Sesshomaru is perhaps one of my most favorite anime characters, so this following comment isn't mean to be an insult. Don't you think it would be hilarious if a boulder fell on him and crushed him as he walked out of the imploded cave of Kyora?

@TheBlackKatana That is a battle I would love to see!!! They are both extremely similar.. Aristicrats, calm/collected even in battles. Both seem to be apathetic towards others, rarely show emotions. And both are strong fighters!!

They should've made him more dynamic in that fight to show-off his left! Even in the episode leading up to his arm getting cut off he's shown using it for balance and gestures. *is sad*

@Precious11105 I wonder if the creator possibly wanted to avoid Inuyasha ever becoming practically invulnerable(as happens far too often in anime's making the protagonist less interesting) so Sesshoumaru was made to deal more directly with the subject of 'power versus compassion' and to satisfy those of us who enjoy that kind of character. Not to say Sesshoumaru isn't very interesting but usually these "cool badass" types are most alluring when a sense of mystery is maintained to the viewer.

The InuYasha movies were all pretty bad except the third one. Oh well, Sesshomaru>Inuyasha bitches!

Inuyasha cut off Sesshys arm and then slashed him, sending him down his fathers corpse. ^^

I don't get movie 4 at all (beside the awesome scenes with Sesshomaru in it). Did Sesshomaru decide that the 4 war gods are just weak opponents and just gave up looking for them after he totally maimed that Fire God. I mean did he not think the crimson scars on his back are pretty annoying, Why did he not go after the other three. Or did he just let that be taken care of by Inuyasha? and only killed the FireGod because he was just an eye sore to him?
@sfdmoment its because the fire god betrayed him in the past and placed the mark of the four gods on his back, so he just wanted to finish off that annoyance and move on
@sfdmoment He didn't have to kill any of them, but the scars the Fire War God inflicted mystically forbid that Sesshomaru leave the island he was on, and because of them the god trace where ever he went on the island. If anyone is marked by one of those gods he is doomed to the same fate unless he kills the god that marked him. So Sesshomaru killed him so he could go about his business and leave the island.
The ultimate in strong opponents=respect for Inuyasha. This so-called god doesn't even equal his half-human brother, who has defeated and maimed him in the past. The blood of Inu No Taisho carries *great* power.
@scarabmango Inuyasha has the main character syndrome. They have to make him win or they wouldn't be a story.....so bragging about Inuyasha is meaningless.
@kingzaraki It would be meaningless if he were some little weakling who only won by relying on Dei Ex Machina. That's simply not the case with Inuyasha; he brings it to the table when it's time to eat.
@scarabmango I wasn't calling him weak. I said he is strong because he is the main character. It's the same as kakarot from dragon ball z.. He "brings it to the table when it's time to eat" too. Yet everyone knows he only wins so much because he is the main character, the writer has to make him dumb strong for that soul reason. A main character being strong is a given. Which is why I said bragging about a main character's power is pointless. Its like bragging about a fish because it can swim.
@kingzaraki You do make a valid point. I think it's most annoying when the main character *isn't* strong and only wins by having his/her ass saved by someone else, or when all their powers are just handed to them with no effort in return. With Inuyasha, you at least get the feeling that a lot of work and pain goes into his increases in power; yeah, he's winning because the writer said so, but you never feel like it was otherwise impossible.
1. the episode where Sesshoumaru first get tokijin he easily beats inuyasha, but totsai help inuyasha escape
2. when Sesshoumaru was looking for leads for naraku he easily beat inuyasha (after inuyasha learned the backlash wave) and spared him becos kagome begged him to
3. in the third movie Sesshoumaru's dragon strike overwhelms inuyasha's backlash wave
now if Sesshoumaru had bakusaiga in the episodes when he fought inuyasha, even main character syndrome would not save him
@aw454wtr Without learning humility and compassion from Inuyasha and Rin, respectively, he wouldn't have been worthy of wielding or even *holding* Bakusaiga. That sword was only meant to manifest itself when Sesshomaru "grew up" and realized that the role of protector came before that of destroyer. The Sesshomaru that fought Inuyasha and the Sesshomaru that helped destroy Naraku are like two different beings; he had a LOT of growth and revelation in between.

I don't get movie 4 at all (beside the awesome scenes with Sesshomaru in it). Did Sesshomaru decide that the 4 war gods are just weak opponents and just gave up looking for them after he totally maimed that Fire God. I mean did he not think the crimson scars on his back are pretty annoying, Why did he not go after the other three. Or did he just let that be taken care of by Inuyasha? and only killed the FireGod because he was just an eye sore to him?

@sfdmoment He didn't have to kill any of them, but the scars the Fire War God inflicted mystically forbid that Sesshomaru leave the island he was on, and because of them the god trace where ever he went on the island. If anyone is marked by one of those gods he is doomed to the same fate unless he kills the god that marked him. So Sesshomaru killed him so he could go about his business and leave the island.

@scarabmango I wasn't calling him weak. I said he is strong because he is the main character. It's the same as kakarot from dragon ball z.. He "brings it to the table when it's time to eat" too. Yet everyone knows he only wins so much because he is the main character, the writer has to make him dumb strong for that soul reason. A main character being strong is a given. Which is why I said bragging about a main character's power is pointless. Its like bragging about a fish because it can swim.

@kingzaraki You do make a valid point. I think it's most annoying when the main character *isn't* strong and only wins by having his/her ass saved by someone else, or when all their powers are just handed to them with no effort in return. With Inuyasha, you at least get the feeling that a lot of work and pain goes into his increases in power; yeah, he's winning because the writer said so, but you never feel like it was otherwise impossible.

2. when Sesshoumaru was looking for leads for naraku he easily beat inuyasha (after inuyasha learned the backlash wave) and spared him becos kagome begged him to
3. in the third movie Sesshoumaru's dragon strike overwhelms inuyasha's backlash wave
now if Sesshoumaru had bakusaiga in the episodes when he fought inuyasha, even main character syndrome would not save him

@aw454wtr Without learning humility and compassion from Inuyasha and Rin, respectively, he wouldn't have been worthy of wielding or even *holding* Bakusaiga. That sword was only meant to manifest itself when Sesshomaru "grew up" and realized that the role of protector came before that of destroyer. The Sesshomaru that fought Inuyasha and the Sesshomaru that helped destroy Naraku are like two different beings; he had a LOT of growth and revelation in between.

@aw454wtr hahhahah LOL yes we all know who is more powerful, and you for got when Sesshomaru stole Tetsusaiga he killed 1000 demons in one sweep, it took Inuyasha at last the second episode to even get to know the true power of the sward, plus, Sesshomaru cut down a whole moutain LOL hehehhe, or at least cut though it with the sward, so we all know If Sesshomaru would have kept the sward, I honestly think the sward would be more powerful in his hands then Inuyasha's.
