at the end, it looked like you were in the 3d pit, but the mfd extractor still worked. were you playing open falcon?

Yeah, that's not a problem. Using MDFE does not mean you can't see 3D pit if you want. However, if you have your real cockpit pretty functional, it's nice to use modified files (mode from Aeyes) which let you enjoy 3D view with HUD-view only (without the rest of the pit). This way you feel like in real aircraft.

What are you using to hook up so many LCDs to one computer?  I was looking at Saitek's stuff but for a few more bucks I can get Lilliput touchscreens if there's a way to hook so many up at once.

Yes, of course - you just need several graphic cards + software (like MFD Exporter)
