Too bad that you worship vocalists instead of the music. Especially in such a splendid song like the one above where the vocalist is to the least irrelevant. I think people like you -who see metal like it is a pop arena of "heavier" proportions- give a bad name to melodic metal which at its best can write songs equally complex, interesting as the heavier genres.

In good music the vocalist should be irrelevant or "just one more instrument of the orchestra/band", if not you have a frontman/frontwoman which saves the band from mediocrity, I like to think that Epica is not in the above category, at least not anymore. If you worship Ms Simons then find a poster of hers and pray to it, you don't have to listen to her band. Leave your teenage games away from good music.

You blind fool, would you say the same if Simone with her "awesome voice" was singing Nickelback? Wake up and see what happens, the composer is everything, props to Ms Simons who can express him so well but without him she would be far from the best vocalist in your mind. Without his "diva" -though- the composer would still write great music, just a bit less so.
