My God, can this man sing. My all time favorite singer!! I love to watch his eyes when he sings, spine tingling. How this song only got to #31 I'll never know. So many of Jones' songs were some how over looked in the charts, but are solid gold!! I'd pay just to hear him sing the phone book. Thanks to youtube i have over 8 hours of great Possum music in a play list.

minescountry2, Hey, is this from the HBO special, with G. Jones & Randy Travis??? Man'O Man, my Grand-dad (RIP d.2001) loved George Jones! It's all he'd play during the 4-5hr ride, up to Moon River on fishing trips. I remember watching the special I mentioned, together. I have been looking for it, and this song, for years!

@kcarroll64... I don't think this came out until 1991 on the Along Came Jones album. None the less, it is an awesome song and one my favorite George Jones songs. This song really shows what is so special about his voice, especially the runs up to the high notes.

@robinrayholmes - I think that if Jones himself had even the slightest clue how great he actually is his head would probably explode! Jones is so modest, he thinks his singing is something that isn't worth mentioning, and once said in an interview "I don't know why everyone makes such a big fuss, I'm just doin' my thing". Poor George, he is the ONLY person who doesn't recognize his own genius.

He's iconic and will always be. When Johnny Cash was asked who is his favorite singer? He replies "besides George Jones?" In my opinion, one of his best songs ever. The other one is 50,000 names on the wall. He is truly the greatest country music singer ever to walk the face of the Earth.

Wow...that man can sing! What an AMAZING vocalist! I was just watching an interview where Waylon Jennings said "if we could all sound like we wanted, we'd all sound like George Jones" The performance on this video is a prime example of how amazing his voice and style really are!
