend to forget watching weight classed UFC matches how impossibly hard fighting a guy 50 pounds larger than you is. He is also a very short guy.

How many times do you see in every single UFC pay per view the refs warning fighters not to hit the back of the head or the spine area of the back or not to grab the trunks or to stop grabbing the fence or that you can't knee or kick a downed opponent because all of those things are against the rules. All those things are game changers and so is having a cage to push guys up against and most people just don't realize how big those differences are. The streets are a totally different world son.

Its apples and oranges to compare old STREET FIGHTER legends like Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbot with UFC guys. The Modern UFC is more like a lab of scientists working on how to make the ultimate soldier. Every fighter has a whole military style training camp where everyone comes together and helps the guy who is about to fight train and get him prepared. They have all kinds of supplements and nutritionists. In a cage with very strict rules sure, but most UFC guys would be dead on the streets.
